Good evening,

Merry Christmas sweeties! I hope you're spending a precious holiday time with your beloved ones!

Today I have a card for you with no stamping and coloring at all ;-) Instead I die cut these beautiful Frosty Flakes from white cardstock and arranged them all over an Alcohol Ink background.

The word «Noel» is from the Christmas Words Die #2 set.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #72

15.12.2018

Good morning everyone,

today starts the last challenge for this year over at the bastel-traum.ch blog. The new theme is «Shaker card/Special card shape».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until January 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

It's also the last challenge for me as a DT member because I decided to step down. Thank you Ute and Tom for having me! Best luck to you and the DT girls ♥

I created this elegant and feminine Christmas shaker card using the beautiful Hero Arts «Deer and Ornament Fancy Die».

For the yummy background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks «Tattered Rose», «Worn Lipstick» and «Picked Raspberry». I die cut the negative deers/leafy image from white cardstock and adhered a piece of acetate behind it. The sentiment from the Hello Bluebird «Rooftop Reindeer» set was heat embossed in gold.

To create my shaker, I popped up the die cut panel with foam tape. I filled in pretty sequins and seed beads in clear, gold and pink tones by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Christmas».

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Bluebird • Merry Pigs • Falala

12.12.2018

Hello peeps,

the Christmas card production is still going strong although I will be late sending them out (like every year). Today I'm sharing this card that I made with the new Hello Bluebird  Merry Pigs set.

Colored this cutie with Copics and cut him out with the companion die. For my card design, I used the versatile Gallery Frame Die #2. I die cut the outside scalloped frame from woodgrain cardstock and the window frame from striped paper (My Favorite Things «Candy Land 6x6 Paper Pack»).

I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks «Tumbled Glass», «Broken China» and «Peacock Feathers» to create my sky background. The sentiments were white heat embossed onto strips of black cardstock. I also die cut the word «falala» (Christmas Words Die #1) from red glitter cardstock and a snow bank (Hill and Dale Die) from white glitter cardstock. Finally, I popped up the piggy image with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • Skating Party • Have an ice day

07.12.2018

Hi everyone,

today, I'm back with a card using fun new products from the Hello Bluebird November Release. On my winter card I used the Skating Party set and the Skating Pond Scene Die.

For the background, I blended together blue Distress Inks and let it fade out toward the bottom of the panel. Next, I die cut the scene pieces from several cardstocks. It's so easy to put a scene like this together.

I love these adorable ice skating critters which I colored with Copics and cut out with the Skating Party companion dies. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on the card and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge December

05.12.2018

Good morning friends,

it's that time of year again where most of us are busy preparing for the holidays. I'm pleased with the new theme for the Stempelgarten Challenge because I need to create more cards – it's «Christmas».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

These cats from the Poppy Stamps «Purrfect Holidays» set are having a fun Christmas party! They just make me smile :-)

First, I heat embossed the My Favorite Things «Radiating Halftone Background». Then I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves).

Next, I did some masking to combine the santa's hat with the cat as well as the star and the christmas tree. I colored the images with my Copics and fussy cut them out with scissors. I gold heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and die cut both, the background and the strip, with one of the MFT «A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2» Die-namics.

You will have time until December 31st, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Hello Bluebird • November Release • Team Share

29.11.2018

Hello peeps,

have you seen the new Hello Bluebird November Release products?! Everything is so adorable and fun to create with! This week the Design Team shares their projects for your inspiration.

Yesterday, we showcased the Frosty Littles set. These snowmen are just the cutest!

First, I blended together the two Distress Oxide Inks Milled Lavender and Tumbled Glass. These soft colors are perfect for a dreamy winter sky. I colored the images with Copics (altered the trees and gave them a snow cap, too) and white heat embossed the sentiment from the previously released Snow Play set.

For the card design, I used the versatile Gallery Frame Die #1 and cut a white and a grey frame. I placed the images into the die-cut window openings. I'm totally pleased how well and quick this card came together.

The second card features the fabulous North Star set. Of course, I had to create a starry night sky.

Again, I did some ink blending with my beloved Distress Oxides (Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Black Soot). I sprinkled on white paint to create a sky full of stars and white heat embossed the constellation images from the stamp set.

Next, I colored the cute critters with Copics and positioned them in front of a die-cut circle window. I love the beautiful sentiment which I heat embossed with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Altenew • Floral Art • Happy Birthday

22.11.2018

Hi everyone,

took a little break from holiday crafting to create this birthday card for my lovely aunt using the beautiful «Floral Art» stamp set by Altenew.

I stamped the solid flower and leaf images with Dye Inks by Altenew (Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red) and Simon Says Stamp (Fog). The outline images were heat embossed with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

For the background, I used the Altenew «Cross Stich Canvas Die» which die cuts a dotted panel in the size of an A2 card. Love the subtle texture it adds. I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Altenew «Persian Motifs» set on a strip of SSS «Fog» cardstock. Finally, I embellished the card with light pink, clear and white sequins from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Thanksgiving for those celebrating!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #71

15.11.2018

Good morning,

Eep! Only 38 days til Christmas! So let me invite you to join the new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog with the theme «Christmas/Winter».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until December 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I inked up the adorable Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember set «Merry Mail» they did in collaboration with Mama Elephant.

For the soft sky background, I ink blended some pastel Distress Oxide colors (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar). I added water droplets to create a little bit texture. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out.

When the background was completely dry, I white heat embossed the large word «merry». Next, I cut the cloud border with one of the Mama Elephant «Landscape Trio» dies. I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder before adhering the clouds with foam tape. To finish off my card, I added a tiny red heart next to the sentiment.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge November

05.11.2018

Good morning,

YAY! The Stempelgarten Challenge is finally back! The new theme for November is «Favorite Colors».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

How fun is this sweet My Favorite Things «Cool Christmas» stamp set?! I had to have it from the moment I saw it!

My favorite colors are aqua/turquoise, blue and bold colors in general. But I also like plain white and neutrals like my favorite light grey «Fog» cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I tried to incorporate my favorites in this Christmas card.

First, I sponged the background with «Tumbled Glass» Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut the row of houses (MFT «Our Town» Die-namics) and the road (MFT «Open Road» Die-namics) to help build a scene for my snowmen car. I heat embossed the sentiment with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

I stamped the images with VersaFine «Onyx Black» ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored them with ZIG Clean Color Real Brushes. For a little bit of dimension, I popped up the car and one of the trees with foam tape. I also adhered a small die-cut heart to one of the houses.

You will have time until November 30th, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Anything Goes».

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start to the new week!

Hello Bluebird • Snow Play • Tis the Season

03.11.2018

Hello everyone,

I'm catching up on using more of the fabulous Hello Bluebird October release products. Today's card features the cute Snow Play set, Tis the Season sentiment and Hill and Dale Die.

These cuties are so much fun and I colored them with Copics. For the background, I blended together «Blueprint Sketch» and «Mermaid Lagoon» Distress Oxide Inks. I sprinkled on some water to lift the color. I let it dry completely and white heat embossed the large sentiment.

I die cut two snow hills from white cardstock and arranged all my sweet critters – some were popped up with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a nice weekend!

Hello Bluebird • Halloween Fun • Boo!

31.10.2018

Hi peeps,

made this Halloween card just for fun using the ghosts from the Hello Bluebird Halloween Fun set along with one of the Spooky Script sentiments.

I stepped out of my comfort zone to create this 'uncontrolled' background with Nuvo «Violet Brocade» Shimmer Powder. Love the mix of purple, blue and pink! I cut my panel with a rounded stitched rectangle die from the My Favorite Things «Blueprint 31» Die-namics set.

The sweet ghosts were colored with Copics, cut out with the companion dies and adhered with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Finally, I decorated my card with black die-cut stars.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • Christmas is Coming • Merry Wishes

28.10.2018

Hello everyone,

I just can't get enough of Distress Oxide ink blended backgrounds, lately. Tried a new color combo with Spun Sugar, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch to create a purple night sky for my little critter gang using the new Hello Bluebird  Christmas is Coming set.

I colored these cuties with Copics and cut them out with the companion dies. Next, I die cut a snow bank using one of the Hill and Dale dies. You can't see it on the photo but I covered the die-cut with Judikins «Iridescent Sparkle» embossing powder. I popped up the hill and critters with foam tape.

I built my sentiment by combining the word «merry» from the Christmas Words Die #1 (cut from purple glitter paper) and the masked off «wishes» from the Snow Play set which I heat embossed with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder). To finish off my card, I adhered three silver star sequins by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a cozy Sunday!

Hello Bluebird • Pumpkin Patch • Thanks

24.10.2018

Hi peeps,

today I'm back with this colorful autumn-themed card featuring products from the latest Hello Bluebird October Release. I used the fabulous Pumpkin Patch and Autumn Script stamps.

The images were colored with Copics. I chose colors that would compliment the «Woodland Forest» patterned papers by Pebbles. I used one of the My Favorite Things «Jumbo Peek-A-Boo Circle Window» Die-namics. To make the sentiment stretch around the die cut circle window, I carefully curved it before stamping it with VersaMark ink and heat embossing it in white. But this meant, I had to fussy cut the word with my scissors and craft knife ;-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • Rooftop Reindeer • Merriest Wishes

22.10.2018

Hello everyone,

I finally got my hands on the amazing products of the Hello Bluebird October Release. So much cute stuff!

This is the first card I made using the Rooftop Reindeer set. I colored one of the adorable deers with Copics.

Then I combined it with the Birch Trees Die and a Distress Oxide Inks background to create a snowy winter scene. The sparkly hill was made with Tim Holtz «Clear Rock Candy» Distress Glitter.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Snow Play set (which is brand new, too) with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. Finally, I added two wood veneer stars to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Will be back soon!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #70

15.10.2018

Hi peeps,

it's that time again – today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog with the theme «Fall/Halloween».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until November 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I adore the Birdie Brown stamps Torico illustrates for My Favorite Things and had to ink up the sweet «Fall Friends».

For the background, I stamped the acorns, leaves and pumpkins with Distress Oxide Inks (love how crisp and opaque they stamp) on Kraft cardstock. I die cut the panel with one of the «A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX» Die-namics.

I colored the cute girl and squirrel with Copics and fussy cut them out. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the background next to the images which were adhered with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added Nuvo «Golden Sunset» Glitter Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start to the new week!

Hello Bluebird • Away in a Manger • Joy to the World

11.10.2018

Hi again,

I have another card to share with you using one of the older Hello Bluebird stamp sets which are of course lovely, too.

I re-created a card that I made for the first «Same but different» Challenge that I run together with my sweet friend Francine. I thought this design would be perfect for the two cute angels from the Away In A Manger set.

For the sunburst background, I used an embossing folder from the Lifestyle Crafts «Celebrate» set. I stamped the Country Gingham Background with «Tattered Rose» Distress Oxide Ink. I added the sentiment in black and cut the heart shape using the middle sized die of the Lawn Fawn «Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables». For some dimension, I popped up the heart with foam tape.

I colored the angels with Copics and cut them out using the companion dies. I adhered them on each side of the heart. Finally, I embellished my card with «Ice Cube Mix» Jewels by Little Things from Lucy's Cards and Nuvo «Rose Water» Jewel Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay tuned for the amazing Hello Bluebird October Release which goes live tomorrow!

Hello Bluebird • Frosty Friends • Let It Snow

Hello everyone,

only one more day til the new Hello Bluebird October Release will be available! As I did not have the chance to play with the goodies yet, I'm sharing a card with one of my very first Hello Bluebird stamp sets – Frosty Friends.

First, I stamped the Country Gingham Background in «Fog» dye ink onto a piece of «Fog» cardstock (both by Simon Says Stamp). I adhered the panel with fun foam to a top folding card base made from the same cardstock.

For my snowy background, I blended together the two Distress Oxide Inks «Shaded Lilac» and «Tumbled Glass» on some Bristol cardstock. I splattered on white paint to mimic falling snow, let it dry completely and cut it with a circle die. I also added a snow hill cut from white glitter paper.

Next, I colored the adorable snowman and birdie from the Pig Day set with Copics and added details with Prismacolor pencils. I stamped the speech bubble in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and cut out the images with their companion dies.

To complete my winter scene, I cut the Halloween Tree Die from plain white cardstock and adhered it with foam tape as well as the images. I finished off this card by adding Nuvo «White Blizzard» Glitter Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Will be back soon with a 2nd card ;-)

Hello Bluebird • Autumn Leaves Thank You

23.09.2018

Happy Sunday,

Fall officially starts today and I have the matching card for you. I used the leaves dies which are included in the Gallery Frame Die #3 set.

I had a left-over piece on my desk from when I played with Nuvo Shimmer Powders lately. I thought the colors (a mix of «Catherine Wheel» and «Cherry Bomb») would be perfect for some beautiful autumn leaves. The sentiment from the Fall Friends set was heat embossed with WOW! Gold embossing powder.

To get the look of floating/falling leaves, I randomly adhered them with foam tape across the panel which I had splattered with Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine in advance. I finished off the card by applying Nuvo «Gold Coast» Glitter Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Hello Bluebird • Holiday Flurries • Merry Christmas

19.09.2018

Hello everyone,

although it's still summery in my area, I created this year's very first Christmas card using the gorgeous Hello Bluebird Holiday Flurries stamp set.

First, I stamped the large sentiment in the middle of a Distress Watercolor Cardstock panel and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed several snowflakes to frame the sentiment.

Now we come to the fun part – taking advantage of the embossing which will resist the color you put on top – I sprinkled on Nuvo Shimmer Powder in the pretty color «Blue Blitz». I heavily spritzed my panel with water to get the pigments moving. Finally, I embellished the card with «Ice Cube Mix» Jewels by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

MFT 2018 Card Design Superstar Contest

17.09.2018

Hi peeps,

live has been busy, but I'm glad I managed to create a card for the amazing 2018 Card Design Superstar Contest hosted by My Favorite Things.

https://www.mftstamps.com/blog/2018-card-design-superstar/

I'm entering the Clean & Simple Genius Category with this pastel Birthday card using the cute elephant from the Safari Friends set and the Basic Shapes – Triangles stencil.

I picked three MFT Premium Dye Inks (Bubblegum, Summer Splash, Grout Gray) and sponged them through the different sized triangles to build my geometric background. I cut the panel with the largest A2 Stitched Regtangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

I heat embossed the sentiment with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder and popped up the elephant with foam tape. To finish off my card, I adhered three Tiny Hearts Shape Sprinkles by Doodlebug.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed ;-)

Hello Bluebird • Halloween Party • Trick or Treat

15.09.2018

Hello again,

I want to show you a new Halloween card that I created with the cute Hello Bluebird Halloween Party stamps.

First, I masked off about 2 inch and did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn). I added water droplets to lift the color.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with my Copics (the cloud is from the Fall Friends stamp set). I used the companion dies to cut them out. I vertically stamped the sentiment from the Spooky Script set in black.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Bluebird • Fall Friends • Thanks For Everything

04.09.2018

Hello everyone,

today I'm back with another card using the adorable Fall Friends set from the Hello Bluebird August Release.

This time, I did some coloring with my new Altenew Watercolors. They are awesome and I love their vibrancy! I white heat embossed the fabulous Blowing Leaves Background on Kraft cardstock. Next, I die cut the stitched frame (Gallery Frame Die #1 set) from Aqua cardstock and adhered it to my embossed background.

The word die «thanks» is from the Gallery Frame Die #2 set and I stacked three layers (one in orange, two in black) on top of each other. I slightly shifted the orange die-cut to create a shadow. The images and panel were adhered with foam tape. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and added some enamel dots to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers Happy Wedding

24.08.2018

Happy Friday everyone,

hubby needed a wedding card for a co-worker and I was glad to finally get to play with the amazing Simon Says Stamp «Beautiful Flowers» stamp set.

This gorgeous floral cluster is huge and I stamped it in VersaMark on «Petal Pink» cardstock by Stampin' Up! and heat embossed it in white. For the first time, I tried some coloring with Polychromos pencils (I only own 3 so far). I wanted to keep it soft and monochrome, so I only added shadows and minimal highlights.

The scripty sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set by Altenew and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I matted the panel onto SU «Gray Granite» cardstock and used the same light pink cardstock for my card base. To embellish the card, I adhered «Ice Cube Jewels» by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • August Release • Showcase

16.08.2018

Hi peeps,

the Hello Bluebird August Release is NOW available :-) There are so many amazing products – you have to check it out!

Today I have two cards for you. The first one is again for Halloween and features the new Ghostly Greetings set and the Halloween Tree Die.

For the very first time, I played with Nuvo Shimmer Powders to create my background. The «Violet Brocade» powder is just amazing! Next, I colored the adorable ghosts with Copics and cut them out with the Ghostly Greetings companion dies. I also die cut the tree and grass border (Grassy Knoll Die) from MFT «Steel Grey» cardstock and the cat and star from black glitter paper. The frame which I cut from black cardstock is from the previously released Gallery Frame Die #1. To finish off the card, I added «Pale Periwinkle» Nuvo Jewel Drops.

On the second card, I used the Autumn Gatherings stamps and the Birch Trees Die to create a cozy Fall scene.

I colored these cute woodland critters with Copics and cut them out with the Autumn Gatherings companion dies. The birch trees and card base were cut from MFT «Primitive White» cardstock which is offwhite and has tiny speckles. It goes so well with the woodgrain panel. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black cardstock rectangle and finally added two hearts and some enamel dots as embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • August Release • Preview

11.08.2018

Hello everyone,

the Hello Bluebird August Release is just around the corner. Get ready for some fun new Fall and Halloween products which will be available on Wednesday, August 15th. The DT previews start today and I made two Halloween cards.

My first card features the Spooky Script stamp set and the Spooky Scene Die.

First, I die cut the moon from a piece of masking paper. I blended the Distress Oxide Inks (Broken China, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot) over the mask an tried to achieve a glow around the moon. Next, I die cut all the pieces for my scene. For the trees, I even used black glitter cardstock. It is so much fun to assemble all the pieces to create this spooky night scene. I stamped the sentiment, pumpkin and bats with VersaFine «Onyx Black» and finished off this card by adding white star die cuts.

On my second card, I used the quirky Trick or Treat set and the pinked frame from the new Gallery Frame Die #3.

I colored the Halloween creatures with Copics and created and ink blended background with Distress Oxides (Carved Pumpkin, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch). The grey frame (cut using the Gallery Frame Die #1) happens to perfectly fit into the pinked frame. Love how you can mix and match these die sets! I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Spooky Script set. The card was complete by adhering a strip of patterned paper and two black stars.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

These supplies are just perfect to create a scene. First, I die cut the two frames - the scalloped one from brown cardstock and the other from light brown woodgrain cardstock. Next, I did some ink smooshing and blending with Distress Oxide Inks to create the water and bushes which I cut with one of the Pond Builder dies. I also ink blended the sky directly onto my card base.

I colored the stamped images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I assembled my card, inlaid the die cuts and popped up some of the images with foam tape. Finally, I added some water bubbles with clear «Morning Dew» Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Weekend!

First, I did some gradient blending with yellow inks. Next, I colored the bee and flowers with Copics and cut them out with the Bee Happy companion dies. I stamped the stitched trail in black and popped up the bee with foam tape. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • July Release • Otter Friends

Hi peeps,

have you shopped the newest Hello Bluebird July Release yet? Today, I would like to introduce you to another sweet set called Otter Friends. I created a little pond scene and let the adorable otters play with fish.

For the background, I did some watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks. Next, I used the Avery Elle «Oval Burst» die to cut a window from white cardstock. I colored the images with Copics and Prismacolor pencils and used the Otter Friends companion dies to cut them out. This set also includes wave dies so you could tuck something in like I did with the otter.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it onto the card. Then I arranged the cattails around the oval window and finished off my card with Pretty Pink Posh «Sea Glass» crystals.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Will see you later with a second card.

I white heat embossed it on vellum and carefully fussy cut it out. I finished off my card with Platinum sequin stars by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.
