Hi peeps,
it's been pretty hot over the last couple of days, so here is a little refreshment ;-) Made this masculine birthday card by combining products from several companies.
I've colored the whale from the Paper Smooches «Surf and Turf» with Copics and fussy cut him out. Next, I created an ink blended background using «Tumbled Glass» Distress Ink. I added some water spatters to lift the color here and there. The «Happy Birthday!» sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp «Circle Sayings» set and I stamped it in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.
I die cut two Lawn Fawn «Ocean Wave Borders» from patterned paper by My Favorite Things. To add some stitched details, I used the MFT «Wonky Stitched Rectangle» Die-namics. The word «celebrate» was cut from navy cardstock with a gorgeous scripty Avery Elle «Sentiments» die.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay cool!
Anja

Hello everyone,
today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch Blog and it's all about Men/Boys.
This challenge will run until June 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).
It's always challenging to create those masculine cards, so I decided to play with the fabulous new Distress Oxide Inks and the «Emboss Resist Technique» for my dad's Father's Day card.
At first, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp «Lattice Grid» background on a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I applied several layers of the Distress Oxide Inks «Broken China» and «Cracked Pistachio» – these two colors go so well together!
For my sentiment, I combined the layered SSS «Love» die (cut from navy and white cardstock) with a text from the «More Sketchy Banner Greetings» stamp set that I white heat embossed on vellum. I assembled my card, added a thin strip of navy cardstock and rounded the corners with a punch.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start into the new week!

Hi everyone,
TGIF! And that also means that we have a new theme over at the Stempelgarten Challenge – it's an easy one – «Animal Kingdom/Wildlife».
You just can't go wrong with some adorable My Favorite Things critters. These cuties are from the «Friends Furever» stamp set and I colored them with Copics.
For the fading background, I masked off the bottom of my die-cut square and did some light-handed Ink Blending with MFT Premium Dye Inks («Insulation Pink» and «Lemon Chiffon»). I stamped the sentiment from the same set with VersaFine «Onyx Black» ink. The patterned paper is from the «Dots & Stripes Neutral» 6x6 paper pack. I fussy cut my three animal friends and popped them up with foam tape. To finish my card, I added two little die-cut hearts.
You will have time until May 31st, 2017 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:
A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
