DT Make it Crafty CAS Inspiration | Poppies

30.10.2015

Hi again,

if you're looking for my Skipping Stones Stamp & Share Challenge #3 post, please click here or just scroll down.

I have another Make it Crafty Clean & Simple inspiration card for you using one of the beautiful images from the Blooming Flowers collection. I colored the gorgeous Poppies Digi Stamp with my Copics.

I love poppies and the silky look of their petals which I tried to achieve with my coloring. To keep my card design really simple I only added the sentiment, a strip of patterned paper and some matching pearls.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope to see you on Sunday with an exciting announcement ;-)

DT Skipping Stones Design | Stamp & Share Challenge #3

Hello everyone,

welcome to the third Skipping Stones Stamp & Share Challenge.

This time we have a sketch and inspiration photo for you. Feel free to use both for your creation or just one of them.

I combined the sketch and the inspiration photo to create my Thank You card.

I decided to use some of my hoarded patterned papers to follow the sketch. They are from the Kaiserkraft paper pads «Elegance» and «75 Cent». I also added a piece of vellum to tone down the busy flower pattern. I stamped the sentiment from the Heartsong stamp set in Versafine «Onyx Black» and clear heat embossed it to match the black glossy DP in the background. The butterfly is from the Garden Stamp Kiss set and I heat embossed it in gold and then fussy cut it out. To finish my card I added a couple of enamel dots.

For the challenge details and the cards of my team mates please hop over to the Skipping Stones Design Blog. And don't forget – a free SSD stamp set will be given away to one random entry!

This is my final post as a Skipping Stones DT member. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it, Heather and thanks for all your efforts and the constant support, Teresa ♥ Have a great time and good luck everyone!

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you later today with another card!

Congrats on your Wedding

24.10.2015

Hi crafty peeps,

although the typical wedding season is already over I wanted to show you a cute Wedding card I made back in summer.

Therefore I combined several products from 6 different manufacturers ;-)

The birdies are some older Magnolia stamps and I colored them with Copics. Then I fussy cut both and embellished them with a crown and a hat from the Mama Elephant «Honey Bunny» stamp set. The large «congrats» sentiment («The Big, the Bold and You») and also the banner with the text inside («The Big, the Bold and Extras») are from Winnie & Walter. I heat embossed the sentiments in Gold and White.

For the background I used patterned paper from Stampin' Up! and then I did some Die-Cutting to finish my little scene. The cloudy border was made with one of the Mama Elephant «Landscape Trio» dies and I layered two die-cuts to create a bit of dimension. For the cloud in the left upper corner I used a Lawn Fawn («Spring Showers») die. The stitched rectangle die which frames the scene is also by Mama Elephant («Femme Frames»).

I decorated my card with Pretty Pink Posh «Sparkling Clear» sequins, tiny red die-cut hearts (ME «Confetti» die) covered with Glossy Accents and a small paper flower (SU punch and pearl).

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a nice weekend!

DT Skipping Stones Design | Snowflake Christmas Baubles

22.10.2015

Hi everyone,

today I'm over at the Skipping Stones Design Blog to share with you another Christmas card. I used the delicate snowflakes from the Christmas Labels and Merry and Bright stamp sets.

I stamped the snowflakes with VersaMark on Simon Says Stamp cardstock in non-traditional Christmas colors (Audrey Blue, Cotton and Mint). Then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder from Hero Arts. To create my baubles/ornaments I used my SSS «Stitched Circle» dies. Since these dies also have the stitching detail on the outside of the cut line I decided to do some Inlaid Die-Cutting. The grey cardstock (Fog) is also by Simon Says Stamp.

When everything was put in place I stamped some strings and the Merry Christmas sentiment and heat embossed them in Liquid Platinum from Ranger. To embellish my card I adhered sparkly rhinestones.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

DT Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #6 | Jenny Cheers

16.10.2015

Hi everyone,

today I want to show you the card I've made for the Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #6 with the theme «Bright Colors».

I created a girly card with the cute Jenny Cheers Digi Stamp which I colored in with my Copics. I also added some hair strands/details with brown Prismacolor Pencils because a couple of my darker Copic markers are clogged :-( and some areas of the image are pretty small.

The light blue shadow around the image was made with Chalk which I haven't used for ages. I stamped my birthday sentiment from Papertrey Ink  with Versafine «Onyx Black» for a nice and crisp impression.

To cut out the panel I used my favorite «Stitched Rectangle» die from Simon Says Stamp. The card base was made of SSS «Doll Pink» cardstock.

You still have time to enter our «Bright Colors» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge October

15.10.2015

Hi peeps,

it's time again for the bastel-traum.ch Challenge and the new theme is «Autumn/Fall».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
The challenge will run until November 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I really love to create fall-themed projects, so I made a colorful Birthday card and picked yellow, orange and pink tones for my background.

I did some random Ink Smooshing with Distress Inks («Mustard Seed», «Spiced Marmalade», «Ripe Persimmon» and «Picked Raspberry»). Then I stamped the leaves from the Winnie & Walter «A Tree For All Seasons» stamp set in VersaMark onto vellum and white heat embossed them. The birthday sentiment from the same set was heat embossed in gold. Finally, I added some matching My Mind's Eye enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

DT Skipping Stones Design | Tip/Technique Hop #2

10.10.2015

Hi crafty friends,

welcome to our second Skipping Stones Design Tip/Technique Hop. Today each DT member will share a technique, tip or suggestion for creating or organizing. You should have arrived from the Skipping Stones Design Blog. We hope you'll find lots of inspiration while hopping along (see the complete link list at the bottom of this post). For your chance to be a random winner of a Skipping Stones Design stamp set simply leave a comment at each stop of the hop.

With my card I'm showing you how easy and quick you can create a background with the help of a stencil. And I also turned a solid stamp image into a metallic embellishment.

At first I sponged two turquoise tones of Dye Inks («Sea Glass» and «Mali Blue» from Simon Says Stamp) through the Tim Holtz «Doily» Stencil and created a light gradient. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Heartsong 2 stamp set in VersaMark and heat embossed it in silver.

I also heat embossed the silhouette bird from the Garden Stamp Kiss set with the same silver embossing powder. But this time I repeated the heat embossing two times to get a more raised image. Then I fussy cut my little birdie and adhered it with small 3D foam pads. To finish my card I added some rhinestones.

If you get lost along the way here is the line-up of all the hop participants:

DT Stempelgarten Challenge October

05.10.2015

Hi everyone,

we have a new theme for the Stempelgarten Challenge – this month it's all about «Dies».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I created a Baby card for a sweet little boy using dies from Impression Obsession (Stork), My Favorite Things (Cross-Stitched Rectangle) and Simon Says Stamp (Baby).

The patterned paper in this beautiful turquoise color is from Bazzill Basics Paper. I die-cut the word «baby» from silver foil cardstock and heat embossed the little stamped «hello» (also from SSS). I added silver star sequins and a tiny die-cut star around the sentiment.

This challenge will run until October 31st, 2015 and you can win a voucher with a value of CHF 20.– for the Stempelgarten Online Shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
