Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Feeling Froggy

25.02.2021

Hello everyone,

today I'm featuring the Feeling Froggy mini stamp set and I decided to create a masculine CAS card. I combined the frog and dragonfly with the cattails and water lily from the Country Scenes set.

I started off with a topfolding A2 card base and trimmed a white cardstock panel to the same size. I cut out a window using the second largest of the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies. To add some texture, I debossed the panel using the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder.

Instead of my usual Distress Oxide ink blending, I tried something different for the background. I cut green, aqua and blue cardstock strips to the same width and adhered them behind the window. It's a great way to use up some scraps and it still matches my pond scene. I popped up the debossed panel with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto a white fishtail banner. Finally, I adhered everything with liquid glue and foam squares.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • My Otter Half

18.02.2021

Hi everyone,

today I'm back with another love-themed card featuring the cute My Otter Half Stamps. I love how they are holding paws!

First, I created a square card base measuring 5.5" x 5.5". I also trimmed a white cardstock panel to the same size and created a window by cutting out the largest of the Stitched Heart Dies.

For my little scene, I stamped the pond and the water lily from the Country Scenes set. I also used the slightly curved line from the Winter Scenes set to separate the grass from the sky background. I did some masking and ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks to create the water (Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire), grass (Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness) and purple sky (Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord).

I colored the otters, water lily, cattails and pond border (all images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink) with Copic Markers. The solid heart trio is included in the Meow & Furever set and I stamped it with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I combined one of the Banner Basics with a punny sentiment and the 'otter' word die that comes with the coordinating My Otter Half Dies. I die cut it from purple glitter cardstock. Finally, I assembled the scene using liquid glue and adhered the heart window panel as well as the sentiment banner with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Meow & Furever

11.02.2021

Hello everyone,

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the adorable Meow & Furever Stamps are perfect to create a lovely card for your sweetheart.

I started off with an A2 landscape card base and cut the stitched frame from the Comic Strip Speech Bubble Die set out of aqua cardstock. I did it twice and layered the two frames on top of each other for more sturdiness.

For the background, I did some faded ink blending using the Distress Oxide Inks Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar. I added lots of tiny Barn Door ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I stamped the kitty images and hearts in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I also picked some small images from three other stamp sets (you can find all the used products below). I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

The sentiments were stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a dark grey cardstock strips and I heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Finally, I assembled my card by adhering everything with liquid glue.

Stamps and dies used:
Cats and hearts – Meow & Furever Stamps and Meow & Furever Dies
Cupcake – Party Pups Stamps and Party Pups Dies
Flower Bouquet – Love Monkey Stamps and Love Monkey Dies
Love Letter – Snail Mail Stamps and Snail Mail Dies

Thank you so much for stopping by! Big hugs!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Captivating Camellias

04.02.2021

Hi everyone,

today's card features the Captivating Camellias layering stamps and I was inspired by the 2021 Pantone Colors of the Year – a beautiful combo of grey and yellow.

First, I created a more narrow card base out of grey cardstock which measures 4.125" x 6.25". I trimmed a white cardstock panel to be slightly smaller and adhered it to the card base. Next, I used one of the Slimline Pennants Dies and cut it from polka dot paper included in the Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper pack.

I stamped all the layers of the camellias and leaves with dye inks (you can find the ink colors below) and the help of a stamp positioning tool. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and build a cluster which I adhered onto the banner. For a little dimension, I adhered the large flower with foam tape.

For the sentiment, I die cut the scripty word 'hello' from the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies set out of silver glitter cardstock. I also stamped the word 'friend' (Foxy Christmas Stamps) in VersaMark Ink onto a small grey cardstock strip and heat embossed it in white. I finished off the card by adding three yellow glitter enamel dots.

Dye Inks used
Camellias: Altenew Buttercream, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine, Sunkissed
Leaves: Simon Says Stamp Fog, MFT Cement Gray, Simon Says Stamp Smoke

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
