MFT Stamps • December Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

19.12.2022

Happy Monday everyone,

today we're introducing the amazing Crafty Hands Card Kit. It's jam-packed with creative dies and stamps every crafter needs! The new products will be available tomorrow at 10 am EST.

The price for this collection of coordinated products is more than 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

Creating and sending out cards is such a joy! For my first card I combined dies from 5 of the 6 new Die-namics sets.

I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down the striped paper from the Finishes and Textiles Paper Pad to be a bit smaller. The Crafty Hands were die cut from white cardstock and I colored them with Copic markers.

Next, I die cut all the bits and pieces from cardstock and a piece of Poppin' Polka Dots Paper to create the envelope, card, postage stamp, pen and glasses. The pink hearts were cut from a left-over alcohol ink background.

I adore the Mini Messages & More stamp set that comes with a wonderful mix of favorite MFT stamps in a miniature version. I picked the 'miss you' sentiment and stamped it onto the front of the mini card. The tiny text on the pen is from the same stamp set.

The other sentiment is from the Crafty Friends stamp set which is the Free with $60 Gift option. I stamped it in black onto a white cardstock strip and used a fishtail banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set to cut it out.

I assembled the card by spreading the die-cuts across the card and adhering them with liquid glue.

MFT Stamps • December Release Day

13.12.2022

Hello friends,

the My Favorite Things December Release is now available for purchase! Due to a delivery delay I couldn't take part in the Release Countdown but I managed to make a card for today. Check out the MFT Blog to see what the Design Team created with the new products.

For my card, I picked the sweet I'll Always Chews You stamp set illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller.

I started off with a white card base that is slightly larger than the regular A2 size. Next, I stamped the beautiful Little Leaves Background in VersaMark Ink onto a watercolor cardstock panel and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then spritzed it with water and Distress Mica Stain Sprays in the colors Fresh Balsam and Wicked Elixier. When the panel was completely dry, I die cut it with the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and adhered it to the card base.

I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. To make the image stand out from the busy leafy background, I die cut a circle from vellum to go behind it. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a Kraft Card Stock rectangle and I heat embossed it in white. To keep the design flat, I adhered everything with liquid glue.

GD Sunny Studio Stamps • Penguin Party

10.12.2022

Hi everyone,

So glad to be back again as a guest designer over on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm featuring the adorable Penguin Party Stamps.

On my first Christmas card, I used a couple of dies with stitching details and patterned papers from the Joyful Holiday Paper pack. I just love this happy color combo!

I started off with a white card base that is slightly larger than the standard A2 size. I cut out the patterned papers with the stitched rectangle die that is part of the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. For the three openings I used the Window Trio Square Die. I did some ink blending in the background with Distress Oxides (Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo). I trimmed the patterned papers, adhered them to the card base and added a pink cardstock strip on top where the papers meet.

Next, I stamped the penguins in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies and put each cutie inside a window opening.

To create a custom greeting I combined sentiments from the Santa Claus Lane and Merry Mice sets. I stamped them in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of green cardstock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and used the banner die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies set to cut it out. Finally, I adhered the banner onto the center of the pink cardstock strip.

On my second inspiration card I created a winter scene with a purple night sky. This design would work for a winter birthday card as well, right?

First, I cut and scored an A2 sized card base from white cardstock. For the purple background, I blended the Distress Oxide Inks Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion onto a lavender cardstock panel. I let it dry and added white paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut two snow hills from white cardstock using one of the Slimline Nature Borders Dies. I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the edges and layered the die cuts on top of each other covering the bottom half of the card.

In addition to the penguins and accessories, I stamped the fir tree, igloo and ice block from the Winter Scenes set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images with Copics again and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

The sentiment from the Inside Greetings Holiday set was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a dark teal cardstock rectangle and heat embossed in white. I adhered the images and sentiment to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 622

30.11.2022

Hello peeps,

I can't get enough of the Christmas Cash Kit and had to play with it again for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I also used some of the coffee themed add-ons. I just love the versatility of these products – there's no better way to gift some cash creatively.

First, I started off by cutting the Money Card Die-namics from Cream Chantilly Card Stock. I stamped the coffee stain image three times in Kraft Premium Dye Ink along the edges and added some ink splatters. The sentiment is from the Coffee Break set and I stamped it with Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I die cut the opening for the pouch and put the rolled money inside. I temporarily adhered another piece of cream cardstock on the back to make it easy for the recipient to take out the money.

The cup and saucer are part of the Coffee Break Companions Die-namics set and I cut it from Red Hot Card Stock. To step it up a bit, I applied Game Over Lunar Paste for some extra shine. I then cut the steam lines directly into the cream card base before adhering the die-cuts.

Although the money amount is well visible through the pouch, I added a little price sticker to the top left repeating the colors of the card (Kraft, Cornflower and Cream Chantilly).

Here is a look at sketch #622:

MFT Stamps • November Card Kit Release Day

29.11.2022

Hi everyone,

the brilliant Christmas Cash Kit as well as an assortment of fantastic add-ons are now available for purchase.

For today's project I went with a CAS gift card holder that would be perfect for a birthday girl. Who wouldn't love to get a shopping spree to your favorite store?!

The color scheme was inspired by the lavender gift card, so the main color of my choice was Grapesicle. I combined the Money Card Die-namics with the Gift Card Pocket Die-namics. I had to do some partial die-cutting to create a wider slit to fit the gift card inside but it worked fine. I stamped one of the big Birthday Cash sentiments onto the stitched pocket with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink.

For the trio of shopping bags I used the Birthday Basics Die-namics and cut them from Poppin' Polka Dots 6x6 Paper. The bag handles were cut from matching colored cardstock (Cornflower, Boysenberry and Cotton Candy). I adhered the bags above the gift card. To finish off my project, I die cut the small heart and crown from white cardstock and sticked them to the purple bag and the gift card.

Here you can see the Christmas Cash Kit again:

MFT Stamps • November Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

28.11.2022

Happy Monday everyone,

the Christmas Cash Kit is so much fun to play with and today we're showing you the incredible add-ons which you can all year round. They will be available tomorrow at 10 am EST as well.

I decided to create a little coin holder card using the versatile Money Card Die-namics again. But this time, I folded the card in half and decorated it with the Tooth Fairy Die-namics and the Tooth Fairy Wishes stamp set.

I started off by die cutting the money card base from a piece of Joyful Plaid patterned paper. I also cut it a second time from white cardstock for the inside. To make folding the plaid paper easier, I cut apart the white card in half and adhered them to the back/inside. Since I planned to close the card with a ribbon, I needed to die cut a hole at the top and bottom.

Next, I die cut all the pieces for the sweet tooth that will be the focal point on the front. The crown was cut from gold glitter cardstock and the wings were done in vellum. I added some soft coloring/shading with Copic markers.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto a Sno Cone Card Stock strip and used one of the Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics to cut it out. I adhered the tooth with liquid glue and popped up the sentiment strip and star with foam tape.

Now onto the inside: I created a small pocket to insert the coin using the stitched half circle die included in the Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics set. I cut it from the same plaid paper and adhered it with foam strips. I stamped another of the simple sentiments below it.

How perfect is the large sentiment which I stamped in blue onto the bottom half?! To finish off my little project, I pulled a piece of ribbon through the holes and tied a bow with white string.

MFT Stamps • November Card Kit • Countdown Day 2

27.11.2022

Hello friends,

today we're introducing this month's amazing Christmas Cash Kit that will be available on Tuesday, November 29th at 10 am EST.

It's jam-packed with a great mix of unique products to present some cash or gift cards in a creative way. The possibilities to personalize them are endless!

I made this fun project using the Money Card Die-namics, the Christmas Cash and Price Tag stamps as well as one of the included pouches to house the money.

First, I cut the A2-sized rounded rectangle die from white cardstock and patterned paper from the Colorful Christmas Paper Pad. Onto a strip of Blue Beyond Card Stock I stamped one of the smaller sentiments in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it in white. I used a die (that matches the rounded corners of the card base perfectly) to cut it out and adhered it to the top.

Next, I stamped the large 'Naughty or Nice' sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto a white cardstock panel. I also added the check mark to the second square. I trimmed the panel and used one of the Torn Paper Edges Die-namics at the bottom.

I rolled the money and carefully put it inside the pouch which I adhered with double-sided adhesive tape. For a more finished look, I added a frame around it. I love that you have all the dies in the Money Card Die-namics set included to easily dress up your project. The amount was stamped onto a Sour Apple Card Stock circle which I adhered on top of a Field Day Card Stock sunburst circle.

Of course, there had to be a santa on my card, too. I used a cute YUZU Holly Jolly Santa image which I colored with Copics. I cut it out with the matching die and popped it up with thin foam squares. Finally, I added a blue die cut star to balance out the design.

Here's a peek at the November Card Kit:

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 621

23.11.2022

Hi peeps,

there's a new sketch over at the MFT Blog for our weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I created a CAS friendship card using an adorable image from the Anywhere with You stamp set.

I started off with a white A2 card base and a white cardstock panel cut to the same size. To achieve the look of a warm sunset sky, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (Worn Lipstick, Saltwater Taffy and Tattered Rose). For a bit of interest, I added ink and white paint splatters with a small brush.

Next, I used one of the Mini Slimline Outside the Box Clouds Die-namics and partial die cutting to create the cloud border panel from white cardstock.

I stamped the image in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored it with Copics. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and adhered it with thin foam squares.

The sentiment from the YUZU Hoodie Weather set was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Cornflower Card Stock.
I heat embossed it in white and used a banner die included in the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set.

MFT Stamps • November Release Day

08.11.2022

Hello friends,

the My Favorite Things November Release is now available for purchase! Check out the MFT Blog to see another round of DT inspiration.

For today's card, I used the gorgeous Snowflake Flurry Background cling stamp again – I just love it! I combined it with the Coolest Friends stamps and the Stackable Snowflakes Die-namics.

First, I created an A2 card base from white cardstock and stamped the background in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Sno Cone Card Stock. I heat embossed it with Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder and trimmed the panel down to be a bit smaller (about 1/8" at each side) than A2.

Next, I stamped the adorable image of the penguin and snowman. I added the sentiment inside the sign they are holding and colored everything with Copics. To cut out the image, I used the coordinating die.

I die cut two of the snowflakes from white cardstock and adhered them to the center of the card. Finally, I popped up the colored image with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • November Release Countdown Day 1

07.11.2022

Happy new week everyone,

the My Favorite Things November Release Countdown wraps up today. We are happy to reveal the remaining products of this fun release which will be available tomorrow.

I made a winter themed birthday card with the cute critters from the Freezin' Season stamp set.

First, I created a snowy winter night sky by blending together Black Soot Distress Ink, Something Blue and Lazy Day Premium Dye Ink. I sprinkled on some water droplets to lift the color in a couple of spots. After dabbing it off with a paper towel, I added white paint splatters with a brush to mimic falling snow. For the snow hill, I used the wavy die included in the On the Move Slider Channels Die-namics set and applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the edge.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies. For dimension, I popped up the images with thin foam squares.

I stamped a long sentiment from the YUZU Eat Lots of Cake stamp set across the snow hill and heat embossed a second one in white onto a black cardstock strip.

MFT Stamps • November Release Countdown Day 2

06.11.2022

Hi sweeties,

only 2 more sleeps until the My Favorite Things November Release goes live. Check out today's product reveals and fab DT inspiration over on the MFT Blog.

I created a holiday card in a traditional color combo of red, green, white and kraft. Today's card features the Coffee Mug Die-namics which I paired with the DBD Winter Greenery stamps.

I started off with a white A2 sized card base and cut out a Kraft Card Stock panel with the largest of the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. For a bit of interest, I splattered on white paint with a brush.

Next, I die cut the coffee mug twice from Red Hot Card Stock and did some shading with Amarena Cherry Premium Dye Ink. I embellished the mug with the smallest of the Stackable Snowflakes which I die cut from white cardstock. I also attached a red glitter heart on top of the snowflake's center.

I stamped the greenery and pine cones, colored them with Copic markers and cut everything out with the coordinating dies. I adhered the mug to the center of the card and arranged the greenery around it.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the SY Christmas Tree Farm set in VersaMark Ink onto a thin black cardstock strip. I heat embossed it in white and adhered the strip with thin foam squares.

MFT Stamps • November Release Countdown Day 3

05.11.2022

Hello peeps,

we are halfway through the My Favorite Things November Release Countdown. There are even more winter themed products to be explored.

Today, I'm sharing a CAS card made with the new Pure Innocence Snow Bunny stamp set and the Herringbone Stencil.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and ink blended a faded oval background with the new stencil and Distress Oxide Inks (Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers).

Next, I stamped the girl in her cute ski outfit in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and did some Copic coloring. I cut the image out with the matching die and adhered her with foam squares over the stenciled background.

I stamped part of the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto two Gravel Gray Card Stock strips and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I thought it would be fun to replace the last word of the sentiment with die cut letters. I used the MSTN Stay Cool Die-namics and cut each letter of the word 'cool' from a cardstock color that matches the image. I also die cut it from white cardstock and stacked up the letters for a bit of dimension. Finally, I adhered everything with liquid glue above the image.

MFT Stamps • November Release Countdown Day 4

04.11.2022

Hi everyone,

it's Day 2 of the My Favorite Things November Release Countdown and we've got some fun winter themed products for you today.

I created this card with the adorable Alpine Friends set. I just love the cable car gondola with the cute critters inside ready to hit the slopes.

First, I cut and scored a card base from white cardstock. I softly applied Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Ink to the center of the card front with a blending brush.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. The trio of mountains is from the Top of the Mountain stamp set. The cable was directly stamped in black onto the card front. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

I created a snow hill with the help of the Sand and Surf Die-namics and inked the top edge with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. The sentiment was stamped with teal ink in the center of the snow hill piece. Finally, I assembled the card by adhering everthing with liquid glue and thin foam squares (for the objects in the front).

MFT Stamps • November Release Countdown Day 5

03.11.2022

Hello friends,

today we are kicking off the My Favorite Things November Release Countdown. Join us in exploring all the cool stuff this month. The new products will be available on Tuesday, November 8th at 10 am EDT.

Winter is coming soon and like every year we're wishing for a white Christmas (which is pretty rare). At least, I can create it on my card ;-) I combined the Snowflake Flurry Background cling stamp with the Stackable Snowflakes Die-namics.

I started off with a white A2 top-folding card base. The beautiful background was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a Summer Splash Card Stock panel. I heat embossed it with some Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. You can't see it much on the photo but it is so pretty in real life! I trimmed it down to be a bit smaller than the card base.

Next, I die cut the large and middle snowflake from Sno Cone and white cardstock. I stacked them on top of each other using thin foam slivers for dimension.

I stamped one of the Mod & Merry sentiments in VersaMark Ink onto a Tropical Teal Card Stock strip and heat embossed it in white. The sentiment strip was popped up with foam tape below the layered snowflake.

To finish off the card, I added a shiny iridescent bauble to the center of the white snowflake.

GD Sunny Studio Stamps • Cozy Christmas

29.10.2022

Hi everyone,

I'm so happy to be back again as a guest over on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm showcasing the wonderful Cozy Christmas Stamps from the latest Holiday Release.

On my first sample, I used the stamps for a non-holiday card and created a sweet little living room scene.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and die cut the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies from light blue cardstock. In the next step, I die cut the stitched scalloped mat from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 Dies set out of white cardstock. I masked off the scallop border as well as the stitching and did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks. For the wall background, I blended on Tattered Rose and a little bit of Saltwater Taffy. The floor was done in Pumice Stone. I let it dry completely and stamped one of the Penguin Party sentiments in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with Ranger Platinum Embossing Powder. For a bit of dimension, I popped up the scalloped mat with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. On the armchair, I did some Paper Piecing with blue gingham paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack. I also created a little rug from a piece of Flirty Flowers patterned paper.

Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the images and floral rug with liquid glue and adding a red enamel heart next to the heat embossed sentiment.

The second sample had to be a holiday card and I really wanted to use the comfy sofa.

I created a landscape A2 card base from white cardstock and covered the front with a striped Joyful Holiday paper. I cut the largest of the Stitched Oval 2 Dies from white cardstock. I also used it on a piece of woodgrain patterned paper (Subtle Grey Tones Paper Pack) and a thin white cardstock strip. In  the background, I did some faded ink blending with Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Then, I adhered the woodgrain floor and white strip to the bottom half of the oval. I stamped the sentiment on top using aqua blue pigment ink.

The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers. I paper pieced the pillows and cut everything out with the coordinating dies.

I adhered the images to finish off the scene and applied some Crystal Stickles to the white parts of the christmas tree decor.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a cozy weekend!

27.10.2022

Hello friends,

today starts a new MFT Color Challenge. I invite you to join the bi-weekly challenge with a project for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT boutique.

I created this CAS holiday card using a couple of supplies from the latest October Release.

These are the colors for the Color Challenge #199:

Next, I cut the Merry Christmas Frame Die-namics two times from Sno Cone Card Stock to make it more sturdy. For the inlaid circle, I used the heart patterned paper from the Colorful Christmas Paper Pad.

My focal point is this sweet walrus from the Chill Holiday stamp set. I colored him with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut out the image. I adhered him with foam squares and popped up the tag with foam tape as well.

Hi everyone,

the brand new Home for the Holidays Card Kit is now available for purchase! The price for this fabulous collection of coordinated products is 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

For today's card, I used the same kit products again which are the Right at Home Die-namics, the Holiday Home Accents Die-namics and a Home for the Holidays sentiment.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and another white cardstock panel of the same size. I cut out a window with one of the Elegant Stitched STAX Die-namics. The background was done with Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stains (Winter Frost and Shiny Bauble) which I tried for the very first time. They are so easy to use and I love the shimmer! For the look of falling snow, I added lots of tiny paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I cut out a snow hill and inked the edge with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut the house, tree, snow, lamp post and wreath from colored cardstock (Grapesicle, Grape Jelly, Lemon Drop, Field Day, Smooth White, Cement Gray and Gravel Gray). The smoke was cut from vellum and I applied sparkly Crystal Stickles to the snow die-cuts.

For a bit of dimension, I popped up the window panel with foam tape. I assembled the die-cuts and adhered everything with liquid glue and foam squares.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a Gravel Gray Card Stock rectangle and heat embossed it in white. I sticked it to the top left of my card.

12.10.2022

Hi everyone,

I had so much fun creating with the latest My Favorite Things October Release, so I'm joining this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge using some of the new goodies.

I simply had to use the super cute YUZU Holly Jolly Santa stamps again. I also love the versatile Surprise Stitched Tag Die-namics and the gorgeous Colorful Christmas Paper Pad

This is what the sketch #615 looks like:

I started off with a white A2 card base and created a dotty background with the First Snowfall Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I die cut the stitched tag from the Merry Christmas patterned paper and adhered it with foam tape to the center of the card. I tied a white string bow to the tag and added a white stitched circle to break up the busy pattern. The santa was stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and I colored him with Copics. MFT Stamps • October Release Day

11.10.2022

Hello friends,

the festive My Favorite Things October Release is now available for purchase! Check out the MFT Blog to see what the DT created for today.

On my card, I combined a couple of the new dies and patterned papers. I used the sweet Snow Buddy Die-namics, Surprise Stitched Tag Die-namics and this month's Free with $60 option, the Stocking Trio Die-namics.

First, I cut one of the Christmas Text papers with an A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 die and adhered it to a white card base. The two sizes of stitched tags were cut from Cool Christmas Greetings papers. I die cut the hole reinforcers from colored cardstock and tied a natural string bow to the large tag. To create a bit of dynamic, I adhered the tags at an angle, overlapping each other.

Next, I die cut the snowman and stockings from colored cardstock and assembled everything. I attached the snowman to the smaller tag and hung the stockings onto his twig arms.

I stamped one of the Mod & Merry sentiments onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered it on top of the large tag which finished off the card.

MFT Stamps • October Release Countdown Day 2

09.10.2022

Hi peeps,

only 2 more sleeps until the My Favorite Things October Release goes live. Check out today's reveals and DT inspiration over on the MFT Blog.

I created a fun Christmas card with the cute YUZU Holly Jolly Santa stamps. To complete my scene, I also used the Window Seat Die-namics and patterned papers from the Floor to Ceiling Paper Pad.

First, I trimmed down the wallpaper and floor patterned papers and adhered them to a white A2 landscape card base. I die cut the window and sill from white cardstock and one of the pillows from polka dot paper. For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks (Speckled Egg and Uncharted Mariner) onto a piece of Sno Cone Card Stock. I splattered on white paint with a brush to create the look of falling snow.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. I did some masking to insert the santa image inside the chimney. I used the coordinating dies to cut out those images. To fill the scene, I added a couple of older Birdie Brown images as well (milk and cookies: BB Secret Santa, gifts: BB Beast Friends).

The sentiment was stamped onto an Amarena Cherry Card Stock rectangle with VersaMark Ink and I heat embossed it in white. Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the images and sentiment with foam squares.

I invite you to visit the MFT YouTube channel for even more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a cozy Sunday!
