MFT Stamps • February Ready, Set, Christmas! Challenge

23.02.2023

Hello friends,

there's a new monthly challenge over on the MFT Blog. Ready, Set, Christmas! will help you get your holidays cards done way ahead of time.

So I'm happy to already have created my first Christmas card of the year using one of the Birdie Brown Holiday Penguins.

I paired this cutie with some patterned papers from the MSTN Colorful Christmas Paper Pad. First, I cut and scored a card base from Blue Beyond Card Stock. I trimmed down the text paper and adhered it to the card base. The snowflake paper was cut with an A2 Stitched Circle STAX die to create a little backdrop for the penguin.

Next, I stamped the image, colored it with Copics and fussy cut it out. For a bit of dimension, I adhered the penguin with thin foam squares.

Now I invite you to join the challenge with any new holiday-themed project for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an incredible day!

MFT Stamps • February Card Kit Release

21.02.2023

Hi peeps,

wash your worries away with the brand new Serenity Now Card Kit and add-ons that are now available for purchase.

I created another bathroom scene using the Bathroom Basics Die-namics and the versatile Grid Stencil. We actually have blue furniture in our bathroom, but it will be remodelled and renovated soon, so I wanted to capture it on today's card.

I started off with a white A2 card panel, masked off 1 inch at the bottom and applied Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil. I let the ink fade towards the top and sides of the panel and stamped one of the Time to Unwind sentiments onto the top left corner.

Next, I die cut all the bits and pieces from white and colored cardstock (Lazy Day, Blue Beyond, Something Blue and Gravel Gray). I added some light blue Copic shading to the white die-cuts. The accessories are from the Dry Bar Die-namics and Bathroom Essentials Die-namics set. I die cut the rug (included in the Bubble Bath Die-namics) set from chevron patterned paper and inked the edge.

Finally, I attached the stenciled panel to a white card base and adhered all the die-cuts with liquid glue.

Here's the February Card Kit again (don't forget to have a look at the add-ons as well):

MFT Stamps • February Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

20.02.2023

Hello everyone,

it's another day of previews for the Serenity Now Card Kit and fun add-ons that will be available tomorrow.

The price for this collection of coordinated products is more than 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

Today's card is dedicated to self care – I think everyone needs some time off now and then. What better than to treat yourself to a relaxing massage?!

First, I created an A2 card base from white cardstock and trimmed down another panel to the exact same size. I masked off about two thirds of the top and blended on Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink in circular motions.

Next, I die cut all the pieces from the Massage Envy Die-namics set (cardstock colors: Grapesicle, Grape Jelly, Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Field Day, Kraft, Cement Gray and Gravel Gray). The side table is part of the Bubble Bath Die-namics set and I again used a sentiment from the Time to Unwind stamp set. For the picture, I stamped the organic shapes from the Petite Prints set in matching Premium Dye Ink colors and heat embossed one of the outlines in Silver.

I adhered all the die cuts with liquid glue and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

MFT Stamps • February Card Kit • Countdown Day 2

19.02.2023

Happy Sunday friends,

today we're introducing this month's amazing Serenity Now Card Kit that will be available on Tuesday, February 21st at 10 am EST.

This kit is spa and bathroom-themed and comes with everything you need to create beautiful scenes.

My first card features the Bubble Bath Die-namics, Dry Bar Die-namics and the Time to Unwind stamps.

I had so much fun creating this tranquil bathroom scene where I incorporated some of my favorite Floor to Ceiling Papers in the background. I die cut everything from white and colored cardstock choosing aqua (Sno Cone, Summer Splash) and blue (Something Blue) tones as well as some neutrals (Kraft, Cement Gray, Black Licorice) and a pop of yellow (Lemon Drop). The plants were cut from Jalapeño Popper Card Stock.

To some of the die cuts I added some ink or Copic shading. Onto the blue rug and towel I stamped the Touch of Texture Background and I heat embossed the bubbles with a bit of iridescent glitter.

Finally, I assembled the card and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black at the top.

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 633

15.02.2023

Hello everyone,

today starts a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at the MFT Blog. Join the challenge with your project following the sketch for a chance to win a fabulous $50 Gift Voucher.

I made a card with the Birdie Brown Recipe for Happiness stamp set that I had in my stash for ages – I still adore it!

I started off with a card base made from Gravel Gray Card Stock. For the plaid background, I trimmed down one of the MSTN Black & White Plaid Papers. Of course I had to use the cool Notebook Paper and the Notebook Edge Die-namics at the top. I adhered it at an angle and cut off the excess.

I stamped one of the cute chefs in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored him with Copic markers. Next, I cut out the image with the coordinating die and white heat embossed the sentiment onto a Red Hot Card Stock strip. I used a fishtail banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set to cut it out. I thought it was fun to place the chef on top of the banner. To finish off the card, I added a small red heart.

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 632

08.02.2023

Hi everyone,

welcome to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge taking place over at the MFT Blog. Join the challenge with a new project following the sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher.

I created this Clean and Simple card with a sweet image from the This Hug's for You stamp set.

I started off with a standard A2 sized card base made from Sno Cone Card Stock. Next, I cut out two panels from one of the Joyful Plaid Papers using the stitched rounded rectangle die from the Blueprints 30 Die-namics set. I adhered the pieces according to the sketch onto a white cardstock panel and stamped the sentiment in-between.

The image was stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and I colored it with Copics. I cut it out with the coordinating die and used foam tape for a bit of dimension.

MFT Stamps • Color Challenge 205

02.02.2023

Hi everyone,

today starts a new MFT Color Challenge. I invite you to join the bi-weekly challenge with a project for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the MFT boutique.

I finally was able to use the cool MSTN Cassette Tape Die-namics and matching MSTN Mixtape Sentiments.

And these are the colors for the Color Challenge #205:

First, I created a white card base a bit larger than the regular A2 size. I die cut four curved slices from the Blueprints 25 Die-namics set (which were part of the latest January Vault Release) using cardstock in the challenge colors. I adhered them to the top and bottom of a white cardstock panel slightly smaller than the card base and trimmed off the excess.

Next, I die cut all the cassette tape pieces and did some stamping on the white die-cut. I stamped one of the scripty sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink at an angle and adhered the cassette tape above it. I finished off the card with three black star die-cuts.

Make sure to check out the MFT YouTube channel for even more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you an amazing day!

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 631

01.02.2023

Hello sweet friends,

there's a new sketch over at the MFT Blog for our weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I created a CAS card using one of the penguins from the Polar Opposites stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

I started off with a regular sized white A2 card base and trimmed down a piece of striped paper from the Finishes and Textiles Paper Pad. Next, I die cut the heart and matching frame from Summer Splash and Smooth White Card Stock using the Box of Chocolates Die-namics.

The cute penguin was stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copics. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock banner and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, I adhered the patterned paper and heart flat using liquid glue and popped up the penguin and sentiment banner with foam tape.
