Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers Happy Wedding

24.08.2018

Happy Friday everyone,

hubby needed a wedding card for a co-worker and I was glad to finally get to play with the amazing Simon Says Stamp «Beautiful Flowers» stamp set.

This gorgeous floral cluster is huge and I stamped it in VersaMark on «Petal Pink» cardstock by Stampin' Up! and heat embossed it in white. For the first time, I tried some coloring with Polychromos pencils (I only own 3 so far). I wanted to keep it soft and monochrome, so I only added shadows and minimal highlights.

The scripty sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set by Altenew and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I matted the panel onto SU «Gray Granite» cardstock and used the same light pink cardstock for my card base. To embellish the card, I adhered «Ice Cube Jewels» by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • August Release • Showcase

16.08.2018

Hi peeps,

the Hello Bluebird August Release is NOW available :-) There are so many amazing products – you have to check it out!

Today I have two cards for you. The first one is again for Halloween and features the new Ghostly Greetings set and the Halloween Tree Die.

For the very first time, I played with Nuvo Shimmer Powders to create my background. The «Violet Brocade» powder is just amazing! Next, I colored the adorable ghosts with Copics and cut them out with the Ghostly Greetings companion dies. I also die cut the tree and grass border (Grassy Knoll Die) from MFT «Steel Grey» cardstock and the cat and star from black glitter paper. The frame which I cut from black cardstock is from the previously released Gallery Frame Die #1. To finish off the card, I added «Pale Periwinkle» Nuvo Jewel Drops.

On the second card, I used the Autumn Gatherings stamps and the Birch Trees Die to create a cozy Fall scene.

I colored these cute woodland critters with Copics and cut them out with the Autumn Gatherings companion dies. The birch trees and card base were cut from MFT «Primitive White» cardstock which is offwhite and has tiny speckles. It goes so well with the woodgrain panel. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black cardstock rectangle and finally added two hearts and some enamel dots as embellishments.

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #68

15.08.2018

Good morning peeps,

the summer holidays are over and it's time for a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog«School/Work».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until September 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I created a card for a little girl who started school this week. I used the Create A Smile «Endlich Schulkind» stamp set and one of the «Kleine Worte» dies («Hurra» means «Hooray»). Both products are available in an English version, too («First Day of School» stamps and «Tiny Sentiments» dies).

In the background, I used the fun «Focal Point» stencil with the Distress Oxide Inks «Shaded Lilac» and «Wilted Violet». The images were colored with Copics. I also did some Paper Piecing on the candy cone using yellow polka dot paper. To finish off my card, I added some matching sequins from my stash.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Back To School».

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • August Release • Preview

11.08.2018

Hello everyone,

the Hello Bluebird August Release is just around the corner. Get ready for some fun new Fall and Halloween products which will be available on Wednesday, August 15th. The DT previews start today and I made two Halloween cards.

My first card features the Spooky Script stamp set and the Spooky Scene Die.

First, I die cut the moon from a piece of masking paper. I blended the Distress Oxide Inks (Broken China, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot) over the mask an tried to achieve a glow around the moon. Next, I die cut all the pieces for my scene. For the trees, I even used black glitter cardstock. It is so much fun to assemble all the pieces to create this spooky night scene. I stamped the sentiment, pumpkin and bats with VersaFine «Onyx Black» and finished off this card by adding white star die cuts.

On my second card, I used the quirky Trick or Treat set and the pinked frame from the new Gallery Frame Die #3.

I colored the Halloween creatures with Copics and created and ink blended background with Distress Oxides (Carved Pumpkin, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch). The grey frame (cut using the Gallery Frame Die #1) happens to perfectly fit into the pinked frame. Love how you can mix and match these die sets! I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Spooky Script set. The card was complete by adhering a strip of patterned paper and two black stars.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
