Sunny Studio Stamps • Holiday Release • Words of Gratitude

30.09.2021

Hi everyone,

today's focus is on the Word of Gratitude Stamps which are perfect to simply say Thank You in many different ways.

I combined the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies with the Frilly Frames Chevron background and die cut it from white cardstock. I also die cut the chevrons from three colors of cardstock and alternately inlaid them. I adhered the chevron background with a piece of fun foam to the white A2 card base.

The sentiment was stamped in two colors onto a white stitched cardstock circle. I additionally heat embossed the pink words 'thank you' with clear embossing powder. Next, I die cut a couple of Winter Greenery sprigs from white cardstock and adhered them behind the sentiment circle which I popped up with foam tape. To embellish the card, I added three Iridescent Pearls in matching colors.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Holiday Release • Fall Friends

23.09.2021

Hello everyone,

we're slowly heading into fall as the leaves change their colors and the temperatures get cooler. With today's card I'm highlighting the adorable Fall Friends Stamps which are perfect to build scenes by using all the fun accessories.

I started off with an A2 card base made from Kraft cardstock. For the sunset background, I did some ink blending on smooth Bristol cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks (Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmelade, Abandoned Coral and Candied Apple). I added gold paint splatters with a small brush.

Next, I cut two grass pieces using the borders included in the Slimline Nature Borders Dies and Picket Fence set. The Distress Oxide colors I used for them are Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness. And again, I added ink splatters for a little bit of interest. When everything was completely dry, I ran all ink blended pieces through my die cutting machine with the stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Retro Petals Dies set. Then I layered them on top of each other.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a red cardstock strip and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, I assembled my card and adhered all the elements with liquid glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

MFT 2021 Card Design Superstar • Clean & Simple Genius

22.09.2021

Hi peeps,

so happy I had some quiet me-time to dive into my stash and get creative. Of course I didn't want to pass the opportunity to take part in the 2021 Card Design Superstar Contest hosted by My Favorite Things. This annual event is always so much fun and really inspiring!

I decided to create a card for the Clean & Simple Genius category. I picked up the idea from the card I made for this contest back in 2017 ;-)

I adore this cute cat with the big glasses from the Housecats stamp set and combined it with the scratching dog included in the Birdie Brown Woof Pack stamp set. Although I planned out a more simple scene, I wanted to tell a fun little story, too. It just makes me giggle!

The background and floor were made with two wonderful papers from the Wallpaper Patterns 6x6 paper pad. I love this combo of yellow and grey which happens to be the Pantone Color of the Year 2021 as well. I used a narrow strip die from the retired Aquarium Die-namics set to cut the shelf the cat is sitting on from brown woodgrain cardstock.

I stamped the cat, dog, tennis ball and plants in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I fussy cut the images with scissors and adhered them to my card with liquid glue and foam tape. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and used one of the retired Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut it out.

Thank you so much for stopping by! And good luck to everyone!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Holiday Release • Crisp Autumn

16.09.2021

Hi everyone,

today's colorful card features the Crisp Autumn Stamps and a special die cutting technique.

The bright color scheme was inspired by the beautiful Sweater Weather 6x6 Papers. This means, I added aqua, pink and blue to the traditional fall colors. I created an A2 card base from white cardstock and cut out the blue leafy paper with a slightly smaller rectangle die.

I stamped all layers of the leaves and pumpkins with dye inks (you can find the ink colors below) and the help of a stamp positioning tool. I cut them out with the coordinating dies

Next, I did the "Die cuts within larger die" technique. Therefore, I arranged the die cuts on a circle and put a piece of masking paper on top to keep everything in place. Then I run it through my die-cutting machine with a regular circle die. I flipped it over and added foam tape to the back of the die cuts. I adhered it to a white cardstock cirle before carefully removing the masking paper. I trimmed off a bit from the right side and lined it up with the patterned paper.

The scripty sentiment was stamped in dark blue, cut out with the matching die and I adhered it using liquid glue. Finally, I added three White Diamond Jewels to embellish the card.

Altenew Dye Inks used:
Orange pumpkins: Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze
Green pumpkins: Minty Mint, Sweet Leaf, Just Green
Pumpkin stems: Forest Glades, Evergreen
Yellow leaves: Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee
Green leaves: Bamboo, Parrot, Olive
Pink leaves: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry
Aqua leaves: Mountain Mist,Volcano Lake, Lagoon, Emerald
Sentiment: Sapphire

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a happy day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Holiday Release • Icing Borders

09.09.2021

Hello everyone,

today I have a love and winter themed card for you showing you how you can use the Icicle Border Dies as accents on your project. I die cut the ric-rac border from five colors of cardstock to create a repeating design element in the background.

I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down a light grey cardstock panel to be 3/16 inch smaller on each side. Next, I adhered the ric-rac borders with liquid glue and cut off the excess. I also die cut one of the Stitched Hearts from lavender cardstock. For a bit of dimension, I popped it off with foam tape.

I love the versatile Bear Hugs Stamps and picked the adorable polar bear couple as well as a little heart. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the bears. The heart was fussy cut with scissors. I adhered the images in the middle of the heart die-cut.

The scripty word 'hugs' is included in the Scalloped Oval Mats 3 Dies set and I cut it three times from white heavyweight cardstock. I stacked the die cuts on top of each other and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added three clear sequins.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Holiday Release • Bewitching

02.09.2021

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to share my first Holiday Release inspiration project. Today we're featuring the cute Bewitching Stamps.

I started off with a white A2 card base on which I added tiny black ink splatters. Next, I cut random strips from four colors of cardstock and repeated them to create a background.

The stamp set comes with the adorable kitty, a witch hat, a cauldron and a trio of bubbles. I also picked three pumpkins (Fall Friends, Harvest Mice) and a scarecrow (Farm Fresh) to create a little Halloween scene. All images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto a white cardstock strip and assembled the card by adhering everything with liquid glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
