MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 613

28.09.2022

Hi everyone,

we have a new sketch over at the MFT Blog for our weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I created a CAS card using the adorable Bookworm Bears stamps and also dies from the latest Coffee Shop Card Kit.

Here is this week's sketch #613:

First, I made an A2 top folding card base from Tropical Teal Card Stock. I trimmed down a white cardstock panel to be slightly smaller and masked off two rectangles on the right side. I did some soft ink blending with Distress Oxides (top: Salvaged Patina, bottom: Tattered Rose).

Next, I stamped the images (the stack of books is from the YUZU School Is Cool stamp set) and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I stamped the sentiment included in the BB Our Story set in Salvaged Patina and heat embossed it with Embossing Glaze in the same color. Then I die cut the mug (Be Your Own Barista Die-namics) and lamp (Industrial Finishes Die-namics) from colored cardstock. Finally, I assembled the two little scenes by adhering the images and die-cuts with liquid glue.

MFT Stamps • September Card Kit Release Day

27.09.2022

Hello everyone,

the brand new Coffee Shop Card Kit is now available for purchase! The price for this fabulous collection of coordinated products is more than 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

For today's inspiration card, I created an actual industrial style coffee shop with a cool brick wall, a big chalkboard and a wooden counter.

First, I adhered two of the Floor to Ceiling patterned papers to an A2 card base. Then I die cut the counter from Kraft and Milk Chocolate Card Stock using the Bistro Basics Die-namics. I stamped the Coffee Shop logo from the kit-exclusive stamp set onto a small Chantilly Cream Card Stock rectangle.

The chalkboard was cut from Something Blue (thin frame) and Gravel Gray Card Stock  with the Make a Sign Die-namics. I stamped the chalkboard lettering (also included in the kit-exclusive stamp set) in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it in white. For a more chalky look, I didn't wipe away the residue from the embossing powder tool.

Next, I die cut the coffee machine, cups, mugs, cake and cloche with the help of  the Be Your Own Barista Die-namics. The cardstock colors I used are Princess Pink, Red Hot, Chantilly Cream, Kraft, Milk Chocolate, Lazy Day, Something Blue, Gravel Gray and Black Licorice. The cloche was done in vellum which I colored on the back with a light blue Copic marker.

The ceiling lamp and plant are included in the add-on die sets Industrial Finishings and Pots and Plants. The additional cardstock colors I used are Lemon Drop and Jalapeño Popper.

I white heat embossed one of the Coffee Order sentiments onto a black cardstock rectangle. Finally, I assembled the card and adhered everything with liquid glue or foam squares.

MFT Stamps • September Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

26.09.2022

Happy Monday friends,

today we're introducing the superb Coffee Shop Card Kit that will be available tomorrow, September 27th at 10 am EDT.

This kit comes with lots of dies to create your own coffee shop themed scene and includes all the itty bitty pieces to dress it up even more. I created a scene that could be at home as well.

I started off with an A2 landscape card base and trimmed down two pieces of the Floor to Ceiling Paper Pad. I love how the striped wallpaper looks against the grey plank floor.

Next, I die cut the interior elements from Gravel Gray, Red Hot and Amarena Cherry Card Stock using the Bistro Basics Die-namics. The cups, coffee pot and cupcakes were die cut with the Be Your Own Barista Die-namics and placed onto the table. I added two plants (Pots and Plants Die-namics) and a clock (Industrial Finishings Die-namics) to my scene. The additional cardstock colors I used are Summer Splash, Tropical Teal, Sour Apple, Field Green and Cement Gray. I did a bit of shading with Copics.

Finally, I adhered all the die-cuts and stamped one of the Coffee Order sentiments in black to the right side of the clock.

Here's another peek at the September Card Kit:

SSS + MFT STAMPtember Exclusive Collaboration

22.09.2022

Hi peeps,

today I have the honor to join the ongoing month-long party called STAMPtember hosted by Simon Says Stamp. I'm excited to share my card with you that I made with the exclusive collaboration set from My Favorite Things.

The special collaboration set is called Owl-ways My Favorite. Please note that this limited edition set is only available while supplies last! Feel free to click on either link or picture to shop.

Stamp + Die Combo

For my CAS card, I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. I used one of the SSS Nested Hearts Dies to cut out a window.

I did an ink blended background with Distress Oxides directly onto the white card base. The ink colors I used are Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina, Milled Lavender and Tattered Rose. I also splattered on white paint with a brush and let it dry completely. Then, I stamped one of the sentiments in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Next, I stamped two of the owls, the branch and the tiny heart in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them with scissors (there are coordinating dies available in the stamp+die combo set).

To create a bit of dimension, I popped up the heart window panel as well as the images with foam tape. I adhered some embellishments in matching colors to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a lovely day!

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 612

21.09.2022

Hello friends,

today I'm back again with a card for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #612. I used the sweet Helping Hands stamp set and the Joyful Plaid Paper Pad from the latest September Release.

And here is this week's sketch:

I started off by covering the front of the card base with one of the gorgeous plaid patterned papers. Then I created two scenes for the circle elements. I die cut two stitched circles and did some masking and ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Scattered Straw and Shabby Shutters).

Next, I stamped the images, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I assembled the scene by adhering the images with liquid glue and foam squares.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a Gravel Gray Card Stock strip and I heat embossed it in white. Finally, I attached it to the center of the card.

MFT Stamps • September Release Day

13.09.2022

Hi everyone,

the fabulous My Favorite Things September Release is now available for purchase! Please head over to the MFT Blog for another round of inspiring DT projects.

I created this card in warm fall colors using the Crosshatch Die-namics and the Thanks Die-namics.

First, I made an A2 card base from Amarena Cherry Card Stock. For the background, I had to step out of my comfort zone working with Distress Oxide Sprays which are more difficult to control than what I usually use for ink blending. The colors I picked are Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Dusty Concord. I also added random golden paint splatters with a brush. I used the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics to cut out the panel and adhered it to the card base.

Next, I die cut the crosshatch from white cardstock and carefully applied Finetec Coliro Pearlcolor in Moon Gold. The delicate 'thanks' was die cut twice from red cardstock to make it more sturdy as it is quite delicate. I added a piece of vellum behind it for more legibility.

I stamped the leaves image from the DBD Pretty Poinsettias set and the sub-sentiment (included in the Punny Farm stamp set) in VersaMark Ink onto white cardstock and heat embossed both with gold embossing powder.

MFT Stamps • September Release Countdown Day 1

12.09.2022

Happy new week,

the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown wraps up today. We are revealing the remaining products that will be available tomorrow.

I created a little outdoor scene with the Happy Camper stamp set which I framed with one of the Elegant Stitched STAX Die-namics. To make it look like some kind of pennant, I flipped it upside down.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. To create a window, I used the third largest of the Elegant Stitched STAX Die-namics.

Next, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides for the night sky and the grass. I applied Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot to the edges of a Something Blue Card Stock piece. I also splattered on white paint for some tiny stars. For the grass, I blended together Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink. I used the Grassy Terrain Die-namics to cut out two grass borders which I layered on top of each other.

I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The images in the background were adhered flat with liquid glue. I stamped one of the sentiments in VersaMark Ink onto a Lemon Drop Card Stock strip and white heat embossed it. Finally, I popped up the sentiment strip, deer, fox and window panel with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • September Release Countdown Day 2

11.09.2022

Hi friends,

only 2 more days until the My Favorite Things September Release goes live. Check out today's reveals and inspiration over on the MFT Blog.

I created a Clean and Simple holiday card with the Reindeer Love stamp set and the Be Merry Die-namics (both designed by Miss Tiina).

First, I started off with a white A2 landscape card base and die cut another white cardstock panel with the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. I die cut the 'Be Merry' right into the center of this panel and adhered it to the card base. I kept all the cut outs and die cut it again from colored cardstock. I went with a cool winter color palette (Cement Gray, Something Blue, Grapesicle, Princess Pink, Lazy Day and Sno Cone). I layered the white and colored cardstock die-cuts on top of each other for a bit of dimension and inlaid them back into the negative parts of the white panel. I cut a strip from the Joyful Plaid Paper Pad and attached it to the bottom.

Next, I stamped the reindeer and heart, did some Copic coloring and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Finally, I adhered the images with liquid glue.

I invite you to visit the MFT YouTube channel for even more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!

MFT Stamps • September Release Countdown Day 3

10.09.2022

Hello everyone,

we're halfway through the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown and today we have a couple more Fall themed products for you.

I made a Mini Slimline card with the Cozy Days with You stamp set that features cute critters, autumn leaves and large pumpkins. I also used the Tree Stumps Die-namics which are this month's Free with $60 option.

First, I started off with a white card base measuring 6" x 3". For the sky, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Uncharted Mariner, Speckled Egg and Tumbled Glass. I also added little ink splatters with a brush. The grass was done with Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink. I used one of the new Grassy Terrain Die-namics to cut the grass border. To add the stitching details around the edges, I die cut the background and grass with the Mini Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I adhered both pieces to the card base.

Next, I stamped the images, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I love how the critters can be placed on top of the pumpkins or tree stumps. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip and I white heat embossed it. Finally, I assembled the scene and adhered the images as well as the sentiment strip.

MFT Stamps • September Release Countdown Day 4

09.09.2022

Hi peeps,

on Day 2 of the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown we're showcasing more Christmas products. It's never too early to start the holiday crafting ;-)

I created a Clean and Simple card with the new Pure Innocence Christmas Sweetheart stamp set. I went with a traditional red/green color combo and picked a matching piece of patterned paper from the Joyful Plaid Paper Pad.

First, I did some faded ink blending in the background of my white A2 card using Distress Oxides (Saltwater Taffy and Tattered Rose). I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink to the right side and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I adhered the plaid paper to the bottom of the card and added a thin strip of Gravel Gray Card Stock above it to create a ground for the santa girl to stand on.

Next, I stamped the girl and two gift boxes in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the images with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Finally, I adhered them with liquid glue and foam squares.

MFT Stamps • September Release Countdown Day 5

08.09.2022

Hello everyone,

it's the first day of previews for the My Favorite Things September Release which is jam-packed with wonderful Fall and Christmas themed products. The new items will be available on Tuesday, September 13th at 10 am EDT.

For my first card, I used the adorable Christmas Tree Farm stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

First, I started off with an A2 landscape card base and trimmed down one of the pretty Joyful Plaid patterned papers to the same size. For the background of my little winter scene, I double-stamped the new Touch of Texture Background with Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink. I created a snow hill with the help of the Sand and Surf Die-namics and inked the top edge with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I ran through the subtle background and snow hill with a die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1 Die-namics set and adhered both to a Kraft Card Stock mat.

Next, I stamped the images, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I adhered the images on top of the snow hill using liquid glue and thin foam squares. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip. I white heat embossed it and attached the strip above the critters which finishes today's card.
