DT Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #12 | Breezy Buttercup

16.04.2016

Hi everyone,

today I show you the card that I made for the current Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge.

This time we have a sketch which I really enjoyed:

And here is my take:

I made a spring themed card with the gorgeous Breezy Buttercup Digi Stamp. I cropped the image to make her fit into the circle and did some coloring with Copics. I tried to keep it bright and soft.

I cut a piece of yellow polka dot paper and stamped the sentiment in black. Then I assembled my card and added some embellishments trying to follow the sketch.

You still have time to enter our «CAS Sketch» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #40

15.04.2016

Hello everyone,

today starts the new bastel-traum.ch Challenge and it's all about «Shaker Cards».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until May 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I know shaker cards are still very popular but this is just my second try:

I made a Mother's Day card using these cute owls from the Lawn Fawn «Mom + Me» stamp set. They were colored with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and I fussy cut them leaving a tiny white border. The sentiment from the same set was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with «Liquid Platinum» powder by Ranger. I also added two little pink die-cut hearts.

For my simple shaker element I cut an opening with the My Favorite Things «LJD Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window» Die-namics. I also used the largest Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Rectangle» die to make the panel a bit smaller than my card base. Then I created an ombré background by softly blending some Distress Inks. I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of my window and added lots of foam tape around it before filling in this gorgeous sequins/shaker mix by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge April

05.04.2016

Good morning everyone,

it's time for a new Stempelgarten Challenge and this month we have a beautiful color chart for you.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

The pinks and greens along with the neutrals grey and brown are just perfect for spring and flowers:

So I made a Thank You card with the gorgeous «Spring Wreath» stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I really enjoyed stamping all these elements and flowers. Thanks to my dear friend Francine I now own some of the MFT Premium Dye Inks. I love their bright colors and the great results when stamping solid images. I fussy cut some of the flowers and popped them up with foam tape to create some dimension.

The sentiment (really like the mix of fonts) was stamped in VersaFine «Vintage Sepia» for a change. I used the largest Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Rectangle» die (it's my all-time-favorite!) to cut my panel and adhered it with a piece of white fun foam to my Kraft card base.

Since I had all the inks out, I created a second card – this time with the MFT «Beautiful Blooms» set.

I think I went a bit overboard with all the stamping but I just couldn't stop ;-) I framed my colorful flower field using the «Stitched Square Scallop Frames» Die-namics, cut from dark brown cardstock. The stamped panel was cut with the largest SSS «Stitched Square» die and directly adhered to the light pink card base. I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine «Vintage Sepia», too.

You will have time until April 30th, 2016 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

April Pinterest Inspired Challenge

01.04.2016

Hello everyone,

the last month flew by like crazy and this means it's time for a new Pinterest Inspired Challenge.

http://pinterestinspiredchallenge.blogspot.ch/

This is the gorgeous inspiration photo for April:

It's so colorful and fresh which totally makes me think of spring. Besides, I just love everything floral! This is my take:

Inspired by the beautiful colors from the photo I did some Distress Ink watercolor washes in coral, pink, aqua and blue tones and let everything dry completely. I also wanted to incorporate the white outlines of the flowers to my design. The fabulous Paper Smooches «Adorable Array» die was the perfect choice to do some Inlaid Die-Cutting. I cut it from Simon Says Stamp «Fog» cardstock, plain white Ranger/Tim Holtz «Distress Watercolor Cardstock» and my watercolored panels. I assembled all the pieces which was really fun!

I stamped the «Thanks» sentiment (a free-with-order stamp from Paper Smooches) in VersaMark and heat embossed it in white. Finally, I embellished my card with sequins by Little Things from Lucy's Cards and Pretty Pink Posh.

Enter your project(s) until Monday, April 25th at 11:55pm EST. For all the challenge details and the inspiring work of my lovely team mates please hop over to the PIC blog. I'm looking forward to see your creations!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great Friday!
