Hero Arts Manatee Birthday Card

26.02.2018

Happy Monday everyone,

today I want to share with you the birthday card that I made for my dad featuring the Hero Arts «Manatee Stamp & Cut» set. It contains some coordinating dies to match the stamps which is very convenient.

I colored the images with Copics and dressed up the manatee with a top hat and a tied bow. For the background, I sponged some Distress Oxide Inks («Salty Ocean», «Peacock Feathers» and «Cracked Pistachio») through a fun starburst stencil by Florilèges («Etoile Rayonnante»).

I stamped the sentiment from the same set in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and added black enamel dots to finish off my card.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Make Your Own Background»

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you'll have a fantastic week!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #62

15.02.2018

Hi crafty peeps,

we already reached the mid of February – this means we have a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog for you. The theme is pretty easy and versatile: «Birthday/Party».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until March 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

Alcohol Inks made a huge comeback these days, so I decided to create a background on Yupo Paper with aqua, blue and green tones. I thought it would be fun to use the Inlaid Die Cutting technique with the Memory Box «Fresh Foliage» die.

The sentiment is from the Winnie & Walter «The Party» stamp set and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» powder. I cut a mat from SSS «Fog» cardstock using a MFT «Stitched Rectangle» die. To finish off my card, I adhered «Crystal Rainbow Confetti» from Studio Katia.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge February

05.02.2018

Good morning everyone,

where the heck has the month of January gone?! It's already time for a new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Girly».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I don't do girly cards that often but I decided to create a card for my sweet little daughter using the adorable princess from the My Favorite Things «Once Upon A Time» set that just looks like her.

I colored the image with Copics and fussy cut her out with my scissors. For the heart in the background, I cut a mask and used the negative part to do some Ink Blending with Distress Oxide Inks («Candied Apple», «Picked Raspberry» and «Wilted Violet»). When it was completely dry, I put the gorgeous Simon Says Stamp «Swirls and Dots» stencil on top and applied a layer of Wendy Vecchi «Translucent» Embossing Paste. I really love the glossy result!

The sentiment is from the same MFT «Once Upon A Time» set and I stamped it in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and covered it with clear embossing powder. I die cut my panel with the largest of the MFT «A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1» Die-namics and adhered it to a pink card base with a piece of fun foam. I popped up the little princess with foam tape and added some die-cut hearts and sequins to finish off my card.

For my card layout I followed the current MFT Wednesday Sketch #370:

I'm also entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday «Anything Goes» Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #90 with the theme «Love/Hearts».

You will have time until February 28th, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:
