MFT Stamps • August Card Kit Release Day

30.08.2022

Hi friends,

the brand new Sending Sunflowers Card Kit is now available for purchase! The price for this beautiful collection of coordinated products is 30% off the cost of purchasing the elements separately.

I used the Sunflower Wreath Die-namics again and paired them with the Blessed Die-namics (Free with $60 option) that stretches perfectly over the wreath.

I started off with an A2 card base made from Grapesicle Card Stock. Then I stamped one of the Thoughtful Greetings in VersaMark Ink onto the bottom part of the card and heat embossed it in white.

Next, I die cut the wreath, flowers, leaves and little stems from several colors of cardstock. The colors I used are Smooth White, Lemon Drop, Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Grape Jelly, Limelight, Field Day, Kraft and Milk Chocolate. I really enjoyed assembling the wreath!

The word 'blessed' was die cut from white and purple cardstock. I shifted the die-cuts slightly while glueing them on top of each other to create a shadow. I put tiny slivers of foam tape behind it for a bit of dimension.

MFT Stamps • August Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

29.08.2022

Happy new week everyone,

today we're introducing the Sending Sunflowers Card Kit which will be available tomorrow, August 30th at 10 am EDT.

Sunflowers are so pretty and can make anyone happy, right?! Why not sending a bunch of these beauties along with some heartfelt greetings. The products in this kit can be easily combined with each other and here is the card I came up with. For my bouquet in a vase, I used the Sunflower Wreath Die-namics and Farmhouse Foundations Die-namics.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base. I did some soft ink blending in the background using Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. I also added some small ink splatters with a brush. I stamped one of the Thoughtful Greetings in VersaFine Onyx Black at the top of the card. On the bottom, I adhered a strip of red Falling for Houndstooth Paper to mimic a tablecloth.

I applied some Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink to white cardstock to create two tones of yellow and let it dry. I die cut the sunflowers from my self-made yellow cardstock and the inner pieces from Milk Chocolate Card Stock. The leaves and stems were done in Sour Apple and Field Day Card Stock.

For the vase, I tried to create a transparent glass look by die cutting it from Sno Cone Card Stock and a piece of acetate which I layered on top. I inked the edges of the light blue cardstock with Salvaged Patina and carefully added a thin line of liquid glue to attach the acetate. I made sure to leave the top of the vase open so I could insert the flower stems. To be honest, it took me a while but it was worth it.

Finally, I assembled the sunflowers and build a bouquet by adding the leaves here and there.

MFT Stamps • August Release Day

16.08.2022

Hello friends,

The My Favorite Things August Release which is jam-packed with fabulous products is now available for purchase.

For today's Friendship card, I used the cool To the Rescue stamps along with the Outside The Box Cityscape Die-namics.

First, I started off with a white cardstock card base and panel, both in standard A2 size. I used the 3 1/2" circle die from the A2 Circle STAX Die-namics set to cut out a window. Then I stamped the sentiment in black below the circle window.

For the night sky, I blended together blue Distress Oxide Inks (Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean). I die cut the two cityscapes, once from Black Licorice and once from Gravel Gray Card Stock. I adhered the ink blended background and cityscape die-cuts behind the circle window.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Finally, I adhered the cat and dog with foam squares and the stars with liquid glue.

MFT Stamps • August Release Countdown Day 1

15.08.2022

Happy Monday everyone,

today the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown wraps up and we are revealing the remaining products that will be available tomorrow.

Look at this gang of cute critters from the new Ride or Die stamp set. They're rolling by on their fun vehicles to deliver some sweet birthday wishes.

First, I created a landscape A2 card base from white cardstock. Then I picked a blue paper from the Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad and die cut it with largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 2 Die-namics.

For the hill, I use one of the Sand and Surf Die-namics and cut it from Cement Gray Card Stock. I inked the top edge with Hickory Smoke and a little bit of Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and let it dry. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink at the center and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I used the same stitched rectangle die to cut it out and adhered the hill on top of the polka dot paper.

Next, I stamped the images, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I popped them up with foam squares for a bit of dimension. To finish off the scene, I added the sun and clouds from the previously released Joyful Giraffes set.

MFT Stamps • August Release Countdown Day 2

14.08.2022

Hi friends,

only 2 more days until the My Favorite Things August Release will be available. And today we're getting spooky with some fun Halloween inspiration.

For my CAS card, I used the adorable YUZU Best Witches stamp set which is actually too cute to spook 👻

First, I trimmed down a white cardstock panel to be a bit smaller than the A2 card base. I did some faded ink blending with Distress Oxides (Chipped Sapphire, Shaded Lilac and Milled Lavender) to create the sky background.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I used the matching dies to cut everything out. I adhered the images and stamped the sentiment in black below the witch on her broom. Finally, I added three small black stars to embellish this simple card.

MFT Stamps • August Release Countdown Day 3

13.08.2022

Hello sweeties,

we are halfway through the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown with some fun products that are perfect for your Back To School projects. Check out today's reveals and inspiration over on the MFT Blog.

I made a card for my little boy (who is entering Kindergarten next week) featuring one of the adorable Bookworm Bears.
I also used the Notebook Edge Die-namics (Free with $60 option) along with the Notebook Paper.

I started off with a white A2 card base and cut out the blue patterned paper from the DBD Wildflowers Paper Pad with the largest A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 2 Die-namics. Then I trimmed down the red polka dot paper from the Cool Collab Paper Pad and put it behind the notebook paper. I adhered both papers at an angle.

Next, I stamped the images (the backpack and ruler are from the new YUZU School Is Cool set) and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock banner and heat embossed it in white. To finish off the card, I attached the images and sentiment banner with foam tape.

GD Sunny Studio Stamps • Baby Elephants

Hi everyone,

I'm so honored to be back again as a guest over on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm featuring the absolutely adorable Baby Elephants Stamps.

For my first card, I created a summer scene by combining two of the elephants with the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die.

First, I created an A2 landscape card base from white heavyweight cardstock. I then die cut all the pieces for my beach scene and started on working on the background. I masked off the bottom to create a horizont and stenciled the clouds with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. The gradient ink blending for the water was done with Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I colored the sand (Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap) and palm trees (Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot) with Distress Oxide Inks as well. The sea gulls were die cut from light grey cardstock.

I stamped the elephants in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating Baby Elephants Dies. The sentiment (Inside Greetings Birthday Stamps) was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a turquoise cardstock strip and heat embossed in white.

Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the die cuts and images. I layered two of the white stitched frames on top of each other for a bit of dimension.

Of course, I also had to make a Baby card with the sweet elephant sleeping in the clouds.

I started off with a lilac A2 card base and picked the purple starry patterned paper from the Surprise Party 6x6 Paper Pack. I die cut it with the full-size A2 stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. To create a window opening, I used the second largest of the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies.

For the purple night sky background, I did some circular ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet and Milled Lavender). I used the cloudy border from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set and cut it from white cardstock. I added Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the top edge.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with their matching dies. I arranged and glued down everything behind the semi-circle window and popped up the starry patterned paper panel with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock fishtail banner and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered it below the elphant image to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing weekend!

MFT Stamps • August Release Countdown Day 4

12.08.2022

Hi friends,

it's Day 2 of the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown and today we're featuring a couple of gorgeous fall themed products.

I made a Clean and Simple card with the new Pure Innocence Apple of My Eye stamp set. I also used a strip of patterned paper from the previously released DBD Wildflowers Paper Pad.

First, I adhered the pretty floral paper strip to the left side of my white A2 card base. Then I trimmed down a white cardstock panel and created an ink blended background with Distress Oxides (sky: Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina; ground: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn).

Next, I stamped the girl and colored her with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image and adhered it to the card.

MFT Stamps • August Release Countdown Day 5

11.08.2022

Hello everyone,

today we're kicking off the countdown to the My Favorite Things August Release. The new products will be available on Tuesday, August 16th at 10 am EDT.

I created a Clean and Simple card using the Tall Hello Die-namics which I combined with the Paint Strokes Stencil and one of the How To Say Hello sentiments.

First, I created an A2 card base from white cardstock and also trimmed another panel to be slightly smaller. I went with more fall-ish Distress Oxide Ink colors (Candied Apple, Crackling Campfire, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Uncharted Mariner) for the stenciling of the paint strokes. I let it dry and added gold paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut the word 'HELLO' twice from white cardstock and layered the letters on top of each other. I used the negative of the die-cut to help positioning and adhering them over the stenciled background.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock banner and heat embossed it in white. Finally, I adhered it with foam tape.
