DT Make it Crafty CAS Inspiration | Chipboard Love Birds

30.03.2016

Hi everyone,

today I have a new CAS inspiration card over at the Make it Crafty Store Blog featuring again some of the fabulous chipboards. I just love them!

I made a Wedding card with the two birds from the All About Love Elements Chipboard set. I die-cut this intricate Poppystamps «Chochitlan Wreath» once from green and the second time from Stampin' Up! «Naturals White» cardstock. Then I inlaid the inner piece into the wreath cut-out. I also die-cut the wreath a third time from pink cardstock to create the little berries.

The My Mind's Eye woodgrain paper was cut with the largest Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Rectangle» die. I stamped this scripty «Celebrate» from the gorgeous Avery Elle «Sentimental» set in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I also stamped the «Your Day» in VersaFine «Onyx Black». I adhered the panel directly to my grey top-folding card base.

Then I took the heart from the Outlined Words With Love Chipboard set and covered it with Avery Elle «Raspberry» pigment ink before heat embossing it in clear. After that I put my little love birds scene together and adhered it to my card using foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Quick Easter Cards

24.03.2016

Hi peeps,

when you're running out of time, you'll have to create some quick cards ;-)

Therefore Die Cutting and Heat Embossing are really helpful and time-saving techniques.

On my first card I stamped the chicken from Inkadinkado in VersaMark and heat embossed it with WOW! embossing powder in Copper.

I also did the same with the German Stampin' Up! sentiment which means «Easter Greetings». I really like how the Copper looks on the SU «Naturals White» cardstock that has some little speckles.

For my second card I die-cut a bunny (Poppystamps «Bunny Buddies») out of a easter egg (Whimsy Stamps «Egg»).

The cardstock in this beautiful «Rich Razzleberry» color is also from Stampin' Up!. I stamped the sentiment from Alexandra Renke (which means «Happy Easter») in the matching color. I cut a square using the My Favorite Things «In&Out Diagonal Stitched Square» Die-namics.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a HAPPY EASTER!

C.C. Designs Little Easter Bunny

22.03.2016

Hello everyone,

Easter is just around the corner and I finally managed to create a card ;-)

I sorted out some of my craft supplies a couple of days ago and found the Sweet November Stamps (by Amy Young) «Little Bunnies» stamp set from C.C. Designs.

I colored one of the bunnies with my Copics and fussy cut him out with scissors leaving a small white border. I added some white dots with a gelly roll pen. Since I have tons of patterned papers in my stash, I decided to make use of them, too. They are from the 6"x6" «Springtime» paper pad by Echo Park.

To create my scene I die-cut a circle from the yellow patterned paper and a grass border with the My Favorite Things «Grassy Edges» Die-namics. I framed it with one of the new MFT «Stitched Circle Scallop Frame» dies. The mint polka dot paper was cut with the large stitched rectangle scallop die from the MFT «Blueprints 27» set. I LOVE these dies so much!

I stamped the Stampin' Up! sentiment (which means «Happy Easter») in VersaFine «Onyx Black». Then I assembled my card and popped up the little scene and the bunny with foam tape. Finally, I added two pink die-cut hearts.

With my card I'm joining the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge «Cute and Cuddly».

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

DT Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #11 | I Miss You

16.03.2016

Hi peeps,

this is the card that I created for the current Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge with the theme «Masking».

There are so many different ways to use Masking on your projects. For my little card, I masked off a circle and did some Ink Blending with Distress Inks. Therefore I die-cut a circle from Inkadinkado Masking Paper and used the negative to protect the rest of my piece of white cardstock which I cut with a Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Square» die. Then I blended in blues and greens («Salty Ocean», «Tumbled Glass», «Twisted Citron» and «Mowed Lawn») to create a gradient.

I carefully removed the mask and let my panel air dry. Then I adhered the masking paper die-cut circle to cover my ink blended background. I stamped the dotted border (from a coming soon MiC background stamp set) in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

This cute doggy is from the All About Love Elements Chipboard set. I put a little piece of red cardstock behind the heart cut out before adhering the dog onto my blended background. I also added a second red die-cut heart and stamped the «I Miss You» sentiment from the WPlus9 «Bubbletalk» stamp set.

The grey chevron paper is from the My Favorite Things 6"x6" «Calm & Cozy» pack and I glued it directly to my card base. Finally, I popped up the masked and stamped panel using foam tape.

You still have time to enter our «Masking» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #39

15.03.2016

Good morning everyone,

today starts the new bastel-traum.ch Challenge with the versatile theme «Rainbow/Nature/Garden».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until April 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I have so many stamps that would go with these themes but I couldn't wait to play with the cutest unicorn ever ;-)

It's from the adorable Avery Elle «Be A Unicorn» stamp set which fortunately comes with a sweet rainbow. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out. I also stamped the sentiment and the stars directly on the Lawn Fawn polka dot paper. I also used one of my favorite dies from Avery Elle – the «Burst» die creates the perfect circle window for my little scene. I popped up the die-cut panel and images with foam tape. To finish my card I added two little silver star sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge March

05.03.2016

Good morning everyone,

it's time for a new Stempelgarten Challenge and this month's theme is «Packaging/Wrapping».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I created a little Easter treats basket with the help of the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. This tool is so versatile and you can find many tutorials for envelopes, boxes and other stuff all over the internet.

The tutorial which I used for my project is from Renate at schnipseldesign.com and you can find it HERE.

I picked this pretty My Mind's Eye floral 6"x6" patterned paper with chevrons on the other side. Since I have tons of patterned papers in my craft stash I could easily create hundreds of these baskets ;-)

This cute bunny (illustrated by the talented Torico/Birdie Brown) is from the My Favorite Things Somebunny stamp set and I colored it with my Copics. I cut a little banner and stamped the «Easter Treats» sentiment from the retired MFT «Easter Bunny» set in VersaFine «Onyx Black».

You will have time until March 31st, 2016 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

March Pinterest Inspired Challenge

01.03.2016

Hello everyone,

it's the 1st of the month and this means it's time for a new Pinterest Inspired Challenge.

http://pinterestinspiredchallenge.blogspot.ch/

This is the gorgeous inspiration photo for March:

Of course I was inspired by the feathers and the pretty color combo. So here is my take:

At first, I ran a piece of white cardstock through my die-cutting machine using the Kaisercraft «Type» embossing folder. I really like the texture you get. Then I die-cut two of the larger Simon Says Stamp «Pointed Feathers» from patterned paper (Create a Smile, Kaisercraft). The «thanks» die is also from SSS and I cut it three times from black cardstock and stacked these layers on top of each other. For a glossy look I clear heat embossed it. The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant «Heartfelt Wishes» set and I stamped it in VersaFine «Onyx Black». Finally, I assembled my card and added some enamel dots.

Enter your project(s) until Friday, March 25th at 11:55pm EST and you could win a fantastic $20 gift card to Butterfly Reflections, Ink. For all the challenge details and the inspiring work of my lovely team mates please hop over to the PIC blog. I'm looking forward to see your creations!
