Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Slimline Dies

27.08.2020

Hello everyone,

I'm so happy to share my first project using some of the brand new Sunny Studio Fall and Winter Release products.

Today I'm featuring the new line of slimeline dies. I picked the Slimline Scalloped Frame die and one of the Slimline Nature Borders Dies.

First, I die cut the pretty scalloped frame from Kraft cardstock and adhered it to a white top-folding card base that measures 8 11/16" x 3 5/8". To create a little scene, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides on Bristol cardstock. For the sunset sky, I used Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin and Ripe Persimmon. The curved grassy border was ink blended with Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn.

Next, I stamped the images from the sweet Harvest Mice set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. The solid cornstalk images were stamped in Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombré Ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and assembled my card using liquid glue.

Finally, I stamped the birthday sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock banner and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I had so much fun creating this cute harvest scene!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you an awesome day!

Hi everyone,

I'm so excited because today we are celebrating the 5th birthday of Sunny Studio Stamps with a special Blog Hop!

And I have more happy news to share – the new Fall and Winter Release is now available in the store and there's an amazing SALE going on, too!

You don't want to miss out on these special offers: there's free USA shipping on all retail orders over $25 using the code FREESHIP or 20% off all Sunny Studio Branded Products (excluding the new release and retired products) using the code FIVEYEARS through Wednesday, August 26th at 11:59pm PDT. Only one discount can be used per order so you will need to choose the one that has the biggest savings for you. And this season's free mini die will automatically come with all orders while supplies last.

Now on to the Blog Hop – you should have arrived from Angelica's blog. You can find the full list of participants at the bottom of this post. And there's also a GIVEAWAY waiting for you!

I created this fun holiday card combining the new North Pole Stamps and Winter Scenes Stamps. I just adore this little elf hanging on a bunch of balloons and flying over a peaceful winter village.

For the background, I picked the snowfall paper from the Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper pack. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. To stamp the star balloons, I used Altenew Dye Inks (Dew Drops, Aqualicious, Dusk; Crimson, Vineyard Berry). I drew in the balloon strings with a thin black marker.

Next, I cut everything out with the North Pole Dies and Winter Scenes Dies (which only cut along the top). I adhered the images with liquid glue and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Underwater Tag

13.08.2020

Hello everyone,

today I have another summer inspiration project for you. I came up with this tag featuring a little underwater scene.

First, I chose the waves patterned paper from the Summer Splash Paper pack. I used the second largest Stitched Arch Die to create the tag. I extended it in heighth by die cutting the first half, shifting the die a bit and running it through again. I also die cut the small hole at the top and added some navy/white bakers twine.

I stamped the seal (the Sealiously Sweet Stamps), fish (Best Fishes Stamps) and ocean border (Tropical Scenes Stamps) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored the images with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. To be able to line up the ocean border with the tag, I die cut it with the bottom part of the stitched arch die.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I finished off the tag with clear enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Stitched Arch

06.08.2020

Hi everyone,

I'm a big fan of dies with stitching details and the Stitched Arch Dies are really versatile. By hazard, I discovered that you can build a heart with them.

I started off with a turquoise A2 card base. From a slightly smaller white cardstock panel, I die cut the second largest arch twice using the Partial Die Cutting Technique. To get the heart shape, I rotated the die 90 degrees before running it through my die cutting machine again. For the actual heart, I die cut the arch from 3 shades of turquoise cardstock. I did some additional die cutting and inlaid the pieces into the negative white space.

Next, I stamped the floral and leaf images from the Pink Peonies set onto the same cardstock colors and some vellum using VersaMark Ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and arranged the images into a cluster right over the heart. I adhered them with liquid glue and popped up the largest peony in the center with foam tape.

I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Floating By set in VersaMark Ink onto a small cardstock strip and white heat embossed it. I adhered it with foam tape as well and added matching enamel dots and clear sequins to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a beautiful day!
