Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Surprise Party

30.05.2019

Hi everyone,

today I have a colorful birthday card for you showcasing the Sunny Studio Stamps Surprise Party 6x6 Paper pack. It's full of fun and bold patterns in happy rainbow colors. I combined these papers with the Party Pups Stamps and one of the Build-A-Tag #2 Dies.
I started off with a white A2 card base and die cut the balloon and sprinkles paper with two sizes of stitched rectangles. For the tag, I chose the blue tone-in-tone paper from one of the backsides.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. And know what? The party hat die from this set matches the patterned paper so I cut one out for the dog.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink directly onto the tag and white heat embossed it. I pulled a gingham ribbon through the tag hole and tied a small bow using white thread. I adhered the tag with foam tape and added Doodlebug Shape Sprinkles.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

Hello Bluebird • Fairy Garden • Happy Birthday

25.05.2019

Good evening peeps,

today I'm sharing a Clean and Simple Birthday card that I made with the Hello Bluebird Fairy Garden stamps and the Happy Birthday Words dies.

I just can't get enough of these fairies because they are so cute and versatile. This time I paper pieced their little dresses using patterned paper from the Doodlebug "Hello" 6x6 paper pad. I colored the hair and wings with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the background, I chose the navy/white striped paper and inlaid the word 'happy' which I die cut from pink floral patterned paper. The word 'birthday' was cut from golden glitter cardstock and adhered at an angle. I finished off my card with a green enamel heart.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Best Fishes

23.05.2019

Hi peeps,

today I'm back with a fun underwater scene featuring the Sunny Studio Stamps Best Fishes set. Aren't these sea creatures just adorable?!

I started with an A2 card base and adhered the orange starfish patterned paper from the Summer Splash 6x6 Paper pack. Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For my water background, I applied aqua, blue and turquoise Alcohol Inks to a piece of Yupo paper. I also sprinkled on some droplets of the blending solution to create random bubbles. I matted the panel on a piece of navy cardstock and adhered it at an angle.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink on a black cardstock strip and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut the right end into a fishtail banner shape using my scissors.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Sweater Vest Dies • Aloha

16.05.2019

Hello again,

today I'm up on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog with a summer project using the Sweater Vest Dies. Of course these dies are perfect for fall and winter or the upcoming Father's Day, but I transformed it into a summer top. Do you know these fun Hawaii shirts with colorful floral prints? I tried to create something similar in stamping a pattern with the beautiful Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamps.

I did a lot of masking and stamping for this floral pattern. First, I cut some masks out of full sticky notes using the coordinating hibiscus flower die. I adhered them to a piece of white cardstock and did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean) over it. It's always amazing when you peel off the masks and the crisp edges are revealed.

Next, I stamped all the layers of the hibiscus flowers (you can find the used ink colors below). I die cut the trimmings from yellow cardstock and gold heat embossed the sentiment.

Altenew Dye Inks used
Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Razzleberry, Warm Sunshine

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a sunny day!

Hello Bluebird • Fairy Garden • For a Fairy Good Friend

15.05.2019

Hi sweet friends,

today I'm sharing a new card with one of my favorite Hello Bluebird stamp sets ever. I mean how can one possibly resist these Fairy Garden cuties?

I created a dreamy pastel scene and tried creating a soft watercolor background with my ZIG Clean Color Real Brushes for the first time. I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I colored the two fairies and the little butterfly from the Garden Friends set with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. The flowers were stamped in VersaMark ink on heavyweight vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I tucked them behind a cloud border which I cut from white cardstock and adhered with foam tape.

The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder onto a white cardstock strip and popped up with foam tape, too. I finished off my card with sparkly embellishments by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much fro stopping by! Have a dreamy night!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Hawaiian Hibiscus

09.05.2019

Hi everyone,

spring is in full swing, but today I have a new summer card for you using the beautiful Sunny Studio Stamps Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamps. Do you know how many working hours and effort went into designing these kind of layering stamps? I'm always amazed by the detailed images and it is so much fun to stamp the layers in different colors.

So here is my floral birthday card where I combined the pretty hibiscus flowers with a foiled Botanical Backdrop frame.

I put a piece of Deco Foil Turquoise Transfer Sheet by Therm o Web on cardstock using Ken Oliver's "Stick it" adhesive. Then I ran it through my die cutting machine with the floral frame die.

Next, I stamped the layered flowers and leaves (find ink colors below) and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Originally, I wanted the darkest layer to be a bright pink. First, I tried pigment ink which sits on top of the paper, but it wasn't bright enough. Then I remembered the vibrant pink embossing powder that I had in my stash for years. But as it isn't opaque, it turned out red ;-) I thought it gave a nice contrast to the first three stamped layers though and kept going.

I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Everyday Greetings set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with turquoise embossing powder. Finally, I adhered the images and also added some matching crystals and enamel dots.

Dye Inks used
Hibiscus flowers: MFT Insulation Pink, Altenew Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Warm Sunshine
Leaves: Altenew Bamboo, Parrot and Olive

Hello Bluebird • Garden Friends • Happy Bird-Day

06.05.2019

Hi there,

today I'm sharing this happy little spring-themed card featuring the adorable Hello Bluebird  Garden Friends set.

For the background, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn). I splattered on random water droplets with a paint brush to lift the color and create some texture. When ever was completely dry, I white heat embossed the sentiment.

I colored the images with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Except of the music notes, I adhered all images with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Good night!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge May

05.05.2019

Good morning peeps,

the new theme at the Stempelgarten Challenge is Flowers. I redid a floral card design from about 2 years ago. Most of the times, I struggle with loose and uncontrolled coloring but I remembered how fun it was to do some watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks over a heat embossed background.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I white heat embossed the pretty My Favorite Things "Bundles of Blossom Background" on a sheet of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. First, I pressed the ink pads on my Ranger Non-stick Craft Sheet. Next, I put down a wash of clear water over the heat embossed background. I randomly applied the inks with a wet paint brush.

The Distress Oxide Ink colors I used are Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet. I love how you could add layer by layer. When everything was completely dry, I cut out the panel with one of the MFT "A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2" dies and adhered it to a card base made from MFT "Grapesicle" cardstock.

For my sentiment, I combined a white heat embossed word strip (MFT "From the Heart" stamps) with a negative die-cut (MFT "Happy Greetings" Die-namics) using a purple left-over Alcohol Ink  piece. Both were adhered with foam tape. To embellish my card, I added two matching enamel dots and a half pearl.

You will have time until May 31st, 2019 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Sunday!

02.05.2019

Hello everyone,

I started off with a lavender card base and cut out one of the new Summer Splash 6x6 Papers with a stitched rectangle die. I also die cut a circle window. For my romantic background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Wilted Violet and Tattered Rose on a piece of Bristol cardstock. I also splattered on some ink with a paint brush.

Next, I stamped the images in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I did some watercoloring with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut the images out with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered the images and popped up the flowers with foam squares. To finish my card, I added two tiny sequin hearts.
