MFT Stamps • May Card Kit Release Day

24.05.2022

Hello again,

the Greetings From The Couch Card Kit is now available for purchase. The price for this great collection of coordinated products is 30% off the cost of purchasing the elements separately.

I made a second card with the same color combo since I really like it. But there are endless possibilities with this fab kit.

This time I went with a landscape A2 card to create my scene. I used parts of all three die sets (Fundamental Furnishings, Potted Plants, Take a Seat) as well as the Free with $60 gift option Décor and More Die-namics. And of course, I again incorporated the fun patterns from the Finishes and Textiles Paper Pad and a Couch Potato sentiment.

MFT Stamps • May Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

23.05.2022

Hi everyone,

today I'm excited to introduce to you the newest Greetings From The Couch Card Kit which will be available tomorrow, May 24th at 10 am EDT.

It's so much fun to create cozy home scenes with all the furniture and décor dies offered in this kit! There's also a matching sentiment stamp set and a patterned paper pad included.

I came up with this card incorporating the dies that are part of the kit (Fundamental Furnishings, Potted Plants, Take a Seat) as well as the Picture Window Die-namics that will be sold separately.

First, I die cut all the pieces from Prestige Card Stock and the Finishes and Textiles Paper Pad. I blended a white panel with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink  to go behind the window.

Next, I stamped one of the Couch Potato sentiments in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Gravel Gray Card Stock and heat embossed it in white. I assembled the card by adhering the die-cuts and popping up the curtains and sentiment rectangle with foam tape.

Here's another peek at the May card kit:

MFT Stamps • May Vault Release Day

17.05.2022

Hello there,

the My Favorite Things May Vault is open and you can purchase all of the awesome oldies but goodies now!

I'm especially excited for the versatile Ride the Wave Die-namics to make an re-appearance. I paired them with the sweet Jungle Fun stamps from the latest May Release.

I die cut the waves from four colors of cardstock (Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Tropical Teal and Field Day) and adhered them to a Kraft cardstock panel.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating Jungle Fun Die-namics to cut them out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink underneath the waves.

Finally, I adhered the images with liquid glue and attached the design to a white A2 landscape card base.

MFT Stamps • May Vault Release • Countdown Day 1

16.05.2022

Hi everyone,

the final Countdown Day to the My Favorite Things May Vault Release is here! Today we are revealing the remaining products that will be available tomorrow.

For my CAS card, I picked the cool Headphones Die-namics that go perfectly with the Equalizer Stencil and the Keep On Rockin' stamps.

The stenciling was done with the Distress Oxide Inks Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Salvaged Patina. I die cut the headphones from Black Licorice and Gravel Gray Card Stock. I did some shading to the grey parts using Copics.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered the sentiment strip, headphones and three little black stars to finish off the card.

MFT Stamps • May Vault Release • Countdown Day 2

15.05.2022

Hey friends,

My Favorite Things is opening up the Vault again! This means some classic designs and favorites will be coming back! The release will be available on Tuesday, May 17th at 10 am EDT.

Today I'm starting off with a wedding card combining the Bride & Groom Die-namics with the Happily Ever After stamps.

First, I did some gradient ink blending on a white cardstock panel which is slightly smaller than the card base. I used Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink at the bottom and let it fade into white towards the top. The panel was attached to the card base with foam tape.

I die cut the wedding dress from white cardstock and made my own stencil with the swirl included in the die set. I used the same ink color for the stenciling and also on the little hearts. The suit was cut from a MSTN Black & White Plaid patterned paper. It was fun to paper piece the groom's outfit which I completed with white and black cardstock on the shirt, tie and buttons.

Next, I cut the hand-scripted Love Ya Die-namics from white cardstock, applied VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Metallic Platinum Sparkle Embossing Glitter. I paired the die-cut with a sentiment that I stamped onto a white rectangle and heat embossed it with Metallic Platinum Super Fine Embossing Powder.

Finally, I assembled the card by adhering the die-cuts with liquid glue and foam squares.

MFT Stamps • May Release Day

10.05.2022

Hello sweet friends,

today is the day! The fabulous new My Favorite Things May Release products are finally available for purchase.

I'm sharing a floral Clean and Simple card which I created with the beautiful Pure Poppies stamps and the previously released Scene Stencil - Rolling Hills.

I started off with a white A2 top folding card base and trimmed down another piece of white cardstock to be slightly smaller. Next, I stamped one of the Everyday Scripted Greetings in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and adhered the panel with foam tape.

For the background, I did some stenciling with Distress Oxide Inks (Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral). I simply changed the color and orientation of the stencil to create this layered look. I stamped three of the poppies in black and die cut a circle to create a focal element for my card which I popped up with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 1

09.05.2022

Happy new week everyone,

we're so close to the My Favorite Things May Release! The countdown wraps up today and we're sharing the last product previews.

On my card I used the playful We're the Picture of Best Friends stamp set along with the Collage Cover-Up Die-namics.

I thought it would be fun to have all the little drawings be framed by the die cut. Therefore, I cut the collage die once from white and the second time from Kraft cardstock. I stacked the frame die cuts on top of each other and adhered them to a white A2 card base.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I only die cut the images that weren't stamped onto the small squares with the matching We're the Picture of Best Friends Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment onto the stitched rectangle with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Finally, I inlaid all the interior cut outs back inside the frame and popped up the other images with foam squares.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 2

08.05.2022

Hello peeps,

only 2 more sleeps to the My Favorite Things May Release. Don't miss today's inspiration and product reveals over on the MFT Blog.

I just can't get enough of cute critters, so I picked the You Make My Days Sunshiny set for my card. I especially love the little hedgehog!

For the background, I did some stenciling on white cardstock. I masked off a strip at the left side and at the bottom as well. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and the Cloud Stencil to create a subtle sky. The grass border was done with the Grassy Edges Stencil through which I sponged Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Ink. I removed the masks and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I cut everything out with the coordinating You Make My Days Sunshiny Die-namics. I finished off the scene by adhering the images. Before glueing down the sun, I have added a bit of sunshine with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 3

07.05.2022

Hi friends,

we are halfway through the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown and today we have a bunch of new products perfect for the men in your life.

I created a monochrome Clean and Simple birthday card using the fun MSTN Mustache Trio Die-namics, MSTN Super Stache stamp set and the MSTN Father Figures Background.

I started off with an A2 card base and trimmed the plaid patterned paper from the MSTN Black & White Plaid Paper Pad to the same size. Next, I stamped the background in Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink onto white cardstock, cut it down and matted it with a Gravel Gray Card Stock panel.

I die cut each of the two mustaches three times from Black Licorice Card Stock and stacked them together. For even more dimension, I popped them up with foam squares. The birthday sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black on a white rectangle which I adhered with foam tape as well.

Please visit the MFT YouTube channel for more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 4

06.05.2022

Hi everyone,

the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown continues with more new product reveals and inspiration.

Today I'm featuring the adorable Thank My Lucky Stars stamp set. It comes with the cutest bear and bunny images, stars and a tiny crab. I made a Mini Slimline card also using the new Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline STAX Die-namics.

First, I did some watercoloring with Karin Brushmarkers to create a galaxy background in blue, teal and black. I let it dry completely and added white paint splatters with a brush to mimic stars. The largest wonky stitched mini slimline die was used to cut out the panel that I adhered to a 3" x 6" white card base.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating Thank My Lucky Stars Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock strips and I heat embossed it in white. Finally, I alternately adhered the sentiment strips and images across the card.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 5

05.05.2022

Hello everyone,

today I'm back as we're kicking off the countdown for the My Favorite Things May Release. The new products will be available on Tuesday, May 10th at 10 am EDT.

I'm starting off with the wonderful Backyard BBQ stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. I created an outdoor scene on a slimline card to showcase the sweet images as well as the Picnic in the Park Die-namics which is the Free with $60 item this month.

For the background, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (sky: Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass; grass: Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness) leaving the middle of the panel white. I cut it out with the stitched rectangle die included in the Slimline Starter Die-namics set. To create a raised and dimensional sentiment, I cut the MSTN Dad Die-namics out of the top of the background and adhered the panel to a white card base. For the added dimension, I die cut the individual letters twice from white cardstock and stacked them together before inlaying everything back into the negative space. I stamped one of the sentiments to the left using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card. The picnic table and benches were die cut from Kraft cardstock and the tablecoth was created from a piece of plaid patterned paper. Finally, I added some small puffy clouds from the Cloudy with a Chance of Rain Die-namics set to complete my scene.
