MFT Stamps • February Release Countdown Day 4

26.02.2024

Happy new week everyone,

we've reached the final Countdown Day for the MFT February Release that will go live tomorrow at 10 am EST! Check out the MFT Blog for today's Design Team projects.

I created another sweet birthday featuring the SY Greatest Present Stamp & Die Duo (illustrated by Stacey Yacula) and the Diamond Frames Die-namics.

First, I created a regular-sized A2 card base from white cardstock. I cut out a purple patterned paper from the Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad with the largest largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set. The diamond frame was cut twice from Summer Splash Card Stock and the inlaid diamond piece from Sno Cone Card Stock. I adhered them to the center of the card.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, did some Copic coloring and used the matching dies to cut them out. I partially stamped the sentiment onto a Black Licorice Card Stock strip and heat embossed it in white. I cut it out with a narrow fishtail banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set. For a bit of dimension, I popped up the images and sentiment banner with thin foam squares.

MFT Stamps • November Release Spotlight Day 3

17.11.2023

Hello everyone,

it's Day 3 of the My Favorite Things November Release Spotlight and we're still sharing some winter inspiration with the new products.

On today's card I combined the SY WarmWinter Hugs stamp set with the Fanciful Frame STAX Die-namics.

I started off with a white A2 card base and cut a Sno Cone Card Stock panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set.

Next, I created an one-layer-scene with the help of masking. The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic markers. For the sky, I did some faded blending with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink. I cut out the scene with the largest Fanciful Frame die. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and added a small red heart next to it.

MFT Stamps • October Release Spotlight Day 3

03.11.2023

Hello friends,

it's Day 3 of the My Favorite Things October Release Spotlight and we're still sharing some holiday goodness.

I made a card with the wonderful SY Christmas Carols stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

I started off with a white regular sized A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. For the background, I did some stenciling and soft ink blending with Distress Oxides. The snowy hill was done with the Drifts & Hills Stencil. I stamped the snowflakes across the sky using VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them in white.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. The sidewalk was stamped and colored directly onto the panel. For the other images, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

At the bottom, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Finally, I assembled my little scene by adhering the images with glue.

18.08.2023

Happy Friday everyone,

it's always fun to discover the endless possibilites that come with every release! This time I did a monochromatic card with the SY Butterflies and Blooms stamp set by Stacey Yacula.

First, I created a white A2 top-folding card base and trimmed down a Kraft Card Stock panel. I stamped the sentiment, flowers, butterflies and trails in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed everything with clear embossing powder.

To created a stencil, I die cut the Tall Grass Die-namics from masking paper and carefully applied Kraft Premium Dye Ink at the bottom of the panel. I finished the card by adding three matching gems.

14.07.2023

Hi peeps,

Day 3 of the My Favorite Things July Release Review is about to get extra sweet!

Today's birthday card features the Cotton Candy Critters stamp set by Stacey Yacula.

I started off with a white card base slightly bigger than A2 and trimmed down another white cardstock panel. To create some kind of window, I used the mask from the Watercolor Square Stencil. I ink blended a pastel background around it with Distress Oxide Inks (Kitsch Flamingo, Milled Lavender, Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac). I splattered on some water droplets and dabbed them off with a paper towel.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I stamped the sentiment and adhered the images as well as an enamel heart.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 3

06.05.2023

Hi again,

we are halfway to the My Favorite Things May Release Day with another round of product previews and inspiration.

Today's card features the Peaceful Birds stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. This larger 6" x 8" set comes with a birdhouse, greenery and a couple of sweet birdies.

I started off with a white A2 card base and another white cardstock panel in the same size. I cut out a window with the second largest die of the new Stitched Designer Octagon STAX Die-namics set.

The ink blended background was done directly on the front of the card base. I used Tattered Rose and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink to create a soft blend. For a bit of dimension, I popped up the window panel with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I tucked the images inside the octagon window and adhered them with liquid glue and thin foam squares.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a strip of Cement Gray Card Stock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and cut it out with a fishtail banner die from the Money Card Die-namics set. I adhered it with foam tape as well and added an enamel heart to finish off my card.

MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 5

02.03.2023

Hello friends,

today we are kicking off the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. All the new products will be available on Tuesday, March 7th at 10 am EST.

My first card features the sweet Unforgettable Birthday stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. I just love these adorable elephants and mice!

I cut and scored an A2 card base from white cardstock and trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock to the same size. The dreamy background was done with Distress Oxide Inks in pastel colors (Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass). I blended the inks randomly together and splattered on water droplets to lift the color.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. For a bit of dimension, I adhered the images with thin foam tape. I also added the little streamers from the new YUZU Presents and Pupcakes stamp set.

The sentiment fit perfectly in-between the images and was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Hello everyone,

today we are kicking off the My Favorite Things October Release Countdown. We have lots of holiday inspiration to share with you this month. All the new products will be available on Tuesday, October 11th at 10 am EDT.

For my first card, I used the adorable Holiday Hello stamp set by Stacey Yacula and the First Snowfall Stencil.

I started off with creating the ink blended background on an A2 white cardstock panel. After it dried, I went in with the stencil and white pigment ink to create some subtle snowfall. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I adhered the images with liquid glue and foam squares.

Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments in VersaMark Ink onto an Amarena Cherry Card Stock strip. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and attached the strip to the center of the snowfall background.

Hello everyone,

it's the first day of previews for the My Favorite Things September Release which is jam-packed with wonderful Fall and Christmas themed products. The new items will be available on Tuesday, September 13th at 10 am EDT.

For my first card, I used the adorable Christmas Tree Farm stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

First, I started off with an A2 landscape card base and trimmed down one of the pretty Joyful Plaid patterned papers to the same size. For the background of my little winter scene, I double-stamped the new Touch of Texture Background with Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink. I created a snow hill with the help of the Sand and Surf Die-namics and inked the top edge with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I ran through the subtle background and snow hill with a die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1 Die-namics set and adhered both to a Kraft Card Stock mat.

Next, I stamped the images, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I adhered the images on top of the snow hill using liquid glue and thin foam squares. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip. I white heat embossed it and attached the strip above the critters which finishes today's card.

MFT Stamps • June Release Countdown Day 5

02.06.2022

Hi peeps,

today we're kicking off the countdown to the My Favorite Things June Release. All the new products will be available on Tuesday, June 7th at 10 am EDT.

I picked the new Stacey Yacula stamp set Reel-y Great Day for my first card which would be perfect for a man's birthday.

First, I did some ink blending and stenciling to create a little pond scene. Therefore I used Distress Oxide Inks and the previously released Scene Stencil - Rolling Hills. For the water of the pond, I masked off the background and blended on Broken China, Speckled Egg and Tumbled Glass ink. Then I covered the pond with the mask and blended together Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio, Antique Linen, Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness. Finally, I added ink splatters with a paint brush and let it dry.

Next, I used the two little wave dies from the Better Together Die-namics set at the bottom of the pond. I cut out the panel with the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and adhered it to a white A2 card base.

I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating Reel-y Great Day Die-namics to cut everthing out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black fishtail banner and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I finished off the card by adhering the images and sentiment banner using liquid glue.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 5

05.05.2022

Hello everyone,

today I'm back as we're kicking off the countdown for the My Favorite Things May Release. The new products will be available on Tuesday, May 10th at 10 am EDT.

I'm starting off with the wonderful Backyard BBQ stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. I created an outdoor scene on a slimline card to showcase the sweet images as well as the Picnic in the Park Die-namics which is the Free with $60 item this month.

For the background, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (sky: Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass; grass: Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness) leaving the middle of the panel white. I cut it out with the stitched rectangle die included in the Slimline Starter Die-namics set. To create a raised and dimensional sentiment, I cut the MSTN Dad Die-namics out of the top of the background and adhered the panel to a white card base. For the added dimension, I die cut the individual letters twice from white cardstock and stacked them together before inlaying everything back into the negative space. I stamped one of the sentiments to the left using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card. The picnic table and benches were die cut from Kraft cardstock and the tablecoth was created from a piece of plaid patterned paper. Finally, I added some small puffy clouds from the Cloudy with a Chance of Rain Die-namics set to complete my scene.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge July

07.07.2020

Hello crafty friends,

we have a new theme over at the Stempelgarten Challenge – this month it's all about Stencils.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

For my birthday card, I combined the cute My Favorite Things "Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes" stamps illustrated by Stacey Yacula with the fun "Card-Sized Confetti Stencil" set.

I also wanted to play along in the current MFT Color Challenge #144 with these yummy colors:

Although I own the MFT Dye Inks, I decided to do the stenciling with Distress Oxide Inks as they are quite opaque due to their hybrid formula and easy to layer on top of each other. First, I did some faded ink blending with Squeezed Lemonade and MFT Lemon Chiffon Dye Ink. I let it dry completely and sponged Spun Sugar over one of the Confetti stencils. The second layer over the other stencil was done with Picked Raspberry.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and adhered them onto my stenciled background. For my card base and the sentiment, I picked MFT Jellybean Green Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and white heat embossed it. I cut it out with the rounded rectangle die included in the MFT Blueprints 14 Die-namics set.

You will have time until July 31st, 2020 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!
