MFT Stamps • August Release Spotlight Day 3

18.08.2023

Happy Friday everyone,

it's always fun to discover the endless possibilites that come with every release! This time I did a monochromatic card with the SY Butterflies and Blooms stamp set by Stacey Yacula.

First, I created a white A2 top-folding card base and trimmed down a Kraft Card Stock panel. I stamped the sentiment, flowers, butterflies and trails in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed everything with clear embossing powder.

To created a stencil, I die cut the Tall Grass Die-namics from masking paper and carefully applied Kraft Premium Dye Ink at the bottom of the panel. I finished the card by adding three matching gems.

Make sure to visit the MFT YouTube channel for even more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy you day!

Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers Happy Wedding

24.08.2018

Happy Friday everyone,

hubby needed a wedding card for a co-worker and I was glad to finally get to play with the amazing Simon Says Stamp «Beautiful Flowers» stamp set.

This gorgeous floral cluster is huge and I stamped it in VersaMark on «Petal Pink» cardstock by Stampin' Up! and heat embossed it in white. For the first time, I tried some coloring with Polychromos pencils (I only own 3 so far). I wanted to keep it soft and monochrome, so I only added shadows and minimal highlights.

The scripty sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set by Altenew and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I matted the panel onto SU «Gray Granite» cardstock and used the same light pink cardstock for my card base. To embellish the card, I adhered «Ice Cube Jewels» by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

MFT Summer School 2 | Lesson #10 | Monochromatic

23.07.2015

Hello peeps,

Before the My Favorite Things Summer School Session 2 comes to an end, I quickly created another card to join the fun ;o) Unfortuately, I didn't have the time to master all the inspiring lessons.

In Lesson #10 it's all about the Color Theory: Monochromatic.

And here is the card I made:

I really love this beautiful My Favorite Things «Roses All Over Background» stamp. I heat embossed it in white and sponged some ink in a darker hue than the cardstock. I die-cut a circle window and adhered my panel with foam tape. The sentiment is from the MFT «True Friends» stamp set and also white heat embossed. Finally I added two hearts die-cut from fun foam.

I think this card design would work perfectly for a Wedding, too. Will have to keep that in mind for the next time.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
