Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Potted Rose

28.05.2020

Hi everyone,

today's floral card features another gorgeous layering stamp set. The new Potted Rose Stamps can be combined with the Everything's Rosy Stamps and I really like the terracotta pot.

I started off with a white card base which is slightly smaller than the standard A2 size. I created a frame from light grey cardstock by combining the largest of the Stitched Arch Dies with the stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Retro Petals set.

Next, I stamped the roses, leaves and the flower pot with dye inks (find the ink colors below) and the help of a stamp positioning tool. I used the coordinating Potted Rose Dies and Everything's Rosy Dies to cut everything out. For some dimension, I layered the die cuts and used several heights of foam squares to adhere them. The frame was popped up with foam tape as well. Finally, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Love Monkey set onto a black cardstock strip.

Altenew Dye Inks used
Roses: Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Grapevine
Leaves: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen
Terracotta Pot: Sunkissed, Simon Says Stamp Melon, Caramel Toffee

EverydaycraftingCo • Thank You

27.05.2020

Hi crafty friends,

a couple of weeks ago, the owner of EverydaycraftingCo reached out to me asking if I would like to play with the new background dies that can be purchased in her Etsy shop. There are 4 designs available and you can even buy a bundle at a discounted price.

I think these background dies are so versatile and give you many possibilities to create quick and eye-catching cards. For today's card, I used the Thank You background die. It's actually a 3-piece-set which comes with two individual word dies and a rectangle die.

I lined up the word dies on a white cardstock panel and ran it through my die cutting machine. I decided to put patterned paper (Sunny Studio Stamps Gingham Jewel 6x6 Paper) behind the cut out space. The large white letters stand out even more by popping up the die cut with foam tape.

Since there was a bit of room to the left and right of the word 'you', I added these two Copic colored little friends from the sweet Hello Bluebird Besties set. I really love how this clean and simple card turned out!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Grad Cat

21.05.2020

Hello everyone,

today's featured product is the cute Grad Cat Stamps mini set. Now and then, I like to create something different than cards, so I came up with this little backpack made with the Sweet Treat Bag Dies.

I combined some patterned papers from the Dots & Stripes Pastels and the Surprise Party paper packs. For the small pocket, I used the Build-A-Tag #2 Dies. The straps and handle were made from navy ribbon and the bag is closed with a piece of Velcro underneath the flap.

Next, I stamped the cat and book in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut out the images with the coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped onto a white cardstock banner.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Hello Bluebird • Little Things Matter Most

19.05.2020

Hello sweeties,

I really enjoy coloring with my beloved Copics, but sometimes I like to change things up. This time, I decided to color with my new Karin Brushmarkers. For today's card, I combined the adorable Hello Bluebird Meadow Bunnies set with the versatile Oak Tree Scene Die.

First, I did a watercolor wash of purples and pinks to create the background. I die cut the oak tree pieces and did the foliage with brushmarkers. For the tree trunk and grass, I used Distress Oxide Inks. I puzzled all the pieces together and put a white frame around it. Really love how this die helps to create a wonderful scene in no time.

I stamped the bunny and butterflies with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and colored them with Karin Brushmarkers. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a cardstock strip and adhered it as well as the images with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! And don't forget 'Little things matter most'!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Tea-rrific

14.05.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm back with a sweet card featuring the Tea-riffic Stamps mini set. And the teacup and teapot are even cuter with the added little faces.

First, I die cut the Botanical Backdrop frame from Bristol cardstock and did some watercoloring with several green Karin Brushmarkers. I also splattered on tiny dots of paint for a bit more interest.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils. There are coordinating dies available but I fussy cut both images and adhered them with foam tape.

I combined the scripty 'hello' from the Potted Rose set with a punny Tea-riffic sentiment and finished off my card with enamel hearts.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful day!

Hello Bluebird • Bee Happy

13.05.2020

Good evening crafty friends,

the Hello Bluebird Bee Happy stamp set is still one of my all-time favorites! I just can't get enough of these adorable bees. This time I went with a more masculine color scheme.

First, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio on a Bristol cardstock panel. I also added ink splatters with a paint brush.

I trimmed a piece of heavyweight white cardstock to the same size as my card base and cut out a hexagon window (MFT Hexagon STAX Die-namics) slightly at an angle and off the left side. I adhered it over the ink blended background with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the bees and flowers as well as some small accessory images from several stamp sets (books: Tabitha; cup: Strawberry Jam; letter: Autumn Gatherings) and cut everything out with the coordinating dies. I added some highlights with a gelly roll pen and white heat embossed the sentiment on a small strip of black cardstock. To finish off my card, I adhered some matching glitter enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Bee happy!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Tool Time

07.05.2020

Hello everyone,

I admit that I always struggle with masculine cards but look at this fun Tool Time mini stamp set which is just perfect for all male creators in your life.

I started off with an aqua A2 card base and added texture to a teal cardstock panel with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I splattered on some white paint with a brush, let it dry completely and adhered the embossed panel with a piece of fun foam to the card base.

Next, I stamped the tool images as well as the book (Grad Cat set) and the paper roll (Woo Hoo set) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did some coloring with Copic Markers and fussy cut everything out.

I used the Wrap Around Box Dies to create a wooden tool box (to make the handle, I die cut the tag twice and did rotate it for the 2nd cut). I cut it from woodgrain cardstock and sponged the edges with brown ink.

I also die cut a circle from grid patterned paper (Gingham Pastels Paper) and trimmed the left side to offset it on my card. I adhered the tool box with foam squares and tucked the images inside. Finally, I added a sentiment banner and enamel dots to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge May

Hi sweeties,

with a little delay, I'm posting my card for the Stempelgarten Challenge with the new theme Fantasy.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I had so much fun creating this card using the super adorable My Favorite Things "Magical Friends" set illustrated by Birdie Brown/Torico.

I started with the background and blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch. I added water droplets to lift the color and carefully dabbed it off with a paper tissue. Really love how it turned out!

Next, I created a grass border by ink blending Bundled Sage and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink and die cutting it with one of the MFT "Grassy Edges" Die-namics. For a bit of interest, I splattered on some ink with a paint brush.

I stamped the images (the cute baby dragon is included in the MFT Birdie Brown "Magical Dragons" set), colored them with Copics and fussy cut everything out. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

You will have time until May 31st, 2020 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a fantastic day!
