Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Tiki Time

29.07.2021

Hi everyone,

Summer is in full swing and the gorgeous Tiki Time Stamps are just perfect to create a tropical scene with. I adore the hula dancing elephant! I added accessory stamps from two other sets – Fabulous Flamingo (pineapple and watermelon) and Silly Sloths (hibiscus flower and leaves).

First, I ink blended the sunset background with Distress Oxide Inks (Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold) onto Bristol smooth cardstock. For the sand piece, I used Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twigs and trimmed it with one of the stitched hillside borders from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

The word 'Aloha' was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of vellum and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I fussy cut it with scissors leaving a border around the letters. Then I cut tiny strips of foam tape which I hid behind the heat embossed word and adhered it to the background. I also white heat embossed the punny sentiment onto the sand hill. Finally, I assembled the whole scene.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Cupcake Shape Dies

22.07.2021

Hello everyone,

today I'm sharing a fun shaped birthday card made with the Cupcake Shape Dies. Who wouldn't want to receive a big yummy cupcake like this?!

These dies are so easy to work with! First, I cut out the base from white cardstock. The cupcake pieces were cut from Bristol smooth cardstock, Kraft cardstock and Gingham patterned paper (Gingham Pastels 6x6 Paper).

I went with some sort of Vanilla frosting and blended on a bit of Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. I also added tiny ink splatters with a paint brush. Next, I inked the edges of the cake portion die-cut with Frayed Burlap and splattered on lots of ink to create texture. The die for the wrapper piece creates some fine lines which I enhanced with Copic Markers.

To decorate the cupcake wrapper, I stamped the adorable baking fox from the Woodsy Autumn set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I masked off the original pie and replaced it with a little cupcake included in the Party Pups set. I colored the image as well as the cherry die-cut with Copics. I fussy cut the fox and applied a thick layer of Glossy Accents to the red part of the cherry to make it look shiny and dimensional.

I die cut the word 'congrats' from the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies set out of turquoise glitter cardstock and adhered it to the frosting. The birthday sentiment (Sealiously Sweet Stamps) was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock strips and I heat embossed it in white. Finally, I popped up the fox with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a sweet day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Happy Camper

15.07.2021

Hi everyone,

the sweet retro trailer from the Happy Camper set makes me dream of a little summer vacation somewhere in the middle of nature, maybe at a lake with the mountains in the background. So I came up with this little scene where I added images from the Spring Scenes stamp set and Comic Strip Everyday die-cuts.

First, I cut out a window with the largest of the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies from a white woodgrain cardstock panel. I did some Distress Oxide ink blending on smooth Bristol cardstock to create the sky background (Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo) and the grass (Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness) as well. I used the grass border die to trim the top of the green ink blended piece. At the left, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the trees and mountains. Since I don't have the matching die, I fussy cut the trailer with scissors. I adhered the woodgrain panel with foam tape and arranged the scene inside the window.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Outback Critters

08.07.2021

Hello everyone,

instead of creating an Australia themed card with the Outback Critters Stamps, I thought it would be fun to use the sweet kangaroo image for a birthday. I combined it with the balloon bouquet from the Floating By set.

I started off with a lemon yellow A2 card base and cut the Frilly Frames Retro Petals Dies from white heavyweight cardstock. I left all the petal pieces inside of the die-cut and adhered the whole panel to a piece of fun foam. The white-on-white pattern in the background creates a bit of interest without appearing too busy.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the mama kangaroo with her cute baby. For the balloons and strings, I did partial die cutting as well as a little fussy cutting with scissors. I adhered the balloons behind the kangaroo image which I popped up with foam tape.

I cut the word 'happy' included in the Blooming Frame Die set three times from light aqua cardstock. Then I stacked the die-cuts on top of each other to make them more dimensional and sturdy. The word 'birthday' from the Prancing Pegasus stamp set was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a small purple cardstock strip and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, I adhered the sentiment and added two enamel hearts as embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a happy day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Poppy Fields

01.07.2021

Hi everyone,

poppies are some of my favorite flowers, so I was excited to create a card with the Poppy Fields Stamps.

I started with an A2 card base and trimmed the gingham patterned paper from the Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper pack to the same size. I then cut one of the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies from white cardstock and adhered it with foam strips.

Next, I stamped the layered poppies, leaves as well as the tiny ladybug from the Layered Basket set using dye inks (you can find the ink colors below). I used the coordinating dies to cut all the pieces out and arranged them on my card. I added a grass border (Picket Fence Die) at the bottom which I die cut from green grid paper (Gingham Jewel Tones Paper).

I die cut the words 'for you' included in the Gift Card Pocked Die set from black cardstock and double heat embossed them with clear embossing powder for a glossy look. To finish off my card, I adhered three Crystal Clear Jewels.

Dye Inks used:
Poppies: Altenew Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Crimson, Vineyard Berry, Grapevine;
Simon Says Stamp
Stone, Cobblestone
Leaves: Altenew Just Green, Hunter Green
Stems: Altenew Just Green
Ladybug: Altenew Heart Beat

Black details:
VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
