DT Make it Crafty CAS Inspiration | Amelia's Puppy

30.11.2015

Hi everyone,

today it's my turn again to show you another Make it Crafty Clean & Simple inspiration card.

I created a Birthday card using the adorable Amelia's Puppy rubber stamp.

I colored the image with Copics and added some details to her hair with Prismacolor Pencils. For her skirt I did some Paper Piecing and shading with Copics. I also applied a bit of «Diamond» Stickles to the border. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.

The texture on the Kraft cardstock was made with the Taylored Expressions «Cable Knit» embossing folder. I think it gives the card a cozy feeling. The «happy» die (I stacked three die-cuts together) and the «birthday» sentiment which I heat embossed in white are from Simon Says Stamp. Finally, I fussy cut the image leaving a small white border and adhered it with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start to this new week!

Alexandra Renke Fall Birthday Card

27.11.2015

Hello everyone,

we had our first snow this week and Christmas is just around the corner – so this will probably be my last fall themed card for this year ;-)

I created this CAS Birthday card using a beautiful typographic stamp and a scripty die from a German manufacturer called Alexandra Renke. I love these unique products!

The card base (again) was made from Stampin' Up! «Naturals White» cardstock. I stamped the leaf in VersaMark and heat embossed it with «Copper» embossing powder. Then I die-cut the sentiment from a similar copper foil cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Altenew Vintage Flowers/Roses Birthday card

22.11.2015

Good morning,

today I'm showing you a feminine Birthday card. I used the pretty Altenew «Vintage Flowers» and «Vintage Roses» stamps and also their Crisp Dye Inks.

I really love these multi-step stamp sets and the Altenew inks (available in different color hues) which make it so easy to build the layers. After stamping the flowers and leaves I fussy cut them leaving a small white border.

The card base was made from one of my favorite neutral cardstocks: Stampin' Up! «Naturals White» which is sadly retired. I cut another piece of cardstock which is a bit smaller than the card base and stamped the My Favorite Things «Balloon Strings» Background in VersaMark and heat embossed it with «Silver Pearl» embossing powder by WOW!.

On this photo you can see the pearly shine a bit better:

I arranged my flowers and leaves and glued them down. Two of the flowers were popped up with foam tape for more dimension. I stamped the Stampin' Up! sentiment (which means «Congratulations») in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and heat embossed it in Clear.

To finish my card I added three small Pretty Pink Posh «Marshmallow» sequins. I think this card design would also work for a Wedding or Anniversary.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your Sunday!

Lawn Fawn Watercolored Stitched Leaves

20.11.2015

Hello everyone,

I had some leftover watercolor pieces on my craft desk and decided to create something instead of throwing them away. So I grabbed my Lawn Fawn «Stitched Leaves» dies and made this Fall Birthday card.

I love to add some Gold to my projects lately. At my local supermarket I found this sparkly glitter tape which I adhered to my card base made from Stampin' Up! «Naturals White» cardstock. I also sprinkled on some random splatters of Heidi Swapp's golden «Color Shine».

The smaller leaves were popped up with foam tape and I tied a bow with natural jute string. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! (it means «Happy Birthday») and I stamped it in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and heat embossed it in Clear.

I'm entering the Lawnscaping Challenge – «In With The Old».

DT Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #7 | Frenchie Valerie

16.11.2015

Hi peeps,

today I want to share with you the card that I made for the Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge #7 with the theme «Frame It».

Before I move on to my card, I have to admit that I struggle to post it because of the cruel attacks in Paris last Friday. I'm so sad, concerned and heartbroken :-(  My thoughts are with the victims, relatives and French citizens.

So here it is – a (bitter)sweet Birthday card using the adorable Frenchie Valerie Digi Stamp:

It was such a pleasure to color this cutie with Copics and I framed her with the Delicate Ornate Circle Frame Chipboard. The gorgeous patterned papers I used are from My Mind's Eye and they match perfectly. I combined two stamps from Simon Says Stamp and Papertrey Ink to create my own «Sweet Birthday» sentiment which I stamped with Memento «Rich Cocoa» ink.

I went a little overboard with my card (because it's not that CAS anymore) and decorated it with a natural twine bow, some enamel dots and a tiny pink die-cut heart. I also covered the cherry on top of the ice cream with Glossy Accents.

You still have time to enter our «Frame It» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge November

15.11.2015

Happy Sunday,

it's already time for a new theme over at the bastel-traum.ch Challenge: use «Glitter» on your creations.
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
The challenge will run until December 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I made another Christmas card for my stash using the pretty «Hand Drawn Snowflakes» background from Hero Arts.

I went with aqua and turquoise tones. The cardstock is from Bazzill and Stampin' Up!. I stamped the snowflakes in Versamark and heat embossed it with the gorgeous Judikins «Iridescent Sparkle» embossing powder. Love that stuff!

The sentiment from the Hero Arts «Holiday Greetings» stamp set was heat embossed in white. I glued it on a stamped leftover piece of paper and adhered it at an angle with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow ;-)

Hero Arts Christmas Card Trio

10.11.2015

Hello everyone,

today I have something different for you – I created a set of Christmas cards with some gorgeous Hero Arts stamps.

I was inspired by some Nordic or Scandinavian Folk Art designs and made my own pattern using these small stamps from the «Build a Wreath by Lia» and «Scandinavian Holiday by Lia» stamp sets. The tiny hearts which work perfect as space fillers come from the «Peace & Joy» set.

To create this typical look I decided to only have two colors – traditional Red and White. All the images were randomly stamped in Hero Arts «Red Royal» Shadow Ink. I think this design would also look great in Aqua or multiple colors.

On my first card I used the whole background piece, die cut it with a Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Rectangle» die and glued it to my white top folding card base. I also die cut two stitched squares and stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the «Joy To The World» set. I adhered those squares with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

For the second card I stamped another background and die cut a heart (Stampin' Up! «Heart Collection» Framelits) from the center. I created a card base from SU «Riding Hood Red» cardstock and white heat embossed the beautiful scripty sentiment («Peace & Joy» stamp set) where the heart window would be. I also added two little hearts to balance things out. Finally I adhered my stamped panel with foam tape.

Since I still had the die cut heart left from the 2nd card I decided to make a third card with a really simple design. I cut another heart from red cardstock that would be a mat behind the stamped heart. I popped it up with foam tape and stamped the sentiment from the «Holiday Greetings» stamp set directly onto my white card base. I heat embossed it with ZING! «Metallic Red» embossing powder.

Hope you liked my trio of Christmas cards. I'm taking part in the Hero Arts Holiday Cardmaking Challenge.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge November

05.11.2015

Good morning everyone,

today starts the new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Not Square». We are also happy to announce three new DT members! Warm welcome to Elisa, Marlene and Nicole!

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I created this circle card for Christmas. Did you know there are only 7 weeks to go?! EEK! I'll have to hurry ;-)

I love the detailed and intricate designs from Memory Box – here I used the beautiful «Poinsettia Ribbon» die. I cut it once from gold foil cardstock and inlaid the petals which were made from wine red glitter cardboard.

I die-cut my cream cardstock panel with the largest one of the My Favorite Things «Radial Stitched Circle Stax» Die-namics. I'm in love with the fab «Hand Lettered Holiday» stamp set and heat embossed the sentiment in gold.

Then I cut a round card base from Stampin' Up! «Chili» cardstock and embellished my card with matte golden sequins, a red strass sticker  and some tiny die-cut glitter flowers.

You will have time until November 30th, 2015 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

November Pinterest Inspired Challenge

01.11.2015

Happy Sunday everyone,

today I have some exciting news to share! I'm a new Design Team member over at the Pinterest Inspired Challenge!

Emily, the sweet owner of this highly inspiring challenge, contacted me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I'd like to join the PIC DT! Of course I said YES! Just from the beginning back in August, I admired the gorgeous work from the talented DT girls and also the creative challenge participants. I'm thrilled and honored to be a part of this team now!
Thank you so much for having me, Emily!

Now let me tell you quickly what this challenge is all about:
Each month the Design Team members will provide you an inspiring image found on Pinterest. Your project can be created based on colors, patterns, shapes, etc. There's really no limit on how you get inspired. We love to see all your creations! Have fun with it!

This is our beautiful November inspiration:

And here's the card I created:

I was mostly inspired by the overlapping flowers and also incorporated the colors from the inspiration photo. I stamped the Savvy «Outline Posey» a couple of times onto vellum and did some Heat Embossing in gold. Then I fussy cut the flowers out and colored the petals with Copics (Note: I did this on the backside of the flowers). I clustered them and adhered everything on a piece of patterned paper by Basic Grey.

For my sentiment I stacked four die-cut «hello» layers (3x cardstock and 1x gold foiled cardstock, slightly offset) using the Winnie & Walter «In a Word: Hello Cutaway». I embellished my card with some golden sequins.

You can enter your projects until Wednesday, November 25th at 11:55pm EST. For the challenge details and the inspiring work of my lovely team mates please hop over to the PIC blog. I'm looking forward to see your creations!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
