Sunny Studio Stamps • Snail Mail

31.12.2020

Hi everyone,

it's the last day of the year and today's cute Snail Mail mini stamp set is a little pre-release item before the new Spring products will be available on January, 8th.

I did some creative die cutting and came up with a mailbox shaped card using the Stitched Arch Dies as well as some regular circle and rectangle dies. To create a top folding card, I die cut the shape twice from red cardstock. I sponged the edges with red dye ink.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto pink cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. With the help of partial die cutting, I cut out a flap that opens downwards…

… and the adorable snail sitting on a pile of envelopes is revealed. I did some masking to stamp all the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers.

Finally, I stamped and fussy cut two more envelopes and tucked them inside the slit at the top of the mailbox.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you all the best for the new year!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Classy Christmas

24.12.2020

Hello everyone,

today is Christmas Eve and I have the matching card for you, showcasing the beautiful Classy Christmas Stamps.

I started off with a white A2 card base and adhered a navy blue cardstock panel which is slightly smaller. Next, I die cut a thin white frame to use as a decorative design element for my cluster of stamped images.

The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. For the tree branch sprigs I used three tones of green dye inks. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and arranged the images at the bottom of the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Merry Mice set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you all very Merry Christmas!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Winter Scenes

17.12.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing a pastel holiday card using the Winter Scenes set. I love the rows of fir trees and little houses so much!

First, I started with the background by blending together the Distress Oxide Inks Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose, letting the colors fade into white. I added lots of tiny ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. This time I decided to color the trees like they were covered with snow. I used the coordinating die to cut out the scene and layered it on top of my ink blended sky.

I kept the design simple and stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Inside Greetings Christmas set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Finally, I adhered a matching small enamel heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a gorgeous day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Surfing Santa

10.12.2020

Hello everyone,

today's card makes me giggle 😄 It features the Surfing Santa mini stamp set and I just love this cutie in his swim trunks!

Of course I had to create a fun little ocean scene using the palm tree and sandy island from the Tropical Scenes set. For the background, I picked the waves patterned paper from the Summer Splash Paper pack. I added some light bulbs (Gleeful Reindeer Stamps) to the palm tree and a small gift (North Pole Stamps) next to Santa. The clouds are included in the Comic Strip Everyday Dies set.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and added some details with a white gelly roll pen. To frame my scene, I die cut a window from white cardstock using the largest of the Stitched Arch Dies. I trimmed off the sides a bit and adhered the striped paper from the Holiday Cheer Paper pack behind it.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto blue cardstock. I white heat embossed it and used a speech bubble die from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies set. Finally, I popped up the arch frame panel as well as some of the images with foam tape. The rest was adhered flat with liquid glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having an awesome day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Quatrefoil Dies

03.12.2020

Hi everyone,

today's festive holiday card showcases the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies which are perfect for a decorative background.

I used both dies (the stitched rectangle and the quatrefoil pattern) together and cut it from heavyweight white cardstock. I adhered a piece of warm gold glitter cardstock to my A2 card base and glued the quatrefoil die-cut on top. Some of the white inside pieces were inlaid back into the negative spaces.

Next, I die cut the flowers from the Window Quad Circle Dies set (and a mini flower which was a free with purchase die) to create three layered poinsettias. To keep the design simple, I only added a banner with a white heat embossed sentiment from the Inside Greetings Christmas stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Christmas Cookies

26.11.2020

Hello everyone,

today I'm introducing you to this year's Black Friday exclusive mini stamp set. It's called Christmas Cookies and part of the ongoing promo (find all details in the graphic below).

Of course I had to turn these cuties into gingerbread cookies and build them a little gingerbread house. For that I used the Sweet Treat Bag Dies along with the Sweet Treat House Add-on Dies.

I die cut the bag base from brown cardstock, inked the edges and added ink splatters with a paint brush. The roof was cut from cream cardstock and I applied sparkly Crystal Stickles to the scalloped edges. It also creates the flap to close the bag and I sticked a small piece of Velcro underneath to keep it shut. I decorated the door with a fir wreath to create a festive look. I thought the pink die-cut borders (Heartstrings Border Dies and Slimline Basic Border Dies) would make perfect little decor elements, too.

Next, I stamped the gingerbread cookies in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and adhered them with foam tape. I stamped the heart twice in VersaMark Ink and did some heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Finally, I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a pink cardstock banner and popped it up with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a sweet day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Window Quad Dies

19.11.2020

Hi everyone,

I'm showcasing the Window Quad Square Dies today which create a grid of stitched cutouts – just perfect to place sweet images inside. I picked some of my favorite holiday and winter themed critters from four different stamp sets.

I started with trimming the snowflake patterned paper from the Holiday Cheer Paper pack with the stitched rectangle die included in the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. Next, I die cut the square window grid, adhered colorful paper squares (Very Merry Paper) behind the openings and popped up the whole thing with foam tape.

I stamped the images (Alpaca Holiday, Gleeful Reindeer, Foxy Christmas, Harvest Mice) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some Copic coloring. I fussy cut them out but of course there are coordinating dies available.

The lovely sentiment from the Inside Greetings Holiday set was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and used a banner die (Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies) to create a stitched and rounded rectangle. Finally, I adhered the sentiment and images with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Sledding Critters

12.11.2020

Hello everyone,

today I'm back with another holiday card featuring the Sledding Critters – love how they are piled up with some gifts, taking a sleigh ride through the snow. I created a card which is taller in size but not quite in the usual slimline format – it measures 4 5/16" x 7".

For the background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio. To add some texture, I splattered on ink and white paint with a brush.

I stamped the Sledding Critters and the fir tree border from the Winter Scenes set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Next, I stamped one of the large sentiments from the Season's Greetings set in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed it with WOW! Royal Crush Embossing Glitter. The sparkle is absolutely gorgeous! I cut it out with the matching Season's Greetings Word Die and also added an additional layer cut from white fun foam to the back to make it dimensional.

To complete the sentiment, I white heat embossed the word 'Holiday' onto a small cardstock strip which I popped up with foam tape. I embellished the card with white snowflakes (Snowflake Circle Frame Die) and adhered Iridescent Pearls to their centers.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful day!

06.11.2020

Good evening peeps,

hope you're all doing well! We have a new theme over at the Stempelgarten Challenge and this month it's all about Stars.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

It's obvious that I have a thing for penguins 😉 This cute fellow is from the new My Favorite Things "Warm Hugs and Frosty Kisses" stamp set.

For the night sky, I did some blending with the Distress Oxide Inks Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet. I used the MFT "Starry Circle" Die-namics to add the star pattern to the background and splattered on white paint with a brush. I also cut out the stitched circle window from white cardstock.

Next, I stamped the penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, did some Copic coloring and fussy cut it out with scissors and a craft knife. I adhered the image with foam tape and stamped the sentiment from the MFT "Stars Above" set with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

You will have time until November 30th, 2020 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Penguin Pals

05.11.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing a fun winter card made with the adorable Penguin Pals Stamps. Not only can these cuties be used for playful holiday cards but also for birthdays.

I decided to create a 5"x5" square card and did an ink blended background with Distress Oxides. The ink colors I used are Dried Marigold, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot. I let it dry completely and added lots of white paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut two snow hills using the stitched border dies from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set. I trimmed them down, inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and layered them on top of each other.

To decorate my scene, I picked a fir tree and igloo (Winter Scene) as well as some gifts (North Pole and Gleeful Reindeer). I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a banner and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. All the images were adhered with liquid adhesive. I finished off the card with an enamel heart that I put between the two bottom penguins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Victorian Christmas

29.10.2020

Hello everyone,

I'm slowly building up my stash of holiday cards and created this one with the Victorian Christmas mini stamp set.

This darling house which is decorated for the holidays can be used with the older Christmas Home Stamps. Since I don't own this set, I used the City Street Stamps (car, lamp post and dog) instead to build my little winter scene.

For the night background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I let it dry and sprinkled on white paint with a brush. Next, I die cut a snow hill using the stitched border from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set. The sentiment was stamped in Barn Door Distress Oxide Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I picked two tree images from other stamp sets (Winter Scenes and Scenic Route) and stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did some Copic coloring and cut out the images with the matching dies or with my scissors.

Finally, I assembled my card using liquid glue and foam adhesive.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Retro Ornaments

22.10.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm featuring the Retro Ornaments Stamps from another great layering stamp set. I tried to use it in a more modern way with a different color scheme. I really like non-traditional colors like pink and turquoise for Christmas.

I started off with a card base that measures 4.5" x 5.75" and also cut an extra white cardstock panel to the same size. To create a frame, I used the stitched die from the Frilly Frames Herringbone Die set. I covered the front of the card with one of the Subtle Grey Tones papers.

Next, I stamped the layered ornaments with dye inks (you can find the colors listed below). For the hanger thingies at the top, I did some heat embossing with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the ornaments.

Of course, I needed something to attach them to, so I stamped a couple of pine tree sprigs from the Classy Christmas set in green inks mixing the shades directly on the stamp. I cut them out with the matching dies and arranged them to a cluster that stretches over the top of the card.

I attached shiny aqua strings to the ornaments and adhered them to the card background. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Surfing Santa set with Liquid Platinum as well. For some dimension, I popped up the sprigs and the white frame with foam tape. To finish off my card, I added two mirrored stars as embellishments.

Altenew Dye Inks used
pink ornament: Pinkalicious, Rubellite
turquoise ornament: Dew Drop, Aqualicious, Teal Cave
patterned ornament: Cotton Candy, Ruby Red, Galactic Stream
pine tree sprigs: Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a fabulous day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • North Pole

15.10.2020

Hello everyone,

today I have a clean and simple holiday card for you using the North Pole Stamps. Mrs. Claus and Santa are just the cutest!

For the background, I picked a striped paper from the Holiday Cheer Paper pack and trimmed it down with the stitched rectangle die included in the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. I also die cut a circle from white cardstock and masked off the upper two thirds. To create the ground, I blended on Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, did some Copic coloring and cut them out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink below the images which I adhered with liquid glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Holy Night

08.10.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing a card made with the sweet nativity stamp set called Holy Night. I especially adore the little baby Jesus and the cute animals!

I started with creating the snowy night sky background by blending together the Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Pine Needles and a tiny bit of Black Soot. I let it dry and added white paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut two snow hills using the stitched border dies from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set. I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass ink and trimmed them down to layer on top of each other.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Finally, I assembled my nativity scene by adhering the images and adding two small star sequins (Rainbow Star Confetti).

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge October

06.10.2020

Boo everyone,

today I'm sharing my spooky cute card for the current Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme Halloween.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

Since I don't own that many Halloween stamps, I combined the Lawn Fawn sets "Monster Mash" and "Spooktacular" to create this fun scene. The tiny witch hat is from the "Holiday Party Animal" set.

For the dramatic background, I did some stenciling with the My Favorite Things "Cloud" stencil and the Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I added a couple of small ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I die cut the grass border from the Sunny Studio Stamps "Comic Strip Everyday Dies" set from MFT "Gravel Grey" cardstock. The two Sunny Studio Stamps "Rustic Winter" birch trees were die cut from black cardstock. I also cut out a window from a white cardstock panel using the largest of the Sunny Studio Stamps "Stitched Semi-Circle Dies". To add the stitched detail to the outside edge as well, I used one of the MFT "A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax 1" Die-namics.

I stamped my images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. As a little accent, I added a white die cut heart next to the sentiment.

Finally, I assembled my card by adhering all the images and die-cuts with liquid glue. I really like how the window opening frames the scene perfectly.

You will have time until October 31st, 2020 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Good night!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Bountiful Autumn

01.10.2020

Hello everyone,

it has cooled down quite a bit and fall is approaching. Today I'm sharing a card made with the Bountiful Autumn Stamps.

I started off with a Kraft card base and picked four colors of cardstock to create a striped background. I cut several strips (1 inch and 1/2 inch wide) from each color and adhered them at an angle to a piece of copy paper. I trimmed off the excess and die cut the panel with the stitched rectangle die included in the Frilly Frames Retro Petal Dies set.

I stamped the turkey, fruits, vegetables and leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Next, I die cut a circle from heavyweight vellum and stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder which is perfect for fall. I arranged all the images at the bottom half of the vellum circle and adhered them with liquid glue. I also hid some adhesive behind the vellum. Finally, I added three glitter enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a gorgeous day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Scaredy Cat

24.09.2020

Hi everyone,

today's featured product is the Scaredy Cat mini set which is perfect for your extra cute Halloween projects.

I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed the purple patterned paper from the Classic Sunburst Paper pack using the stitched rectangle die included in the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. I also cut out a window with a stitched circle die.

For the background, I die cut the cloud border from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set out of white cardstock to create my own stencil. I carefully brushed on Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink over the stencil and added lots of tiny ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I die cut the grassy border (also part of the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set) from dark grey cardstock. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, did some Copic coloring and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered the grass and stars with liquid glue. Finally, I popped up the patterned paper panel and the kitty with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope to see you again next week!

MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar • Clean & Simple Genius

20.09.2020

Hi again,

so glad I was able to get another card done for the MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar Contest 😅

Here is my card for the Clean & Simple Genius category. I love CAS designs but to be honest I find them not easy to make. I paired this sweet gnome girl from the Birdie Brown Hanging with My Gnomies set with a pretty Mother's Day Bouquet floral image.

I started off with creating a stenciled background using the Oval Extraordinaire Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac.

Next, I stamped the images (I did the floral arch twice because it fits the oval perfectly) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics. I cut out the flowers with the coordinating dies and did some fussy cutting for the gnome girl.

The sentiment (From the Heart set) was stamped in VersaMark Ink and I heat embossed it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I trimmed the stenciled panel with the second largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 and matted it with Coral Crush Prestige Cardstock. On my A2 card base I adhered the beautiful plaid pattern from the Spring Whimsy 6x6 Paper Pad.

Finally, I assembled my card by adhering everything with liquid glue. I made sure not to add anything else to really keep it clean and simple.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Good luck to everyone!

MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar • Coloring Virtuoso

Good morning peeps,

The MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar Contest is almost over but I really wanted to join the fun this year. This is my entry for the Coloring Virtuoso category.

I created an underwater scene by combining the cute Best Fins stamp set with a stenciled Distress Oxides background.

For the first ink layer, I blended Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire onto a Bristol smooth cardstock panel. I let the water fade towards the bottom where I applied Antique Linen for the sand.

Next, I positioned the Ray of Light stencil over the panel and sponged the same blue ink colors through it. I tried to create a transition between the water and the sand where I added some water reflections with the Perfect Pool Water stencil and another layer of Antique Linen and a small amount of Frayed Burlap. To create some texture, I sprinkled water droplets over the blue area to lift the color and dabbed them off with a paper towel. Over the sand, I splattered some diluted ink with a small paint brush.

Now I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with my beloved Copics. Since I don't own the dies, I fussy cut everything out with scissors. I adhered the images to my card with foam tape and liquid glue.

The rocks were cut with the Under The Sea Die-namics and I inked them with Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock with VersaMark Ink, white heat embossed it and die cut it with one of the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

Finally, I adhered a couple of clear enamel dots to mimic some bubbles. I enjoyed creating and coloring this underwater scene so much! There are so many stunning entries in this category and I'm amazed by the talent out there!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Harvest Mice

17.09.2020

Hello everyone,

today I'm back with another colorful fall card using the sweet Harvest Mice Stamps. I think this cute set is a must-have!

The gorgeous paper which I cropped on the right side and used as my background is from the Colorful Autumn Papers pack. I built my little scene inside of the circle by combining the mouse with the wagon and small accessories.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. To cut everything out, I used the coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink above the images which I adhered with liquid glue and foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day!
