Hi everyone,
today I'm over at the Make it Crafty Store Blog to share another Clean & Simple inspiration card.
This time I used one of the Chipboard Quote Blocks. I thought the Wish Upon A Star Chipboard was just perfect for a night sky scene.
I
created my background by sponging some Distress Inks («Cracked Pistachio», «Peacock Feathers», «Faded Jeans», «Chipped Sapphire» and «Black Soot») together. I
sprinkled on some water droplets and let it completely dry before adding
some white dots to mimic my stars.
The quote block and the two stars (from the Shooting Stars Elements Chipboard Set) were covered with two layers of white embossing powder.
At the bottom of my card I put on a My Favorite Things «Skyline Border» die-cut made from black cardstock.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi everyone,
it's time again for our monthly «Same but different» challenge. Do you want to know more about this challenge? Please click HERE.
This time we used the «Swallowtail» stamp set from Stampin' Up!:
And here is my take on this gorgeous and huge butterfly stamp:
It's no secret that I love butterflies but this stamp is really one of my favorites! This time I did some Watercolor Stamping with Distress Inks («Cracked Pistachio», «Peacock Feathers» and «Seedless Preserves»). I inked up my stamp with these three beautiful colors and spritzed water on it with a Mini Mister from Ranger. I didn't add too much water because I wanted to keep the details of this image. I also did some tiny random ink splatters by flipping my paint brush. The German sentiment (which means «Thank You») is also from SU and I heat embossed it with Ranger's «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.
If you have the same stamp set and get inspired by our challenge, feel free to play it with us! Leave a direct link to your project in the comment field below (No back links, please! It will be funnier to see new creations!). You can also upload your cards to our Same but different challenge Flickr gallery!
Now hop over to Francine to see her awesome creation.
We are taking a summer break and be back again in fall.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi everyone,
a couple of days ago, I posted a sneak peek of my DT card for the current Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge #2 which focuses on «Masking».
I created a scene using one of three brand new red rubber stamp sets – this is Make a Wish Asha.
At first I stamped Asha in a light brown ink (Memento «Desert Sand») because I wanted to do some No-line Coloring with my Copics. I stamped her again on masking paper. Then I fussy cut my mask and adhered it over my stamped image to make her stand in front of the grass/flower image. It also protects her when I create my sky background.
Therefore, I also masked off the grass and three clouds and then carefully applied some blue ink (Simon Says Stamp «Sea Glass» and «Audrey Blue») using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool. After removing the masks I stamped the cloud outlines for more definition and added the sweet sentiment which is also included in the set.
You still have time to enter the «Masking» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Good morning everyone,
today I want to share with you my DT card for the latest bastel-traum.ch Challenge – this month's theme is «Birthday». That's an easy one – isn't it?
The challenge will run until July 15th, 8:55 am CET.
I finally got around to use Altenew's beautiful «Vintage Roses» together with my MISTI.
These multi-step stamp sets are really great although it takes a bit of practise to line them up correctly. The MISTI is really helpful for this. I used inks from WPlus9 («Bloomsberry» and «Cockleshell») and Memento («Lavender» and «Elderberry») for my purple roses. I did some masking to create my clusters. For the leaves I tried the brand new Altenew Crisp Dye Inks («Evergreen», «Forest Glades» and «Frayed Leaf»). I LOVE them and can't wait til they release even more colors ;o)
To create a bit of dimension I fussy cut and popped up two additional roses. The sentiment which I stamped with Versafine «Onyx Black» is from another Altenew stamp set called «Label Love». My regular visitors know that I like to add a couple of sequins to finish my project.

Hello again,
if you're looking for my Stempelgarten challenge post, please click here.
The inspiring Online Card Class Mask-erade has already come to an end. Nevertheless I wanted to share with you the card I made for Day 1. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to participate with more cards, but I'm convinced you'll see me using these awesome techniques in the future.
Laura Bassen showed how to create fun geometric patterns using the «Ink blending with Masks» technique.
And this is the card I made:
I cut out a triangle from a sheet of acetate and used the negative as a mask. With my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp inks I created a random background by letting the triangles overlap.
I also did some «Camouflage Die-Cutting» with the Mama Elephant's «Happy Script» die by stacking four layers of die-cuts together. The tiny «birthday!» text is from the SSS «Sketchy Banner Greetings» stamp set. To finish my card I added some sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a sunny weekend!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge June
Good morning peeps,
Today starts the new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Flowers».
I really stamped my heart out on this card. Flowers + Stripes + Inks = Pure Joy!
My inspiration came from this beautiful card by MFT DT member Julie Dinn. I really love the color scheme and her arrangement of flowers.
I used some fabulous stamps, inks and a die from My Favorite Things. I combined the «Modern Blooms» with some smaller images from the «Desert Bouquet» stamp set. These flower building sets are so much fun! The handwritten sentiment and hearts are from the «True Friends» stamp set and I stamped them in Versafine «Onyx Black».
For the first time I tried the MFT Dye Inks. I used «Peach Bellini», «Coral Crush» and «Persimmon». The warm grey inks are from Simon Says Stamp: «Fossil» and «Cobblestone».
The border die is from the «Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics» set. For the background I used the Impression Obsession «Thick Stripes» Cover-a-Card stamp.
This challenge will run until June 30th, 2015 and you can win a voucher with a value of CHF 20.– for the Stempelgarten Online Shop.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!
