Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Teacher Appreciation

27.05.2021

Hello everyone,

the school year is coming to an end in a few weeks and I love the idea of creating Thank You cards for teachers, especially during this pandemic. The Teacher Appreciation set is full of wonderful sentiments which will work for other occasions and people as well. I combined it with the Color My World Stamps, one of the cute Beach Buddies and the gorgeous Chloe Alphabet Dies.

I started off with a light aqua A2 card base and die cut a mat from white cardstock using the stitched rectangle included in the Frilly Frames Retro Petals Die set. I stamped five colored pencils using dye inks (you can find the ink colors below) and cut them out with the coordinating die.

With the help of masking, I gave the little bunny some glasses. I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some coloring with Copic Markers. I cut him out with the matching die.

Next, I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the card with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it in silver. I spelled out the word 'thanks' by die cutting the individual letters from shiny rainbow mirror cardstock. I adhered them over the heat embossed sentiment and added a couple of silver paperclips below.

Finally, I popped up the colored pencils and the bunny with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

Dye Inks used for all pencils:
Wood: MFT In the Buff and Biscotti, Altenew Caramel Toffee
Metal Piece: SSS Fog, Lawn Fawn Manatee
Eraser: Altenew Cotton Candy and Coral Berry

Pencils (Altenew Dye Inks):
Purple: Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris
Pink: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite
Yellow: Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Sunkissed
Green: Bamboo, Parrot, Olive
Aqua: Dew Drop, Aqualicious, Teal Cave

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Stitched Rectangle Dies

20.05.2021

Hi everyone,

I really like to use dies with stitching details, so I think the Stitched Rectangle Dies set is a must-have. I combined them with some sweet Outback Critters Stamps.

First, I created an A2 card base from teal cardstock. Then I die cut the rectangle mats from three shades of turquoise/aqua cardstock and layered them on top of each other. I also die cut a little hill from Kraft cardstock with one of the Slimline Nature Borders Dies. I ran it through with the smallest stitched rectangle die as well for a more finished look.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies. With the help of partial die cutting I shortened the stitched double fishtail banner to fit my punny birthday sentiment which I stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed in white. Finally, I adhered the images and sentiment banner with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Happy Hamsters

13.05.2021

Hello everyone,

it's no secret that I really love creating cards with cute critters and today I'm showcasing the Happy Hamsters Stamps.

I started off with a light aqua A2 card base and trimmed down the yellow stars patterned paper from the Rainbow Bright Paper pack. For the top part, I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink in circular motions on a Bristol cardstock panel. I adhered both pieces to the card base and added a thin grey paper strip.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies and used liquid glue as well as foam tape to adhere them. Finally, I stamped the motion lines and punny sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Gift Card Pocket Die

06.05.2021

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing a colorful summer-themed card with a special feature. Instead of hiding the gift card at the inside of the card, I incorporated the Gift Card Pocket Die into the front card design.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down the striped paper from the Summer Splash Paper pack to the same size. I cut the medium Stitched Rectangle Die from ocean blue cardstock and also created a little wave border for the bottom using one of the Catch A Wave Dies

Next, I die cut the gift card pocket out of pink shell patterned paper, folded the flaps backwards and adhered it to the blue rectangle panel. I decorated the gift card pocket with some sweet Beach Buddies Stamps which I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to out the images.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it in white. The scripty word 'Summer' (which I fussy cut) and the edge of the wave border were heat embossed with sparkly WOW! The Real Teal embossing glitter.

Finally, I assembled my card using liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and added three Crystal Clear Jewels that almost look like water droplets.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day!
