MFT Stamps • October Release Day

31.10.2023

Hi crafty friends,

the fab My Favorite Things October Release is now available for purchase! Please check out the MFT Blog for today's inspiring DT projects.

I had so much fun creating this card with the adorable JB Kitchen Cuties stamp set! And I love the punny sentiment ;-)

First, I created a card base from white cardstock and trimmed down one of the Diagonal Gingham Papers to the same size. On another white cardstock panel I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides. For the subtle tile background, I used the Grid Stencil and Tumbled Glass ink. The floor was done with Lost Shadow ink. I centered and adhered the panel onto the card front.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. After adhering the images, I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and added a little red heart die-cut below.

Happy Monday everyone,

get ready for the holiday season with the new festive products from the My Favorite Things October Release. Please hop over to the MFT Blog to see the previews for what will be available tomorrow at 10 am EDT.

On my first card, I combined the sweet Christmas Party Dinos stamp set with brand new patterned papers.

First, I created an A2 landscape card base from white cardstock. I trimmed down the light aqua paper from the Colorful Christmas Text Paper Pad to be slightly smaller. Next, I cut a pretty Holiday Plaid Paper with a stitched rectangle die and adhered the papers onto the card base.

For my little winter scene, I cut out some cardstock with one of the Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics. I did some soft ink blending with Distress Oxides (Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass). The snowy hill was done with the Drifts & Hills Stencil. I stamped the snowflakes in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink and the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and assembled the scene.

MFT Stamps • October Cancer Awareness Release Spotlight

25.10.2023

Hello sweet friends,

the special My Favorite Things Cancer Awareness Release went live yesterday. As terrible this disease is there should always be hope! And with these new products you can show up for a loved one battling.

For today's Spotlight card, I combined the Full Support Die-namics, another of the JB Bee Strong cuties and one of the Breast Wishes sentiments.

I started off with an A2 card base made from Summer Splash Card Stock. With the largest of the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, I cut out a white cardstock panel. I did some circular ink blending at the top half using Distress Oxide Inks (Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass).

Next, I die cut the bra from a piece of Poppin' Polka Dots Paper and a second time from white cardstock to make it more sturdy. I did some light shading with Copics and die cut a small bow (included in the Gingerbread House Die-namics set) from Tropical Teal Card Stock. I adhered it over the ink blended background and stamped the sentiment below using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

I stamped the bee in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored it with Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image which I popped up with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • October Cancer Awareness Release Day

24.10.2023

Hi peeps,

today a very special release is going live in the My Favorite Things store. While October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, this selection of products will provide encouragement and support regarding other illnesses and tough times.

On my card I'm featuring the lovely JB Bee Strong stamp set. I paired a cute couple of bees with the older Hearts Entwined Die-namics.

First, I created a standard sized A2 card base from white cardstock. In the background, I did some oval ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Saltwater Taffy and Kitsch Flamingo). I also added some splatters with Picked Raspberry ink and white paint. I cut the entwined hearts die from a pink and red  Fun Fall Color Blends Paper.

Next, I stamped the bees in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed in white. Finally, I popped up the image and sentiment with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit

10.10.2023

Hello friends,

the gorgeous Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit is now available for purchase. The price for this coordinated collection of products is 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

I again combined the Gingerbread House Die-namics with one of the Gingerbread Greetings. This time, I used the cute gingerbread people and sweet treats to created a love themed Christmas card.

I started off with a white A2 top-folding card base. To create the heart shape, I actually cut out a mask with a die from the Box of Chocolates Die-namics set and used the negative for blending on Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock, added shading with Distress Oxide Inks and grey Copics. I assembled everything and arranged the treats around the heart to build some kind of frame. I adhered the gingerbread couple in the center of the heart and stamped the sentiment below in Amarena Cherry Premium Dye Ink.

MFT Stamps • Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit • Preview

09.10.2023

Hi everyone,

today we're introducing the new Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit that will be available tomorrow at 10 am EDT.

This kit comes with the awesome Gingerbread House Die-namics and the Gingerbread Greetings sentiment stamp set.

Here is the holiday card that I came up with:

First, I cut and scored a card base from white cardstock. I trimmed down another smaller white cardstock panel measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". I masked off the ground and did the fading ink blended background with Distress Oxides (Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio). I switched the mask and blended on Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped on off the sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and set the panel off to dry.

Next, I die cut the parts for the gingerbread house from a patterned paper that is included in the MSTN Sand, Surf, & Sky Paper Pad. I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Ink. The scalloped trimmings for the roofs and chimney were cut from white cardstock and I added Nuvo Glimmer Paste to them for some sparkle. The other house parts and sweets were die cut from white (I applied some light shading with Distress Oxides) and colored cardstock (Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, Field Day, Sno Cone and Milk Chocolate).

Finally, I assembled the card by adhering all the die-cuts to the ink blended panel and added a bit of Crystal Stickles to the lollipops.

MFT Stamps • October Jenoblade Release Day

03.10.2023

Hi lovely friends,

I'm so happy that My Favorite Things is having another Special Jenoblade Release this month. And the best is that all the new products are already available now!

I created a colorful Fall scene with the adorable JB Treehouse Hugs stamp set, JB Treehouse Die-namics, JB Treetop Die-namics as well as the Fun Fall Color Blends Paper Pad.

First, I created an A2 card base. The papers with the gorgeous blends in autumn hues are so easy to work with! I picked several blends and used them for the background, the treetops and the grass. The other parts of the tree and the small accessories were die cut from colored cardstock (Kraft, Milk Chocolate, Tropical Teal, Cement Grey, Jalapeño Popper, Wild Cherry and Smooth White). I also added some shading with Distress Oxide Inks.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering all the die cuts with liquid glue and thin foam tape for a bit of dimension.
