Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Cheerful Daisies

27.02.2020

Hi everyone,

I can't wait for Spring to finally arrive and I'm looking forward to all the blooms and fresh colors popping up everywhere. With this in mind, I created today's card featuring the Sunny Studio Stamps  Cheerful Daisies.

First, I created a watercolor background with Nuvo Shimmer Powders (yellow: Solar Flare, pink: Cherry Bomb). I let it dry completely and stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed the word 'happy' with gold embossing powder and did the word 'Spring' in bright pink. I adhered the panel to a yellow A2 card base.

Next, I stamped the daisies in light grey (to make them look like they'd be white) and the centers in yellow. The leaves were stamped with three shades of green (find all the ink colors listed below). I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I adhered the leaves and large flower with liquid glue and popped up the two other daisies with foam tape. To finish off my card, I added some Rainbow Pearls.

Dye Inks used
Daisies: Simon Says Stamp Fog; Altenew Buttercream, Mango Smoothie and Warm Sunshine
Leaves: Altenew Bamboo, Parrot and Olive

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

SugarPea Designs • Guest Design #4

24.02.2020

Hello crafty friends,

today's post is bittersweet, as I'm sharing my last guest designer card for SugarPea Designs. It has been such a pleasure to create with their adorable products! Thank you so much for having me!

I made a fun card with an oldie but goodie stamp set called Everyday is Christmas. These farm critters just crack me up, especially the french hen with the glass of vine ;-)

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. I fussy cut them out with scissors leaving a small white border.

I thought that the Countryside Charm Patterned Papers would go perfectly with the animals. I also picked the blue grid paper from the Sugar & Spice Patterned Paper Collection. I cut three windows with a circle die, placed the patterned papers behind the openings and adhered the panel with foam tape on a kraft card base.

The Everyday Sentiments are really versatile and great for so many occasions! I white heat embossed three of them onto black cardstock and cut them out with the SugarCut Sentiment Strips dies. Finally, I added little red hearts which I cut out with the die that is included in the SugarCut You're My Type set.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed my guest designer projects!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Chickie Baby

20.02.2020

Hello everyone,

today the spotlight is on the Sunny Studio Stamps Chickie Baby Stamps. Aren't they the cutest?!

For the Distress Oxide Ink background, I blended together Shaded Lilac, Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough. I also added water droplets and ink splatters.

I stamped the chickens, eggs and little accessories in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some Copic coloring. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

To fit the sentiment inside one of the Banner Basics Stamps, I slightly curved it. I did a bit of shading with grey Copics and used the matching die to cut it out.

I arranged the chickens in a row and placed the banner above them. To finish off my card, I adhered Pink & Purple Heart Confetti clay embellishments and sparkling clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a lovely day!

SugarPea Designs • Guest Design #3

17.02.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing my third guest designer card for SugarPea Designs. This time I'm focusing on die cutting and patterned paper instead of the usual stamping and coloring.

I've been dreaming of an aqua typewriter for a long time – that's why I adore the SugarCut You're My Type die set. It creates the cutest little typewriter and the clever design allows you to insert a piece of paper into the slit. I love the thought of typing a sweet message and send it to a friend – just like in the good old days.

I started with a white top-folding A2 card base. For my background, I picked the beautiful floral paper from the Sugar & Spice Patterned Paper Collection. I also cut down the striped paper and adhered the strip on the left side.

For the typewriter, I used cardstock scraps in white, grey and turquoise – it was so much fun to put everything together, even the tiny keys ;-) I adhered the typewriter with foam tape and stamped the sentiments from the matching You're My Type set in VersaFine Onyx Black. I inserted one "letter" into the typewriter and placed the other on the left hand side. Finally, I die cut three hearts from pink and red cardstock as little embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope to see you again next Monday for my final project!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Border Dies

13.02.2020

Hello everyone,

I'm sharing a new inspiration card on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today. I created a floral birthday card and incorporated the Eyelet Lace Border Dies into the clean and simple design.

I started off with a yellow A2 card base and cut a white cardstock panel to be slightly smaller. I dry embossed the daisy border three times in the center. It's hard to see in the photo but it adds a nice texture.

Next, I die cut the two other borders – once from navy cardstock and once from vellum. I cut out a rectangle of yellow striped patterned paper (Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper) and adhered the border die-cuts at the bottom as a layered accent.

I stamped the beautiful flower and some leaves from the Pink Peonies set with navy dye ink. For a change, I left the images uncolored and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The birthday sentiment from the Floating By set was stamped in VersaMark Ink and I white heat embossed it. To finish off my card, I adhered a couple of enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

SugarPea Designs • Guest Design #2

10.02.2020

Happy Monday!

today I'm back with my second post as a guest designer for SugarPea Designs. I fell in love with the adorable Gnome For Christmas set the moment I saw it. You can easily use it for non-holiday projects, too. I came up with this birthday card.

I started off with a turquoise A2 card base and cut a mask from masking paper using a circle die. For my planned partial stenciling, I adhered the negative cut-out over a white cardstock panel. I placed the Geo Snowflake Stencil over the circle opening of my masked off cardstock and secured it with washi tape. I blended the Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon through the stencil and let it dry. To add some interest, I carefully applied a thin layer of translucent embossing paste over it. Love the subtle shine and dimension of the stenciled circle.

Next, I stamped one of the gnomes and combined the gift with a little birdie from the Hey Summer set. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out with scissors leaving a small white border. I added white dots with a gelly roll pen and for a bit of texture I used grey Prismacolor pencils on the gnome's beard.

I combined two of the Everyday Sentiments and stamped them onto a black cardstock strip with VersaMark ink. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, I popped up the images and sentiment strip with foam tape and adhered the whole design with a piece of fun foam to my card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay tuned for next week's project!

Hello Bluebird • Unicorn Tales • Magical Birthday

09.02.2020

Hi sweet friends,

I love to create dreamy cards and that's a wonderful occasion to use the cute Hello Bluebird  Unicorn Tales set again.

I inked up the little jumping unicorn and colored it with Copics. I used the coordinating die to cut it out. For the sky background, I did some soft ink blending with the Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender. The clouds and rainbow are cut with the After The Rain Scene Die from white and colored cardstock.

Next, I cut the Magical Sparkle Words Die from silver glitter cardstock and white heat embossed the sentiments from the Sparkles Script stamp set onto black cardstock strips. I assembled the card and popped up the unicorn as well as the cloud borders with foam tape. Finally, I added the glossy silver star stickers which I had in my stash for ages.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Enchanted

06.02.2020

Hi everyone,

today's card showcases the sweet Sunny Studio Stamps Enchanted set which I combined with a beautiful scene from the Spring Fling Paper pack. This makes creating so easy and convenient because the background is already done for you ;-)

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped it in VersaMark Ink directly onto the grass at the bottom. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

To complete my scene, I die cut two clouds (included in the Spring Showers Dies set) from white cardstock and added them to the sky.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

The sentiment was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock banner. Finally, I popped up the striped panel and images with foam tape.

SugarPea Designs • Guest Design #1

03.02.2020

Hi crafty friends,

I'm so excited to finally share my happy news! I was invited to be a guest designer for SugarPea Designs and I'm honored to show my projects each Monday this month. I had so much fun creating with their awesome and cute products!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I made a love-themed card combining the Ooh La La stamp set with the SugarCut ParisScape die.

For my sky background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. Next, I die cut the Paris landscape from white cardstock and adhered it at the bottom.

I stamped the adorable croissant with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. I enhanced the shading with Prismacolor pencils and used the coordinating die to cut out the image. For some extra shine, I covered the balloons with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark ink onto a black cardstock banner. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and adhered the banner as well as the image with foam tape. Finally, I added two little hearts which I die cut with the SugarCut You're My Type dies.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Hello Bluebird • Puddle Play • Elephant Friends

02.02.2020

Hello everyone,

I've used quite some pink on my last cards and today's friendship card is no exception ;-) The cute elephants from the Hello Bluebird  Puddle Play set almost look like they are going to hug each other.

First, I created a fun background with pink Alcohol Inks by Ranger. I love to play with them although you never know the result in advance. This time I also sprinkled on some Blending Solution with a paint brush.

I colored the elephants with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and white heat embossed it. I die cut the word 'friend' from silver glitter cardstock with the Hello Friend Words Die.

I adhered my pinkalicious background with some fun foam to the white card base and added a thin strip of patterned paper to the right. The sentiment and elephant buddies were popped up with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your Sunday!
