Hello Bluebird • Little Things Matter Most

19.05.2020

Hello sweeties,

I really enjoy coloring with my beloved Copics, but sometimes I like to change things up. This time, I decided to color with my new Karin Brushmarkers. For today's card, I combined the adorable Hello Bluebird Meadow Bunnies set with the versatile Oak Tree Scene Die.

First, I did a watercolor wash of purples and pinks to create the background. I die cut the oak tree pieces and did the foliage with brushmarkers. For the tree trunk and grass, I used Distress Oxide Inks. I puzzled all the pieces together and put a white frame around it. Really love how this die helps to create a wonderful scene in no time.

I stamped the bunny and butterflies with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and colored them with Karin Brushmarkers. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a cardstock strip and adhered it as well as the images with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! And don't forget 'Little things matter most'!

Hello Bluebird • Bee Happy

13.05.2020

Good evening crafty friends,

the Hello Bluebird Bee Happy stamp set is still one of my all-time favorites! I just can't get enough of these adorable bees. This time I went with a more masculine color scheme.

First, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio on a Bristol cardstock panel. I also added ink splatters with a paint brush.

I trimmed a piece of heavyweight white cardstock to the same size as my card base and cut out a hexagon window (MFT Hexagon STAX Die-namics) slightly at an angle and off the left side. I adhered it over the ink blended background with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the bees and flowers as well as some small accessory images from several stamp sets (books: Tabitha; cup: Strawberry Jam; letter: Autumn Gatherings) and cut everything out with the coordinating dies. I added some highlights with a gelly roll pen and white heat embossed the sentiment on a small strip of black cardstock. To finish off my card, I adhered some matching glitter enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Bee happy!

I also used the background image and single tulips from the Besties stamp set to create a little scene. I added the butterfly from the Meadow Bunnies set and colored everything with Copics. The sentiment is included in the Happy Wishes set and I heat embossed it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful weekend!

Hello Bluebird • April Release • Little Painters

17.04.2020

Hello crafty friends,

do you love rainbows as much as I do? I just had to make these cute bunnies from the Little Painters set (it's actually Easter-themed but I wanted to use it in a non-holiday way) color some pretty rainbow clouds.

I did some watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Wild Honey, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet) and used the Grassy Knoll Dies to cut out the cloud borders. When everything was completely dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Besties stamp set with VersaMark Ink and white heat embossed it.

Next, I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the card base by letting it fade into the white. I layered the two rainbow cloud borders on top of each other and added a small black and white striped paper strip below.

To create a cluster of color tins, I did some masking. I colored the images with Copics, fussy cut them out and adhered them with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Hello Bluebird • April Release • Party on the Farm

13.04.2020

Hi there,

hope you're spending a Happy Easter!

Today I have a birthday card for you made with the Party on the Farm set which is another favorite of mine! It goes perfectly with the also freshly released Farmland Background.

First, I colored all images with Copics. I stamped the birthday sentiment inside the white area of the background scene which I adhered directly to my card base. Next, I die cut a circle window out of another white cardstock panel and stamped the grass border from the background stamp at the bottom using Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink. I adhered the panel over the background using foam tape and added the farm critters, balloon and cupcake to the card front. The banner went across the top of the circle window and was popped up with foam tape as well.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

Hello sweet friends,

I created a fresh and modern card with the new Meadow Bunnies Stamps which of course can be used for Easter but also all year round.

I tried something different and colored them in pastel colors using Copics. To create a colorblock design, I trimmed matching cardstock and adhered the pieces to my card base. I stamped the sentiments in VersaMark Ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you again tomorrow!

Hello Bluebird • Unicorn Tales • Magical Birthday

09.02.2020

Hi sweet friends,

I love to create dreamy cards and that's a wonderful occasion to use the cute Hello Bluebird  Unicorn Tales set again.

I inked up the little jumping unicorn and colored it with Copics. I used the coordinating die to cut it out. For the sky background, I did some soft ink blending with the Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender. The clouds and rainbow are cut with the After The Rain Scene Die from white and colored cardstock.

Next, I cut the Magical Sparkle Words Die from silver glitter cardstock and white heat embossed the sentiments from the Sparkles Script stamp set onto black cardstock strips. I assembled the card and popped up the unicorn as well as the cloud borders with foam tape. Finally, I added the glossy silver star stickers which I had in my stash for ages.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • Puddle Play • Elephant Friends

02.02.2020

Hello everyone,

I've used quite some pink on my last cards and today's friendship card is no exception ;-) The cute elephants from the Hello Bluebird  Puddle Play set almost look like they are going to hug each other.

First, I created a fun background with pink Alcohol Inks by Ranger. I love to play with them although you never know the result in advance. This time I also sprinkled on some Blending Solution with a paint brush.

I colored the elephants with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next, I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and white heat embossed it. I die cut the word 'friend' from silver glitter cardstock with the Hello Friend Words Die.

I adhered my pinkalicious background with some fun foam to the white card base and added a thin strip of patterned paper to the right. The sentiment and elephant buddies were popped up with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your Sunday!

Hello Bluebird • Farmyard Little Bits • Let's Celebrate

13.01.2020

Hi crafty friends,

I desperately need to fill my stash with birthday cards and decided to use the cute Farmyard Little Bits again. Those tiny pigs and cows make my heart happy!

I started off with a white A2 card base and adhered a smaller piece of black and white striped paper. Next, I die cut the Gallery Frame #3 Die window grid from white cardstock and the inlaid rectangles from colored cardstock.

The images were colored with Copics and I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Finally, I white heat embossed the Typed Everyday sentiment on a thin black cardstock strip and adhered everything with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope your week is off to a great start!

Hello Bluebird • Warm Wishes and Merry Christmas

17.12.2019

Hi peeps,

today I'm sharing a Christmas card with you were I mixed and matched several products from the last Hello Bluebird Holiday Release. I love how well the stamps go together! Just like they were meant to be :-)

I combined the Merry Mice stamps (mice, ladder, bow, single gift) with the O Christmas Tree set (bunny, gifts, candy cane) and added the little birdie from the Snowball Fight set. The images were colored with Copics and cut out with the coordinating dies.

For the background, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Tattered Rose, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac). I cut the bold Warm Wishes Words Die from the center of my ink blended panel and stacked the words together with three additional layers of white carstock die-cuts. I pressed the top of the die-cut into my VersaMark ink pad and covered it with Judikins Iridescent Sparkle Embossing Powder. I heat embossed it and inlaid the words back into the negative space.

I also stamped and white heat embossed the little Merry Christmas banner from the Cocoa Party set onto vellum. Finally, I assembled my scene by adhering the images with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping my! Until next time!
