MFT Stamps • February Release Countdown Day 2

24.02.2024

Hello sweet friends,

it's Countdown Day 2 for the My Favorite Things February Release. Make sure to hop over to the MFT Blog for some product sneaks and inspiring DT projects.

On today's CAS birthday card, I combined the Smart Mask - Horizontal Diagonal High/Low Strip Stencil with one of the cuties from the JB Birthday Bites Stamp & Die Duo.

I started off with a white landscape card base measuring a bit less than the regular A2 size. I trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size and temporarily attached the stencil to it. I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in a pastel cotton candy color scheme (Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet). The sentiment from the Essential Birthday Messages set was stamped in VersaMark Ink and I heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder.

Next, I stamped the kitty with the cake in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut it out. For a bit of dimension, I adhered it with foam tape. I finished off the card with a small aqua heart die-cut.

MFT Stamps • Flower Fusion Card Kit • Preview

15.01.2024

Happy Monday everyone,

today we're introducing the My Favorite Things Flower Fusion Card Kit that will be available tomorrow at 10 am EST.

This beautiful kit lets you create colorful floral cards with clever stencils, a gorgeous word die and a versatile sentiment stamp set in a pretty font.

On my card, I combined the stunning Flower Fusion Stencil Set (which contains of 5 easy-to-use layering stamps) with the Smart Mask High/Low Strip Stencil.

I started off with a standard sized A2 card base made from white cardstock. I trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size and attached the masking stencil first. Next, I worked my way through all the several layers using Distress Oxide Inks to color the flowers (Mustard Seed, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Salvaged Patina, Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet) and leaves (Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn).

I picked a 'Thank You' sentiment from the Essential Messages stamp set and stamped it in VersaMark Ink. To match some of the flowers, I heat embossed it with Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glaze.

MFT Stamps • January Release Day

09.01.2024

Hi there,

the big day is finally here! You can now purchase all the new goodies from the fab My Favorite Things January Release!

On today's card, I combined two of my favorite crafty techniques – Copic Coloring and Ink Blending with Distress Oxides. The images and sentiment are part of the lovely Paper Planes Stamp & Die Duo.

First, I created a landscape A2 card base from Lazy Day Card Stock. I die cut a white cardstock panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set. Next, I placed the Watercolor Rectangle Stencil on top and secured it slighly at an angle. I did an ink blended sky using Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I removed the stencil and let the blending dry completely before stamping the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Finally, I assembled my little scene using liquid glue and added a purple enamel heart.

MFT Stamps • January Release Countdown Day 1

05.01.2024

Hello everyone,

we're shaking things up for the upcoming My Favorite Things January Release and are moving back to a Countdown. Customers love to see previews of what's coming and the Design Team is happy to share some inspiration before the new products will be available on Tuesday, January 9th at 10 am EST.

For today's teaser, I used the adorable JB Scent-sational Skunks Stamp & Die Duo to create a love-themed card.

First, I cut and scored an A2 card base from Black Licorice Card Stock. From a piece of masking paper I die cut the biggest of the Heart STAX Die-namics and adhered the neagtive to a white cardstock panel. I blended over the whole heart with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. Next, I applied Kitsch Flamingo over it using the Cloud Stencil. I carefully removed the mask and cut the panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set.

This month some retired colors (cardstocks, inks and refills) are making their comeback! I die cut the top of a Carribean Sea Card Stock strip with one of the Grassy Edges Die-namics. I stamped the punny sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed in white. Next, I stamped the sweet skunks in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and adhered them to the card. The clouds were stamped in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink to match the stenciled cloudy heart. I cut them out with the matching dies and added them to my little scene.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

MFT Stamps • December Release Spotlight Day 4

23.12.2023

Happy weekend everyone,

we've reached the final day of the My Favorite Things December Release Spotlight. Please check out the MFT Blog for today's DT inspiration.

This card was so much fun to create! I adore the new MSTN Roller Skate Die-namics which I combined with one of the MSTN Let the Good Times Roll sentiments.

I started off with an A2 card base made from Tropical Teal Card Stock. Onto a white cardstock panel, I did some stenciling with the Radiating Rays Stencil and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. I cut it out with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Now onto the fun part of die cutting all the pieces of the roller skate in the colors of your choice. I picked Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, Sno Cone, Summer Splash, Tropical Teal, Cement Gray and Gravel Gray. I assembled the roller skate using liquid glue and popped it up with foam tape in the center of the card.

MFT Stamps • December Release Spotlight Day 2

21.12.2023

Hi everyone,

we're reviewing the awesome new products of the My Favorite Things December Release. Please visit the MFT Blog for another round of DT inspiration.

Today I'm sharing a CAS Friendship card made with the Soda Pop Die-namics, Bottle Cap Die-namics and Soda Pop stamp set which comes with lots of punny sentiments.

I started off with a white A2 top-folding card base and cut one of the diagonal Black & White Stripes papers to the same size. I trimmed down another white cardstock panel to be a bit smaller.

Next, I die cut the bottle from white cardstock and did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (soda: Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry; bottle neck: Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina). For the bubbly look, I splattered on water droplets and dabbed them off with a paper towel. The word 'FIZZ' was stamped in Picked Raspberry onto the label die-cut and I heat embossed it in clear.

I adhered the bottle at an angle in the bottom left corner. With the help of masking, I partially stenciled some bubbles using the Heavy Snowfall Stencil and Kitsch Flamingo ink. The sentiment was stamped in crisp VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. As a little embellishment, I die cut a bottle cap and heart (Ripe Raspberry, Sno Cone and Brushed Silver Card Stock). For some extra shine, I covered the heart with NUVO Crystal Glaze.

Hi there,

the awesome My Favorite Things December Release is now available for purchase! Please check out the MFT Blog for more DT inspiration.

On today's card, I combined the fun JB Right on Track stamp set with the older Happy Swish Die-namics.

I started off with a black landscape A2 card base and trimmed down a white cardstock panel to be a bit smaller. For the wavy stripes I went with a retro color palette and die cut them from colored cardstock (Red Hot, Orange Zest, Summer Splash, Tropical Teal and Blue Beyond). I adhered them to the white cardstock panel and cut off the excess.

Next, I stamped the raccoon, the cat and the turntable in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and did some Copic coloring. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies and popped up the images with thin foam tape. Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments and a couple of music notes in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.
