MFT Stamps • March Card Kit Release

28.03.2023

Hi peeps,

the wait is over! You can now order the jam-packed At the Movies Card Kit and all the fabulous add-ons.

The price for this collection of coordinated products is more than 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

I did some creative masking for today's One Layer Card on which I combined the Birdie Brown Birthday Bears with the small images from the Concesson Signage stamp set.

First, I created a standard A2 sized card from white cardstock. I stamped the two bears at the center and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped parts of the images again onto post-it notes to mask off the paws. Now I stamped the popcorn and drink over the masks to make it look like the bears are holding them. After coloring the images, I stamped out new masks to cover up everything before doing the background.

To create the floor, I masked off about two thirds of the top and blended on Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink which is a perfect light grey. Then I switched the mask to cover up the bottom and lightly applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink in circular motions.

Next, I put the Sunny Rays Stencil on top and sponged through Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, letting the color fade out towards the outside. Finally, I stamped one of the Picture-Perfect Sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink below the bears.

Here's the March Card Kit again (don't forget to have a look at the add-ons):

MFT Stamps • March Card Kit • Countdown Day 1

27.03.2023

Hello everyone,

it's another day of previews for the At the Movies Card Kit and all the amazing add-ons that will be available tomorrow.

I love going to the movie theater with friends or family (although it's been a while), so this is what I came up with:

First, I cut and scored an A2 card base from white cardstock. I trimmed down a Black Licorice Card Stock panel to be a bit smaller and masked off the bottom half. I applied Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink through the English Brick Wall Stencil.

Next, I used the At the Movies Die-namics to die cut the seat rows from red and grey cardstock (Red Hot, Amarena Cherry, Wild Cherry, Gravel Gray). You can't see it really in the photo, but I added score lines between the seats. I also used grey Copic markers to darken the grey top parts for a bit of variation.

I stamped one of the Picture-Perfect Sentiments onto a piece of black cardstock and used the rectangle die from the Movie Screen Die-namics set to cut it out. I adhered it to the stenciled background and added the popcorn and drinks from the Movie Munchies Die-namics set. I finished off the card with three white stars.

MFT Stamps • March Card Kit • Countdown Day 2

26.03.2023

Happy Sunday peeps,

today we're introducing this month's entertaining At the Movies Card Kit that will be available on Tuesday, March 28th at 10 am EST.

Do you enjoy movies? Then this kit with its innovative products is just perfect as it allows you to come up with all kinds of movie-themed scenes!

On today's card, I used the At the Movies - Romance stamps and one of the Picture-Perfect Sentiments. The Movie Screen Die-namics, Landscape Die-namics and Rear View Die-namics helped create a romantic scene in a drive-in cinema.

I started off with a landscape A2 card base and a Bristol Smooth Cardstock panel in the same size. I masked off the bottom third and did an ink blended sunset sky using Distress Oxides (Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Black Soot). After letting it dry, I switched the mask to cover the sky and blended Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink together to create the grass. After die cutting the bushes and trees, I added the same ink colors to them that I previously used for the sky.

Next, I die cut the movie screen and car from colored cardstock (Black Licorice, Blue Beyond, Summer Splash, Amarena Cherry, Gravel Gray, Smooth White). I used the heart die from the Love Icons Die-namics set to create a sunset movie scene (Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold) with the silhouette heads of the couple stamped in black.

I adhered all the die-cuts to the scene and also put two people (Heads Up Die-namics) inside the car. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink directly onto the grass.

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 638

22.03.2023

Hi friends,

it's time again for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at the MFT Blog. Join the challenge with a new project following the sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher.

Although it's finally Spring and getting warmer, I created one last winter-themed card since I really wanted to use the adorable Beary Special stamp set by Rachelle Anne Miller.

When I saw this week's sketch, I remembered the cards that I previously made with the Snowflake Flurry Background stamp. I happened to have two strips left and was glad I could use them for this card. The snowflakes were originally stamped in VersaMark Ink onto Sno Cone and Summer Splash Card Stock and heat embossed with Judikins Iridescent Embossing Powder. I adhered the strips to a white A2 card base.

Next, I stamped the sweet polar bears and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also stamped, colored and die cut the snowbank from the Stacey Yacula Polar Opposites set.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Love Notes set and I stamped it in VersaMark Ink onto a thin Black Licorice Card Stock strip. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and adhered the strip as well as the images to the card.

MFT Stamps • February Ready, Set, Christmas! Challenge

16.03.2023

Hello everyone,

it's time again for the monthly Ready, Set, Christmas! challenge which takes place over on the MFT Blog.

On my square inspiration card, I used the sweet littlefox from the Freezin' Season stamp set.

First, I started off with a white square card base and trimmed down a Bristol Smooth cardstock panel for the ink blended background. I picked the Distress Oxide Inks Uncharted Mariner, Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass for this ombré winter sky. I added white paint spatters to mimic falling snow.

Next, I die cut a snow hill from white cardstock using one of the Sand and Surf Die-namics and applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the edge. The sentiment is from the Holiday Cheers set and I stampe it in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

In addition to the fox, I stamped two gifts from the Pure Innocence Christmas Sweetheart set and colored the images with Copic markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies and used foam adhesive to add dimension.

I invite you to join the challenge with any new holiday-themed project for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher.

MFT Stamps • March Release Day

07.03.2023

Hi sweeties,

the day is finally here! The My Favorite Things March Release is now available for purchase! Check out the MFT Blog for today's final DT inspiration.

I made a CAS card using one of the Hot Dog! cuties again and paired him with a big Thrilled for You sentiment.

First, I cut and scored a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. I masked off a good portion of the top to create the ground by ink blending the Distress Oxides Salvaged Patina and Cracked Pistachio. For some interest, I added ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I stamped the dog and colored him with Copic markers. I cut out the image with the matching die and adhered it with foam squares.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment above the image using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 1

06.03.2023

Happy Monday folks,

the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown wraps up today. Please join us as we are revealing the remaining products that will be available tomorrow.

This month there are some fun additions to the popular Money Card Die-namics. I used the Keep on Rockin' Die-namics along with the Thrilled for You sentiment stamps.

First, I die cut the rounded rectangle card base from white cardstock and a striped Feelin' Festive paper. I glued them together for more sturdiness.

Next, I cut out the drum kit, sticks and speech bubble from colored cardstock (Red Hot, Tropical Teal, Black Licorice). To make the drum kit stand out against the striped colorful background, I adhered it onto a white stitched circle. I stamped the money amount from the Price Tag stamp set in VersaMark Ink onto the black drum circle and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I picked two matching sentiments, one was white heat embossed onto a Tropical Teal Card Stock strip and the other was directly stamped inside the circle using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Another must-have are the Universal Money Loops Die-namics. They make it so easy to add a bit of cash to your card – just roll it tight up and insert it through the provided loops. And the best thing is that it will fit any type of paper curreny! I did mine in simple black.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you again tomorrow!

MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 2

05.03.2023

Hello everyone,

only 2 more days until the My Favorite Things March Release goes live. Please check out today's product reveals and inspiring DT projects over on the MFT Blog.

I made a sweet Baby card combining the It's a Baby Die-namics and the Oh, Baby! stamps.

First, I covered the front of an A2 landscape card base with one of the new Diagonal Gingham papers. I die cut a white cardstock panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. At the bottom, I stamped the large sentiment in Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.

Next, I die cut the diaper, onesie and bib from pastel colored cardstock (Sno Cone, Grapesicle and Princess Pink) and did some shading with Copics. I decorated each of the baby clothes with a cute little critter. For a bit of dimension, I adhered the die-cuts with foam tape above the sentiment.

MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 3

04.03.2023

Hi peeps,

we are halfway to the My Favorite Things March Release Day and today it's all about LOVE.

I created a CAS Anniversary card using the Hot Dog! stamp set and the versatile Diagonal Stripes Stencil.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. For the background, I partially inked the stencil with Distress Oxides (Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick).

Next, I stamped two of the cute dogs (facing each other), did some Copic coloring and cut them out with the coordinating dies. To frame them, I used a Box of Chocolates Die-namics outline heart and cut it from gold glitter cardstock.

The 'Happy Anniversary' sentiment is part of the new To The Happy Couple set. I stamped it in VersaMark Ink onto a Poppin' Pink Card Stock strip and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I cut it out with a fishtail banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set.

I adhered the sparkly heart frame directly onto the stenciled background and popped up the images and sentiment banner with foam squares. To finish off the card, I placed a pink enamel heart between the dogs.

Now I invite you to visit the MFT YouTube channel for even more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 4

03.03.2023

Hello everyone,

it's Day 4 of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown and we have more fun birthday products to share with you today.

One can never have enough birthday cards, right?! I used the new YUZU Presents and Pupcakes stamps along with the Balloon Strings Background and the Blueprints 26 Die-namics that were pulled from the Vault.

First, I stamped the cling background in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Sno Cone Card Stock and heat embossed it with Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glaze. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a white A2 card base.

Next, I die cut the big balloon from Lazy Day Card Stock and added shading with Premium Dye Inks (Lazy Day, Something Blue and Blue Beyond). The string and bow were cut from Gravel Gray Card Stock.

Now I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

For the sentiment, I die cut the large word 'happy' twice from white cardstock to make it a bit more sturdy. I also stamped the word 'birthday' in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed it in white.

I assembled the card by adhering the die-cuts with liquid glue and popping up the images and sentiment strip with foam tape. To complete my birthday scene, I added a little birdie from the previously released YUZU Hunny Bunny stamp set.

MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 5

02.03.2023

Hello friends,

today we are kicking off the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. All the new products will be available on Tuesday, March 7th at 10 am EST.

My first card features the sweet Unforgettable Birthday stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. I just love these adorable elephants and mice!

I cut and scored an A2 card base from white cardstock and trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock to the same size. The dreamy background was done with Distress Oxide Inks in pastel colors (Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass). I blended the inks randomly together and splattered on water droplets to lift the color.

Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. For a bit of dimension, I adhered the images with thin foam tape. I also added the little streamers from the new YUZU Presents and Pupcakes stamp set.

The sentiment fit perfectly in-between the images and was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Make sure to check out the MFT YouTube channel for even more ideas, product details and tutorials.

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 635

01.03.2023

Hi peeps,

we have a new sketch over at the MFT Blog for our weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I really enjoy feeling inspired and getting creative with the sketches.

This is what I came up with – a simple and fun Friendship card made with the Dog Squad stamp set.

First, I created a top-folding card base from Carribean Sea Card Stock. The dotted paper is from the Feelin' Festive Paper Pad. I trimmed it to the shape that matches the sketch and adhered it onto the card base. Next, I stamped one of the punny sentiments in VersaMark Ink at an angle below the patterned paper and white heat embossed it.

The dogs and small accessories were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copics. I cut the images out with the coordinating dies and popped them up with thin foam tape.

Here is this week's sketch #635:
