MFT Stamps • August Release Spotlight Day 2

17.08.2023

Hi friends,

we're continuing with the reviews for the My Favorite Things August Release. Today I'm showcasing the I Chews You stamp set which is perfect for masculine cards.

First, I created an A2 landscape card base from Kraft Card Stock. I trimmed down the swirly paper from the MSTN Spooky Season Paper Pad to be slightly smaller.

Next, I cut out a white cardstock panel using one of the Watercolor Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I created the background with the help of the Cloud Stencil, the Drifts & Hills Stencil and Distress Oxides Inks (Salvaged Patina, Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover).

I stamped the critters and trees in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and adhered them with liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip. I heat embossed it in white and cut it out with a fishtail banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set. Finally, I adhered the banner next to the adorable hedgehog.

MFT Stamps • June Release Countdown Day 5

02.06.2022

Hi peeps,

today we're kicking off the countdown to the My Favorite Things June Release. All the new products will be available on Tuesday, June 7th at 10 am EDT.

I picked the new Stacey Yacula stamp set Reel-y Great Day for my first card which would be perfect for a man's birthday.

First, I did some ink blending and stenciling to create a little pond scene. Therefore I used Distress Oxide Inks and the previously released Scene Stencil - Rolling Hills. For the water of the pond, I masked off the background and blended on Broken China, Speckled Egg and Tumbled Glass ink. Then I covered the pond with the mask and blended together Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio, Antique Linen, Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness. Finally, I added ink splatters with a paint brush and let it dry.

Next, I used the two little wave dies from the Better Together Die-namics set at the bottom of the pond. I cut out the panel with the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and adhered it to a white A2 card base.

I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating Reel-y Great Day Die-namics to cut everthing out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black fishtail banner and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I finished off the card by adhering the images and sentiment banner using liquid glue.

MFT Stamps • May Release Countdown Day 3

07.05.2022

Hi friends,

we are halfway through the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown and today we have a bunch of new products perfect for the men in your life.

I created a monochrome Clean and Simple birthday card using the fun MSTN Mustache Trio Die-namics, MSTN Super Stache stamp set and the MSTN Father Figures Background.

I started off with an A2 card base and trimmed the plaid patterned paper from the MSTN Black & White Plaid Paper Pad to the same size. Next, I stamped the background in Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink onto white cardstock, cut it down and matted it with a Gravel Gray Card Stock panel.

I die cut each of the two mustaches three times from Black Licorice Card Stock and stacked them together. For even more dimension, I popped them up with foam squares. The birthday sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black on a white rectangle which I adhered with foam tape as well.

Please visit the MFT YouTube channel for more ideas, product details and tutorials.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Tool Time

07.05.2020

Hello everyone,

I admit that I always struggle with masculine cards but look at this fun Tool Time mini stamp set which is just perfect for all male creators in your life.

I started off with an aqua A2 card base and added texture to a teal cardstock panel with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I splattered on some white paint with a brush, let it dry completely and adhered the embossed panel with a piece of fun foam to the card base.

Next, I stamped the tool images as well as the book (Grad Cat set) and the paper roll (Woo Hoo set) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did some coloring with Copic Markers and fussy cut everything out.

I used the Wrap Around Box Dies to create a wooden tool box (to make the handle, I die cut the tag twice and did rotate it for the 2nd cut). I cut it from woodgrain cardstock and sponged the edges with brown ink.

I also die cut a circle from grid patterned paper (Gingham Pastels Paper) and trimmed the left side to offset it on my card. I adhered the tool box with foam squares and tucked the images inside. Finally, I added a sentiment banner and enamel dots to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
