MFT Stamps • February Vault Release Preview

19.02.2024

Happy Monday everyone,

the My Favorite Things Vault is opening up again! So happy to see that they are bringing back some of their basic Die-namics sets which will be essentials in your craft stash. All the products will be available tomorrow at 10 am EDT.

I created a circle shaped card with the Stitched Circle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics and the JB Cupigs Stamp & Die Duo from the January Release.

First, I made a card base from white cardstock using the 4 1/2" circle die from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics set. Next, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (top half: Saltwater Taffy, Tattered Rose; bottom half: Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass).

The stitched circle scallop edge frame was die cut from Kraft Card Stock twice to make it a bit more sturdy. I backed it with a Sno Cone Card Stock circle and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the sweet images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies. The left piggy and clouds were adhered inside the circle frame. While the bird and other pig were popped up with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • January Jenoblade Release Day

30.01.2024

Hi everyone,

it's here! You can now order this month's My Favorite Things Jenoblade Release. Be quick to get your hands on 5 new incredibly cute designs!

Today's birthday card features the sweet JB Tea Party Pals Stamp & Die Duo. My favorite image is the little bear sitting inside the cup.

First, I created an A2 card base from white cardstock. I picked one of the patterned papers from the Joyful Plaid Paper Pad and cut it out with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics set. Next, I cut out a window with one of the Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics. I used the same die to cut an oval from white cardstock. I masked off a good half of the top and blended on Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink at the bottom. I inlaid the oval into the plaid patterned paper and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Finally, I adhered them to the oval.

MFT Stamps • January Jenoblade Release Preview

29.01.2024

Hello sweet friends,

I'm really excited that My Favorite Things is having another Special Jenoblade Release this month. And it is sooo cute! The new products will be available tomorrow at 10 am EST. Please visit the MFT Blog to find out more.

For today's preview project I chose the adorable JB Books & Buddies Stamp & Die Duo and created a one layer card.

I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. With the help of masking, I stamped a little scene using a couple of the images. After coloring them with Copic markers, I covered everything with fussy cut masks to do some stenciling in the background. I used the Small Brick Wall Stencil along with Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink.

Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Hope you like this CAS card :-)

MFT Stamps • Flower Fusion Card Kit • Release Day

16.01.2024

Hi peeps,

the gorgeous My Favorite Things Flower Fusion Card Kit is now available for purchase. The price for this coordinated collection of products is 25% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

Today I have a more elegant monochromatic card to share. It features the awesome add-ons that go with the kit.

I started off with an A2 card base made from Cement Gray Card Stock. Next, I stamped the intricate Cascading Diamonds Background in Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink onto a white cardstock panel. I trimmed it down to be slightly smaller than A2 and adhered it to the card base.

The Sketchy Blooms stamp set is so pretty! I picked one of the floral images and stamped it in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Cement Gray Card Stock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and cut it out with one of the Stitched Diamond STAX Die-namics. The sentiment from the Essential Messages stamp set has been white embossed as well onto a Blue Beyond Card Stock strip. Finally, I embellished my card with matching enamel dots and a tiny heart.

Happy Monday everyone,

today we're introducing the My Favorite Things Flower Fusion Card Kit that will be available tomorrow at 10 am EST.

This beautiful kit lets you create colorful floral cards with clever stencils, a gorgeous word die and a versatile sentiment stamp set in a pretty font.

On my card, I combined the stunning Flower Fusion Stencil Set (which contains of 5 easy-to-use layering stamps) with the Smart Mask High/Low Strip Stencil.

I started off with a standard sized A2 card base made from white cardstock. I trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size and attached the masking stencil first. Next, I worked my way through all the several layers using Distress Oxide Inks to color the flowers (Mustard Seed, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Salvaged Patina, Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet) and leaves (Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn).

I picked a 'Thank You' sentiment from the Essential Messages stamp set and stamped it in VersaMark Ink. To match some of the flowers, I heat embossed it with Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glaze.

MFT Stamps • January Release Spotlight

10.01.2024

Hello sweeties,

the My Favorite Things January Release went live yesterday and today we're shining a spotlight on the new products.

It's getting cute again ;-) I picked the YUZU Darling Dragons Stamp & Die Duo for today's inspiration card.

I started off with an A2 card base made from Gravel Gray Card Stock. I cut down a gorgeous plaid patterned paper from the Orange Sherbet Paper Pad to be slightly smaller and adhered it to the card base. With one of the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics I cut out a piece of Grapesicle Card Stock. At the top I added a white scalloped border and adhered the banner with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the dragon in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and did some Copic coloring. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image. The sentiment was stamped it VersaMark Ink onto a Gravel Gray Card Stock strip and I heat embossed it in white. I again used foam tape to pop up the image and sentiment strip.

MFT Stamps • January Release Day

09.01.2024

Hi there,

the big day is finally here! You can now purchase all the new goodies from the fab My Favorite Things January Release!

On today's card, I combined two of my favorite crafty techniques – Copic Coloring and Ink Blending with Distress Oxides. The images and sentiment are part of the lovely Paper Planes Stamp & Die Duo.

First, I created a landscape A2 card base from Lazy Day Card Stock. I die cut a white cardstock panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set. Next, I placed the Watercolor Rectangle Stencil on top and secured it slighly at an angle. I did an ink blended sky using Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I removed the stencil and let the blending dry completely before stamping the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Finally, I assembled my little scene using liquid glue and added a purple enamel heart.
