Memory Box Drifting Side Butterfly • Infinitely Grateful

18.05.2018

Hello everyone,

it's no secret that I love butterflies ;-) So of course, I had to have the Memory Box «Drifting Side Butterfly». It comes with two dies – a solid and an intricate outline one.

This is the simple card that I made:

For the solid part, I used a blue leftover Alcohol Ink piece and cut the intricate outline from silver cardstock. I die cut the chevron patterned paper (Cocoa Vanilla Studio «More Than Words») with the largest of the My Favorite Things «Stitched Wonky Rectangle STAX» Die-namics. Next, I did some random splatters with «Blueprint Sketch» Distress Oxide Ink.

The sentiment is from the MFT «Geometric Greenery» set and I white heat embossed it on a banner. Therefore, I used «Steel Grey» cardstock and one of the «Stitched Sentiment Strips» Die-namics, both by MFT, too. Finally, I popped up the butterfly and banner with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #62

15.02.2018

Hi crafty peeps,

we already reached the mid of February – this means we have a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog for you. The theme is pretty easy and versatile: «Birthday/Party».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until March 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

Alcohol Inks made a huge comeback these days, so I decided to create a background on Yupo Paper with aqua, blue and green tones. I thought it would be fun to use the Inlaid Die Cutting technique with the Memory Box «Fresh Foliage» die.

The sentiment is from the Winnie & Walter «The Party» stamp set and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» powder. I cut a mat from SSS «Fog» cardstock using a MFT «Stitched Rectangle» die. To finish off my card, I adhered «Crystal Rainbow Confetti» from Studio Katia.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge January

08.01.2018

Hello everyone,

hopefully, you all had a good start to the new year. Unfortunately, we were sick since Christmas :-(

But today I'm finally back with my belated card for the first Stempelgarten Challenge in 2018. The brand-new theme is «Brrr… Freezing!».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I picked this cute snowman from the Paper Smooches «Cool Dudes» stamp set and framed him with the beautiful «Frostyville Wreath» by Memory Box.

In the background, I did some faded blending with Distress Oxide Inks and added white paint splatters to mimic little snowflakes. I cut my panel using a My Favorite Things «Stitched Wonky Rectangle» die. Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the MFT «Polar Pals» set and cut it with a «Slanted Sentiment Strip» die. Finally, I adhered some matching enamel dots.

You will have time until January 31st, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge July

05.07.2017

Good morning,

Summer is in full swing and today starts a new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Anything that flies».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I came up with this card using the plane and banner from the lovely Memory Box «Flying High» stamp set.

For the colorful background, I blended together Distress Inks («Salty Ocean» and «Tumbled Glass» at the top) and Distress Oxide Inks («Fossilized Amber» and «Worn Lipstick» at the bottom). I also added sprinkles of water to lift the color here and there.

I colored the stamped images with Copics, fussy cut everything out and popped it up with foam tape. To complete my sky scene, I adhered die-cut clouds (My Favorite Things «Puffy Clouds» Die-namics). I also added two red die-cut hearts and some small Nuvo Crystal Drops in white.

The striped paper is from the MFT «Black & White Basics» 6x6 paper pack which creates a nice neutral contrast to the summer colors on my card.

You will have time until July 31st, 2017 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an uplifting day!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge June

05.06.2017

Good morning everyone,

it's already June and we have a new theme for the Stempelgarten Challenge – «Clean and Simple».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

Although CAS is one of my favorite cardmaking styles, it often takes me hours to finish one single card ;-)

I had a leftover watercolor piece from when I was experimenting with Distress Oxide Inks and decided to do some Inlaid Die Cutting using the beautiful Memory Box «Gorgeous Gardenia Outline» die.

First, I cut a panel from Simon Says Stamp «Fog» cardstock using the stitched rectangle from the My Favorite Things «Blueprints 29» Die-namics set. Next, I placed the gardenia die in the right bottom corner and run it through my die cutting machine again. I put some Ken Oliver «Stick it» adhesive behind the negative cut out. I die cut the flowers and leaves from the watercolor piece and the outline from white cardstock as well. Finally, I inlaid all the die cuts into the negative space.

The sentiment is from the MFT »LJD Spring Wreath» stamp set and I heat embossed it in white. I adhered two glitter gumdrops by Your Next Stamp to the middle of the gardenias.

You will have time until June 30th, 2017 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful Whit Monday!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge December

05.12.2016

Good morning,

it's time for a new theme over at the Stempelgarten Challenge – this month we invite you to create a project using «Fir tree and/or twigs».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

For my CAS Christmas card I made a little winter scene with dies, a stencil and a sentiment stamp.

To create my background, I took a piece of Stampin' Up! «Indigo Blue» cardstock and sponged «Unicorn» white pigment ink through the Simon Says Stamp «Falling Snow» stencil. Next, I cut the trees from white cardstock using the Impression Obsession «Fir Tree Border» die. I stamped the Memory Box «Merry Christmas» sentiment in VersaMark and heat embossed it with «Metallic Copper» powder from WOW!.

To give it some dimension, I popped up the die-cut panel with foam tape. The cute deers were cut from wood veneer paper with the Poppystamps «Playful Fawns» dies. I also added a tiny red heart.

You will have time until December 31st, 2016 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

I'm joining the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme Anything Goes.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start into the new week!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge September

05.09.2016

Good morning everyone,

today starts the new Stempelgarten Challenge with the easy peasy and popular theme «Anything Goes».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

When I bought this gorgeous Memory Box «Fluttering» stamp a couple of months ago, I immediately knew I wanted to color some rainbow butterflies.

At first, I stamped them in VersaMark and did some heat embossing with Ranger's «Liquid  Platinum» embossing powder. I'm still figuring out how to watercolor with my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens ;-) I also added a light grey shadow around the butterflies.

The pretty handwritten «thank you» is from the Penny Black «Many Thanks» die set. I cut it from black cardstock and put some sparkle on with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen. The card base is made of Simon Says Stamp «Fog» cardstock which is one of my all-time-favorites just like the «Stitched Rectangle» die. Finally, I adhered some «Sparkling Clear» sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

You will have time until September 30th, 2016 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

I'm taking part at the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge June

05.06.2016

Good morning everyone,

it's again time for the Stempelgarten Challenge and the new theme for this month is «Card for a Man».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I often struggle with creating masculine cards – but here's my attempt:

For this Birthday card I made a little scene using dies and stamps from Memory Box and Your Next Stamp. At first I did some faded Ink Blending with «Tumbled Glass» Distress Ink. Then I die-cut the YNS «Houses On A Hill» from Simon Says Stamp «Fog» cardstock. I also inlaid the little windows which I cut from white cardstock.

The clouds (solid and outline image) and the hot air balloon are from the Memory Box Open Studio «Flying High» stamp set. I think this is just perfect for masculine cards. I colored the balloon with Copics and fussy cut it out before adhering it with foam tape.

On top of the card I added a cloud border cut with one of the My Favorite Things «Stitched Cloud Edges» Die-namics. At the bottom I affixed a piece of striped washi tape. I used the Create A Smile «Neutrals» enamel dots to finish off my card.

You will have time until June 30th, 2016 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge December

05.12.2015

Good morning everyone,

today starts the new Stempelgarten Challenge – of course this month's theme has to be «Christmas Time» ;-)

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I decided to go with non-traditional colors for this Christmas card – Light Pink, Grey and Silver.

I did some Inlaid Die Cutting using the intricate «Snowflake Love Pendant» die from Memory Box. To add some sparkle I took silver glitter cardstock for the inlaid heart and all the tiny spaces. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things «Hand Lettered Holiday» stamp set and I heat embossed in silver. I embellished my card with pearls and rhinestones.

This challenge will run until December 31st, 2015 and you can win a voucher with a value of CHF 20.– for the Stempelgarten Online Shop.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge November

05.11.2015

Good morning everyone,

today starts the new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Not Square». We are also happy to announce three new DT members! Warm welcome to Elisa, Marlene and Nicole!

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I created this circle card for Christmas. Did you know there are only 7 weeks to go?! EEK! I'll have to hurry ;-)

I love the detailed and intricate designs from Memory Box – here I used the beautiful «Poinsettia Ribbon» die. I cut it once from gold foil cardstock and inlaid the petals which were made from wine red glitter cardboard.

I die-cut my cream cardstock panel with the largest one of the My Favorite Things «Radial Stitched Circle Stax» Die-namics. I'm in love with the fab «Hand Lettered Holiday» stamp set and heat embossed the sentiment in gold.

Then I cut a round card base from Stampin' Up! «Chili» cardstock and embellished my card with matte golden sequins, a red strass sticker  and some tiny die-cut glitter flowers.

You will have time until November 30th, 2015 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge August

05.08.2015

Good morning peeps,

Today starts the new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Hmm, yummy!». This means you'll have to add something food related to your project like a cake or cupcake, fruits, chocolate, BBQ etc.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I combined this cute little panda from the Your Next Stamp «Love and Smiles» stamp set with the C.C. Designs «Cupcake Die» to create a sweet birthday card.

I colored this lovely image with Copics and fussy cut it. For the cupcake die-cut I simply used some scraps of patterned paper (I wish I'd added some shading to the cupcake because it looks really flat). In the background I sponged some light aqua stars using the Memory Box «Starry Nights» stencil. The striped paper on the card base and the sentiment from the «Baked with Love» stamp set are by Lawn Fawn. To embellish my card I added a thin strip of silver foil and a couple of pearls.

This challenge will run until August 31st, 2015 and you can win a voucher with a value of CHF 20.– for the Stempelgarten Online Shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a sweet day!

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #318

31.03.2015

Good morning peeps,

Easter is just around the corner and I have a lot to do ;o) So I will keep this post shorter than usual.

This week's theme over at the Everybody-Art-Challenge is an easy and popular one: Anything goes.

I created a «Good Luck» card using the «Off the Grid» stamp from Stampin' Up! which I heat embossed in silver. Then I sprinkled on some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in «Citron». I die-cut Mama Elephant's «No Peeking» tag from white cardstock and also from vellum and layered them slightly offset. This gorgeous shamrock die is from Memory Box and I coated it with Glossy Accents to create my own embellishment.

I enter my card to the following challenge:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Anything Goes

DT Stempelgarten Challenge March

05.03.2015

Good morning everyone,

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

it's time again for the Stempelgarten Challenge and the new theme is «Spring».

I created a simple Easter card using the Memory Box «Garden Flora» stencil and the Poppystamps «Chocolate Bunny» die. For the stenciling I dabbed «Coral Reef» ink from Simon Says Stamp with a mini ink blending tool.

Unfortunately, you can't see it very well on the photos but I also created a little texture to the background by stamping the Cover-a-card «Beauty Text» from Impression Obsession in VersaMark and heat embossing it with Ranger's clear embossing powder.

I die-cut the bunny three times and glued the pieces together. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I heat embossed it in white onto a strip of vellum.

Now it's your turn – pull out your spring themed craft items and join our challenge. You will have time until March 31st, 2015 to enter and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.00.

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #303

02.12.2014

Hi everyone,

I'm absolutely late with my card for the current Everybody-Art-Challenge and this is going to be a short post. For this week the theme is «Bells» and of course I created another Christmas card.

I don't know why, but I love to use deers on my holiday cards! This cute one and the gorgeous wreath are from the «Happy Christmas» stamp set by Winnie & Walter.
I heat embossed the deer with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger and the leaves of the wreath were colored with Copics. I die-cut a circle and attached two little silver bells with natural jute string (May Arts). I've chosen my current favorite Christmas sentiment stamp (Memory Box) and also stamped a couple of the berries and heat embossed them in «Cherry Chobler» (Stampin' Up!). The DP and the red cardstock are also from SU.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #302

25.11.2014

Good morning peeps,

only one month to go until Christmas! That's why I created another holiday card for the Everybody-Art-Challenge with the theme «Snowflake».

For the focal point of my card I used two awesome snowflake dies from Memory Box. Love the «Dazzling Snowflake» – it is really big, intricate and cuts a negative. The other one is called «New Castle Snowflake» and I heat embossed it two times with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger. It almost looks like a metallic embellishment. The dark blue cardstock («Night of Navy») is from Stampin' Up!,
as is the rhinestone in the center of the snowflakes. I heat embossed the beautiful scripty sentiment (also by Memory Box) on vellum with the same embossing powder and attached it diagonally.

That's all from me for today! Thanks for stopping by!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge November

05.11.2014

Hi everyone,

it's time for a new Stempelgarten Challenge and the theme for the month November
is «All Kinds of Animals».

Since I desperately need to start making my cards for Christmas I decided to use two gorgeous Memory Box dies.

At first I cut a piece of patterned paper (Kaisercraft «Confetti» Paper Pad). Then I created a window using a Spellbinders circle die. To give it some dimension I adhered the panel with foam pads to the cardbase.

I die-cut the «Leaping Deer» three times from Stampin' Up!'s «Early Espresso» cardstock and used some dimensional adhesive, too. The «Starry Wreath» was cut from KARS Glitter Cardboard and placed directly over the window so it looks like a frame. I also used all the tiny bits from the die-cut to sprinkle around my sentiment which is from Clearly Besotted Stamps («Christmas Sparkle»). I heat embossed it with ZING! «Copper» embossing powder – love that metallic finish!

You will have time until November 30th, 2014 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of over CHF 20.00.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
