Hello Bluebird • July Release • Fishin' Hole

28.07.2018

Hi peeps,

today I'm sharing another card using new products from the latest Hello Bluebird July Release. This card features the adorable Fishin' Hole stamps and companion dies as well as the Gallery Frame #2 Die and Pond Builder Die.

These supplies are just perfect to create a scene. First, I die cut the two frames - the scalloped one from brown cardstock and the other from light brown woodgrain cardstock. Next, I did some ink smooshing and blending with Distress Oxide Inks to create the water and bushes which I cut with one of the Pond Builder dies. I also ink blended the sky directly onto my card base.

I colored the stamped images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I assembled my card, inlaid the die cuts and popped up some of the images with foam tape. Finally, I added some water bubbles with clear «Morning Dew» Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Weekend!

Hello Bluebird • July Release • Bee Happy

19.07.2018

Hello everybody,

it's me again :-) The new Hello Bluebird July Release has the most adorable critter stamps and the Bee Happy set another favorite of mine. I created a hexagon shaped card (using MFT «Hexagon STAX» Die-namics) for the cute little bee.

First, I did some gradient blending with yellow inks. Next, I colored the bee and flowers with Copics and cut them out with the Bee Happy companion dies. I stamped the stitched trail in black and popped up the bee with foam tape. I die cut the letter «B» (lightly colored at the bottom with cool grey Copics) from the brand-new Charlie's Alpha Die set and combined it with the stamped word «happy». Finally, I adhered some glittery Doodlebug Design Golden Sprinkles.

Hello Bluebird • July Release • Otter Friends

Hi peeps,

have you shopped the newest Hello Bluebird July Release yet? Today, I would like to introduce you to another sweet set called Otter Friends. I created a little pond scene and let the adorable otters play with fish.

For the background, I did some watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks. Next, I used the Avery Elle «Oval Burst» die to cut a window from white cardstock. I colored the images with Copics and Prismacolor pencils and used the Otter Friends companion dies to cut them out. This set also includes wave dies so you could tuck something in like I did with the otter.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it onto the card. Then I arranged the cattails around the oval window and finished off my card with Pretty Pink Posh «Sea Glass» crystals.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Will see you later with a second card.

Hello Bluebird • July Release • Moose and Friends

15.07.2018

Hello again,

I have some good news for you – the new Hello Bluebird July Release will be available in just a few hours! You will have to check out all the cuteness!

I made a card highlighting the Moose and Friends set with the most adorable woodland critters.

First, I created an ink blended background using Distress Oxide Inks. I also cut a mask using one of the Grassy Knoll dies. To give the grass part some texture, I added water droplets and ink splatters.

Next, I colored all the images with Copics and adhered some of them with foam tape for more dimension. The large scripty word «celebrate» is from the Cheery Greetings stamp set. I white heat embossed it on vellum and carefully fussy cut it out. I finished off my card with Platinum sequin stars by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #67

Good morning peeps,

summer is in full swing and we have an easy new challenge theme over at the bastel-traum.ch blog«Anything Goes».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until August 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

For my card, I was totally inspired by the gorgeous colors of the Cocoa Vanilla Studio «Bohemian Dream» enamel shapes pack. I think the apricot, aqua and purple go so well together.

I love this cute birdie from the My Favorite Things «Toucan Do It» set and tried some two-tone blending with my Copics. The headband and cuffs are so adorable. I fussy cut the image with scissors leaving a small white border.

For the background, I did some faded ink blending using the MFT «Geometric Grid» stencil and aqua ink colors. I die cut the panel with the second largest «A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 1» Die-namics and adhered it to a «Grapesicle» card base.

I white heat embossed the sentiment onto «Steel Grey» cardstock and cut it with one of the «Stitched Sentiment Strips» Die-namics. I popped up the banner and bird with foam squares and adhered the matching enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay tuned for my second blog post!
