MFT Stamps • February Vault Release Preview

19.02.2024

Happy Monday everyone,

the My Favorite Things Vault is opening up again! So happy to see that they are bringing back some of their basic Die-namics sets which will be essentials in your craft stash. All the products will be available tomorrow at 10 am EDT.

I created a circle shaped card with the Stitched Circle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics and the JB Cupigs Stamp & Die Duo from the January Release.

First, I made a card base from white cardstock using the 4 1/2" circle die from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics set. Next, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (top half: Saltwater Taffy, Tattered Rose; bottom half: Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass).

The stitched circle scallop edge frame was die cut from Kraft Card Stock twice to make it a bit more sturdy. I backed it with a Sno Cone Card Stock circle and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the sweet images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies. The left piggy and clouds were adhered inside the circle frame. While the bird and other pig were popped up with foam tape.

MFT Stamps • January Release Countdown Day 2

06.01.2024

Hi crafty friends,

it's Countdown Day 2 for the My Favorite Things January Release and we have some extra cute products to share today!

I made two tags using the new and versatile Tall Tag Die-namics along with the YUZU Lovely Lions Stamp & Die Duo.

For the tag bases I used patterned paper (Feelin' Festive Paper Pad, Fun Fall Color Blends Paper Pad) and an additional layer of cardstock for sturdiness. The tag toppers were die cut from Red Hot Card Stock and Carribean Sea Card Stock. And for the reinforcements I chose Black Licorice and again Red Hot Card Stock.

Next, I stamped the images (the leaves are from the YUZU Darling Dragons stamp set) in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I stamped two sentiments from the Smooches stamp set in VersaMark Ink onto Black Licorice Card Stock and heat embossed them in white. Finally, I assembled the tags which will make a sweet little gift for a loved one ❤️

MFT Stamps • January Vault Release • Countdown Day 1

30.01.2023

Hello everyone,

it's Countdown Day 1 to tomorrow's My Favorite Things January Vault Release. So happy they are bringing back some of the popular Blueprints Die-namics!

I created a cute Valentine's card using the Blueprints 30 Die-namics set which comes with a rounded frame that has a fun interactive flap.

I cut and scored a white card base slightly taller than A2 and covered the front with a dotted paper from the Feelin' Festive Paper Pad. The rounded frame was cut from the diagonal striped paper. I cut out a small slit on the right side and attached a Cotton Candy Card Stock closure to the flap.

Next, I decorated the flap and inside with the cute previously released YUZU Hunny Bunny stamps and the Label Maker sentiments. I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The label sentiments were stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and I used the matching Label Tape Die-namics to cut them out. I stamped the inside sentiment onto a Summer Splash Card Stock strip. Finally, I adhered all the images and sentiments flat using liquid glue.

Here's a look at what's hidden behind the flap:

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Lovey Dovey

13.01.2022

Hi everyone,

the new Spring Release went live last Friday and it is jam-packed with totally adorable stamps and fabulous dies!

For my first card I used the Lovey Dovey set which comes with beautiful large love-themed sentiments. I picked the precious 'I love you to the moon and back' one and created a night scene around it.

First, I started off with the background and trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to a regular A2 size. I used the smallest of the Tim Holtz Moon Masks and created a radiant blend around the circle using Distress Oxide Inks (Salvaged Patina, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot). I also added the moon texture with the stencil and a light touch of Pumice Stone ink. I let everything dry completely before stamping the sentiment inside the moon with VersaMark Ink. To create a shiny, translucent look I used Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glaze to heat emboss the sentiment.

Next, I die cut the Cityscape Border from black cardstock to mimic house silhouettes in the dark of the night. I also hand cut some yellow paper to go behind it for the tiny enlightened windows. For the ground I trimmed down a dark grey cardstock strip and adhered it as well as the cityscape to my ink blended background.

I fell in love with the new Passionate Penguins Stamps the first time I saw them – they are sooo cute! Of course I had to use them on my card ;-) I stamped the penguins in the car with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some Copic coloring. The image was die cut with the coordinating die and popped up using foam tape. Finally, I die cut three little hearts from pink cardstock and covered them with Glossy Accents.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Meow & Furever

11.02.2021

Hello everyone,

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the adorable Meow & Furever Stamps are perfect to create a lovely card for your sweetheart.

I started off with an A2 landscape card base and cut the stitched frame from the Comic Strip Speech Bubble Die set out of aqua cardstock. I did it twice and layered the two frames on top of each other for more sturdiness.

For the background, I did some faded ink blending using the Distress Oxide Inks Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar. I added lots of tiny Barn Door ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I stamped the kitty images and hearts in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I also picked some small images from three other stamp sets (you can find all the used products below). I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

The sentiments were stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a dark grey cardstock strips and I heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Finally, I assembled my card by adhering everything with liquid glue.

Cats and hearts – Meow & Furever Stamps and Meow & Furever Dies

03.02.2020

Hi crafty friends,

I'm so excited to finally share my happy news! I was invited to be a guest designer for SugarPea Designs and I'm honored to show my projects each Monday this month. I had so much fun creating with their awesome and cute products!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I made a love-themed card combining the Ooh La La stamp set with the SugarCut ParisScape die.

For my sky background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. Next, I die cut the Paris landscape from white cardstock and adhered it at the bottom.

I stamped the adorable croissant with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. I enhanced the shading with Prismacolor pencils and used the coordinating die to cut out the image. For some extra shine, I covered the balloons with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark ink onto a black cardstock banner. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and adhered the banner as well as the image with foam tape. Finally, I added two little hearts which I die cut with the SugarCut You're My Type dies.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge February

05.02.2019

Good morning everyone,

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the new theme for the Stempelgarten Challenge is «Love».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

Have you already seen that some of the popular US brands have been added to the Stempelgarten Online Shop? They now carry Avery Elle, Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant and Sunny Studio Stamps! Makes me sooo happy!

For my love themed card I picked one of the very first Mama Elephant stamp sets I ever bought – it's «Pandamonium» and I still love it!

I stamped the two pandas and a little heart in VersaFine «Onyx Black» ink and did some light coloring with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I fussy cut the images with scissors leaving a small white border.

A couple of weeks ago, I created some Alcohol Ink backgrounds and this pink/red one was just perfect for my card. I die cut a heart (My Favorite Things «Pierced Heart STAX» Die-namics) from a light grey patterned paper (Pinkfresh Studio «Indigo Hills 2») to create a window to go over my bright background. I also cut a strip of black and white striped paper and adhered it to the left.

Next, I stamped the sentiment on a grey cardstock strip with VersaMark ink and white heat embossed it. As it says «kiss kiss, i love u.», I positioned the pandas close to each other to make them look like they are kissing ;-)

You will have time until February 28th, 2019 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Anything Goes».

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Hello Bluebird • Yeti or Not • Yeti Hugs

21.01.2019

Hi crafty friends,

today I'm back with a card using one of the cuties from the Hello Bluebird  Yeti or Not stamp set which of course isn't only for Christmas. I created a simple love themed card and combined this little guy with a gorgeous patterned paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio «More Than Words» 6x6 paper pack.

To match the pretty pastel color scheme, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Milled Lavender). I watered down the Worn Lipstick and added some ink splatters with a paint brush. Next, I used the MFT «Pierced Heart STAX» Die-namics to cut out a big heart which I adhered with foam tape letting it slightly hang over the left edge of the card.

For a change, I stamped the image in Memento «London Fog» ink (thought the grey would go better with the soft colors). I colored the yeti with Copics and used the coordinating die to cut him out.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on grey cardstock and used again one of the
«Pierced Heart STAX» Die-namics to die cut a smaller heart. The yeti and sentiment heart were adhered with foam tape. To finish the card, I added two Doodlebug Tiny Heart Sprinkles.

Thank you for stopping by!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Love Monkey

17.01.2019

Hi everyone,

you probably know that I love critter stamps and the cuties from the new Sunny Studio Stamps Love Monkey set have stolen my heart. With Valentine's Day coming up, I decided to create a love themed card.

I started with an A2 card base cut from blush pink cardstock. Next, I picked some patterned papers in nice coral tones. One is from the Gingham Pastels 6x6 Paper pack and the other from the Flirty Flowers 6x6 Paper pack. I really like how you can mix and match them. I cut the gingham paper slightly smaller than A2 and directly adhered it to the card base.

I wanted the monkeys to sit in a circle window and created it by mounting the floral paper on a piece of fun foam and die cutting a circle. I also die cut one of the Fancy Frames Circle Dies from cardstock and put it on top of the circle opening as an decorative accent.

Now, I stamped the monkey couple as well as the heart balloons from another image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers (colors listed below). I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and glued the balloon strings behind the tails of the monkeys.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink on a black cardstock banner and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, I popped up the monkeys with foam tape and added three die cut hearts next to the sentiment banner.

Copic colors used
Monkeys: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20
E70, E71, E74, E77, E79
Balloons/bow: R000, R20, R21, R22, R24, R27

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #61

15.01.2018

Hi peeps,

today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog and the theme is «Valentine/Love».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until February 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I made this Valentine's card using the adorable otters from the STAMPtember collaboration set «Christmas like no otter» by Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp.

I picked two patterned papers from the «Hello, Love» paper pad by Crate Paper and die cut a heart window out of the light pink one. I used a My Favorite Things stitched rectangle die to cut the paper a bit smaller than the background paper and also added some stitched details with a white gelly roll pen around the heart. Then I adhered it with fun foam for some dimension. The little hearts are from the same otter stamp set.

I kept the card design pretty simple and stamped the sentiment (MFT «More Essential Sentiments») in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and die cut it with one of the MFT «Stitched Sentiment Strips» Die-namics.

I'm joining the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge with this gorgeous Inspiration Board:

I'm also entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Use Patterned Paper».

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #10 | You Melt My Heart

16.02.2016

Hi everyone,

although Valentine's Day is already over, I want to show you another love themed card that I created for the current Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge with the theme «Splats».

For my background I did some Ink Blending with Distress Inks («Abandoned Coral», «Picked Raspberry» and «Spun Sugar»). To create all these fun splatters I loaded my paint brush with the ink and water and flicked the colors over my panel. I also added some white ones using the Studio Calico «Opaque White» Mister Huey's Mist. When everything was completely dry I die-cut my panel using a scalloped and pierced frame from the Winnie & Walter «Essentials: Audrey Cutaways» set.

The sentiment is from the new Outlined Words With Love Chipboard set. I separated the thin outline from the words by cutting the tiny tabs with a craft knife. Then I heat embossed the outline in white and the sentiment in black and put them back together. Zoe has done a really helpful demonstration video which you can find HERE. These outlined words are simply gorgeous and there are many possibilities to use them on your projects.

I die-cut a heart from vellum and tucked it under my chipboard sentiment before I glued it down. To finish off my card I adhered some clear sequins.

You still have time to enter our «Splats» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #37

15.01.2016

Good morning peeps,

we have a new theme for the bastel-traum.ch Challenge that starts today – it is «Valentine».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until February 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I made this colorful Valentine's Day card. Although the warm colors aren't typical for winter or snowmen – to me they are just perfect for anything love related.

I stamped, die-cut and masked off one of the Lawn Fawn «Frilly Frames» and arranged this adorable snowman couple from the «Ready, Set, Snow» stamp set. I colored my cute little scene with Copics

The watercolor background in these vibrant and warm colors was made with three Distress Inks: «Abandoned Coral», «Picked Raspberry» and «Seedless Preserves». I also added some water droplets to create a bit of texture and interest.

When everything was completely dry I stamped the sentiment from the LF «Snow Day» set and heat embossed it in white. I adhered the frame and the watercolor panel with foam tape and added a small die-cut heart which I covered in Glossy Accents.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
