MFT Stamps • February Release Spotlight

29.02.2024

Happy Leap Day,

have you shopped the My Favorite Things February Release yet? Today I'm back with a spotlight card made with the Happiness Comes in Very Small Packages Stamp & Die Duo and the Stitched Rounded Hexagon STAX Die-namics.

I started off by creating a square card base from white cardstock measuring 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". I die cut three different sized hexagons from colored cardstock (Summer Splash, Grapesicle, Sno Cone) and arranged them on the card letting them overlap.

Next, I stamped the bunnies with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut out the images with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the hexagons. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a Gravel Gray Card Stock strip and heat embossed in white.

MFT Stamps • February Release Day

27.02.2024

Hi peeps,

the long awaited day is here! You can now purchase the new products from the My Favorite Things February Release!

On today's card, I'm showcasing the super sweet YUZU You Make Moo So Happy Stamp & Die Duo.

First, I created a regular sized A2 card base from Sno Cone Card Stock. I die cut a piece of Sour Apple Card Stock  with one of the Grassy Edges Die-namics and applied Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink to the bottom edge. I stamped the small grass images in the same ink color.

I stamped the images with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut out everything with the coordinating dies except for the cute cow leaning on the log which I die cut with one of the Heart STAX Die-namics. Next, I masked off the image and blended on Distress Oxides (Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn). I also die cut two white circles in addition to the heart to mimic a thought bubble. The shading was done with Copics.

Finally, I assembled my little scene by adhering the images with liquid glue and stamped the sentiment at the top with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

MFT Stamps • February Release Countdown Day 4

26.02.2024

Happy new week everyone,

we've reached the final Countdown Day for the MFT February Release that will go live tomorrow at 10 am EST! Check out the MFT Blog for today's Design Team projects.

I created another sweet birthday featuring the SY Greatest Present Stamp & Die Duo (illustrated by Stacey Yacula) and the Diamond Frames Die-namics.

First, I created a regular-sized A2 card base from white cardstock. I cut out a purple patterned paper from the Poppin' Polka Dots Paper Pad with the largest largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set. The diamond frame was cut twice from Summer Splash Card Stock and the inlaid diamond piece from Sno Cone Card Stock. I adhered them to the center of the card.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, did some Copic coloring and used the matching dies to cut them out. I partially stamped the sentiment onto a Black Licorice Card Stock strip and heat embossed it in white. I cut it out with a narrow fishtail banner die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set. For a bit of dimension, I popped up the images and sentiment banner with thin foam squares.

On today's CAS birthday card, I combined the Smart Mask - Horizontal Diagonal High/Low Strip Stencil with one of the cuties from the JB Birthday Bites Stamp & Die Duo.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a Poppin' Pink Card Stock banner (Blueprints 27) and I heat embossed it in white.

Next, I stamped the little monsters and spaceship in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I used the matching dies to cut out the images and popped them up with thin foam squares. I finished off the card by adding three small yellow stars (Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics).

09.01.2024

Hi there,

the big day is finally here! You can now purchase all the new goodies from the fab My Favorite Things January Release!

On today's card, I combined two of my favorite crafty techniques – Copic Coloring and Ink Blending with Distress Oxides. The images and sentiment are part of the lovely Paper Planes Stamp & Die Duo.

First, I created a landscape A2 card base from Lazy Day Card Stock. I die cut a white cardstock panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set. Next, I placed the Watercolor Rectangle Stencil on top and secured it slighly at an angle. I did an ink blended sky using Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I removed the stencil and let the blending dry completely before stamping the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Finally, I assembled my little scene using liquid glue and added a purple enamel heart.

MFT Stamps • January Release Countdown Day 3

07.01.2024

Hello everyone,

only two more days until the My Favorite Things January Release hits the store! Please hop over to the MFT Blog for some inspiration.

I just love creating cards with cute critters! So today's card features the Unbearably Sweet Stamp & Die Duo.

First, I cut and scored a landscape A2 card base from white cardstock. I'm so happy that the color Lazy Day is back and had to use it right away. I trimmed down a cardstock panel in this gorgeous blue color and ran it through my die-cutting machine with the largest of the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. In a second pass I also cut out a window using the LJD Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics. For a bit of texture, I splattered the whole panel with blue ink.

I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (Wild Honey, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade) directly on the card base where the window and image will be. After letting it dry, I popped up the Lazy Day Card Stock panel with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, did some Copic coloring and cut everything out with the coordinating dies. Have you seen the teeny tiny ant which I stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink? Finally, I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink onto a Licorice Black Card Stock banner and heat embossed it in white.

The tag toppers were die cut from Red Hot Card Stock and Carribean Sea Card Stock. And for the reinforcements I chose Black Licorice and again Red Hot Card Stock.

Next, I stamped the images (the leaves are from the YUZU Darling Dragons stamp set) in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I stamped two sentiments from the Smooches stamp set in VersaMark Ink onto Black Licorice Card Stock and heat embossed them in white. Finally, I assembled the tags which will make a sweet little gift for a loved one ❤️

MFT Stamps • January Release Countdown Day 1

05.01.2024

Hello everyone,

we're shaking things up for the upcoming My Favorite Things January Release and are moving back to a Countdown. Customers love to see previews of what's coming and the Design Team is happy to share some inspiration before the new products will be available on Tuesday, January 9th at 10 am EST.

For today's teaser, I used the adorable JB Scent-sational Skunks Stamp & Die Duo to create a love-themed card.

First, I cut and scored an A2 card base from Black Licorice Card Stock. From a piece of masking paper I die cut the biggest of the Heart STAX Die-namics and adhered the neagtive to a white cardstock panel. I blended over the whole heart with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. Next, I applied Kitsch Flamingo over it using the Cloud Stencil. I carefully removed the mask and cut the panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set.

This month some retired colors (cardstocks, inks and refills) are making their comeback! I die cut the top of a Carribean Sea Card Stock strip with one of the Grassy Edges Die-namics. I stamped the punny sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed in white. Next, I stamped the sweet skunks in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and adhered them to the card. The clouds were stamped in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink to match the stenciled cloudy heart. I cut them out with the matching dies and added them to my little scene.

MFT Stamps • January Vault Release Spotlight

03.01.2024

Hi sweet friends,

we're shining a spotlight on the My Favorite Things January Vault Release that went live yesterday! Please hop over to the MFT Blog for today's DT inspiration.

I created a card with the Heart STAX Die-namics, the Mini Delicate Doilies Die-namics and a sentiment from the Candy Jar Companions stamp set.

I started off with a card base made from Gravel Gray Card Stock and die cut three of the intricate doilies from the same color for a subtle tone-on-tone look. Next, I die cut each of the hearts from another cardstock color (Summer Splash, Tropical Teal, Ripe Raspberry, Cotton Candy and Sno Cone). I stacked them on top of each other and adhered them to the card base, slightly shifted to the right. I cut off the excess with my paper trimmer.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock stripe and I heat embossed it in white. I cut it out with a banner die from the Blueprints 28 Die-namics set which is another of the re-released products. Finally, I popped up the sentiment banner with thin foam squares.

02.01.2024

Happy New Year everyone,

the My Favorite Things Vault is cracking open again! All the re-released products are now ready to shop!

This release is jam-packed with lots of love-themed stamps and dies. On today's card, I combined the Full of Heart Die-namics, the Heart STAX Die-namics and the So Much Love stamp set.

First, I started off with an A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. I cut the heart Full of Heart die from it and popped out all the little hearts. Onto a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, I applied Distress Mica Stain sprays to create a pink and purple background. I let it dry completely and glued it behind the heart cut-out panel.

I stamped the sentiment and heart trio on white cardstock using three different Premium Dye Ink colors (Grape Jelly, Ripe Raspberry, Cotton Candy). I cut it out with one of the Heart STAX dies and adhered it with foam tape to the center of the card.
