Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Victorian Christmas

29.10.2020

Hello everyone,

I'm slowly building up my stash of holiday cards and created this one with the Victorian Christmas mini stamp set.

This darling house which is decorated for the holidays can be used with the older Christmas Home Stamps. Since I don't own this set, I used the City Street Stamps (car, lamp post and dog) instead to build my little winter scene.

For the night background, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I let it dry and sprinkled on white paint with a brush. Next, I die cut a snow hill using the stitched border from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set. The sentiment was stamped in Barn Door Distress Oxide Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I picked two tree images from other stamp sets (Winter Scenes and Scenic Route) and stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did some Copic coloring and cut out the images with the matching dies or with my scissors.

Finally, I assembled my card using liquid glue and foam adhesive.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Retro Ornaments

22.10.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm featuring the Retro Ornaments Stamps from another great layering stamp set. I tried to use it in a more modern way with a different color scheme. I really like non-traditional colors like pink and turquoise for Christmas.

I started off with a card base that measures 4.5" x 5.75" and also cut an extra white cardstock panel to the same size. To create a frame, I used the stitched die from the Frilly Frames Herringbone Die set. I covered the front of the card with one of the Subtle Grey Tones papers.

Next, I stamped the layered ornaments with dye inks (you can find the colors listed below). For the hanger thingies at the top, I did some heat embossing with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the ornaments.

Of course, I needed something to attach them to, so I stamped a couple of pine tree sprigs from the Classy Christmas set in green inks mixing the shades directly on the stamp. I cut them out with the matching dies and arranged them to a cluster that stretches over the top of the card.

I attached shiny aqua strings to the ornaments and adhered them to the card background. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Surfing Santa set with Liquid Platinum as well. For some dimension, I popped up the sprigs and the white frame with foam tape. To finish off my card, I added two mirrored stars as embellishments.

Altenew Dye Inks used
pink ornament: Pinkalicious, Rubellite
turquoise ornament: Dew Drop, Aqualicious, Teal Cave
patterned ornament: Cotton Candy, Ruby Red, Galactic Stream
pine tree sprigs: Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • North Pole

15.10.2020

Hello everyone,

today I have a clean and simple holiday card for you using the North Pole Stamps. Mrs. Claus and Santa are just the cutest!

For the background, I picked a striped paper from the Holiday Cheer Paper pack and trimmed it down with the stitched rectangle die included in the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. I also die cut a circle from white cardstock and masked off the upper two thirds. To create the ground, I blended on Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, did some Copic coloring and cut them out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink below the images which I adhered with liquid glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Holy Night

08.10.2020

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing a card made with the sweet nativity stamp set called Holy Night. I especially adore the little baby Jesus and the cute animals!

I started with creating the snowy night sky background by blending together the Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Pine Needles and a tiny bit of Black Soot. I let it dry and added white paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut two snow hills using the stitched border dies from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set. I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass ink and trimmed them down to layer on top of each other.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Finally, I assembled my nativity scene by adhering the images and adding two small star sequins (Rainbow Star Confetti).

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge October

06.10.2020

Boo everyone,

today I'm sharing my spooky cute card for the current Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme Halloween.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

Since I don't own that many Halloween stamps, I combined the Lawn Fawn sets "Monster Mash" and "Spooktacular" to create this fun scene. The tiny witch hat is from the "Holiday Party Animal" set.

For the dramatic background, I did some stenciling with the My Favorite Things "Cloud" stencil and the Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I added a couple of small ink splatters with a paint brush.

Next, I die cut the grass border from the Sunny Studio Stamps "Comic Strip Everyday Dies" set from MFT "Gravel Grey" cardstock. The two Sunny Studio Stamps "Rustic Winter" birch trees were die cut from black cardstock. I also cut out a window from a white cardstock panel using the largest of the Sunny Studio Stamps "Stitched Semi-Circle Dies". To add the stitched detail to the outside edge as well, I used one of the MFT "A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax 1" Die-namics.

I stamped my images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. As a little accent, I added a white die cut heart next to the sentiment.

Finally, I assembled my card by adhering all the images and die-cuts with liquid glue. I really like how the window opening frames the scene perfectly.

You will have time until October 31st, 2020 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Good night!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Fall/Winter Release • Bountiful Autumn

01.10.2020

Hello everyone,

it has cooled down quite a bit and fall is approaching. Today I'm sharing a card made with the Bountiful Autumn Stamps.

I started off with a Kraft card base and picked four colors of cardstock to create a striped background. I cut several strips (1 inch and 1/2 inch wide) from each color and adhered them at an angle to a piece of copy paper. I trimmed off the excess and die cut the panel with the stitched rectangle die included in the Frilly Frames Retro Petal Dies set.

I stamped the turkey, fruits, vegetables and leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Next, I die cut a circle from heavyweight vellum and stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder which is perfect for fall. I arranged all the images at the bottom half of the vellum circle and adhered them with liquid glue. I also hid some adhesive behind the vellum. Finally, I added three glitter enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a gorgeous day!
