Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Make A Wish

28.02.2019

Hello everyone,

I always need birthday cards in my stash and the Sunny Studio Studio Make A Wish set is just perfect for this occasion.

First, I created a fun Alcohol Ink background on glossy cardstock and cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and white heat embossed it. I adhered the panel to my top-folding A2 card base made from light grey cardstock.

I white heat embossed the cake images on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored them with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. To embellish my card, I added crystals by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Hello Bluebird • February Release • Spring Gatherings

24.02.2019

Happy Sunday everyone,

today I'm on the Hello Bluebird blog sharing a project made with the Spring Gatherings set and Basic Borders Die from the latest February Release. I also used the Stitched Tag Builder Die and the Partial Die Cutting technique to extend the height to create a bookmark instead of a tag.

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Puppy Parents

21.02.2019

Happy Thursday everyone,

today I'm showcasing the sweet Sunny Studio Stamps Puppy Parents set. I created a masculine card for Father's Day.

I started with an A2 top-folding card base made from teal cardstock. Next, I ran a piece of navy cardstock in the Quilted Hearts Embossing Folder through my die-cutting machine. For a change, I decided to use the debossed side. I cut a strip of yellow patterned paper from the Dots & Stripes Pastels 6x6 Paper pack and adhered it over my embossed panel.

I stamped the cute dogs and fun accessories in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. I die cut two circles from white and red (as a mat) cardstock. For the background of my little scene, I did some masking and light ink blending with Distress Oxides (Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn).

I used three of the text stamps which are included in the set to create my custom sentiment. The "thanks daddy" was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink next to the doghouse. I stamped the other sentiment in VersaMark Ink on a small strip of teal cardstock and white heat embossed it. To finish off my card, I adhered two little die-cut hearts.

Hello Bluebird • February Release • Portrait Pals

16.02.2019

Hi peeps,

the fab Hello Bluebird February Release went live yesterday! Today I have this card for you highlighting the awesome Portrait Pals set. I only used three of the six critters that are included in the set and they are so much fun to color!

First, I created a radient sky background by ink blending Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch) on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Next, I stamped the images with  Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The Photo Stack Die which is also part of the new release goes perfectly with these critters. I die cut the frames twice from white cardstock and stacked them together for more sturdiness. The die set also comes with the word "smile" that I cut from an ink blended left-over piece as well as two little hearts (included in the Gallery Frame Die #1).

I white heat embossed one of the new Typed Everyday sentiments on a thin strip of black cardstock. Finally, I assembled my card by tucking the leaves under the photo frames and adhering all the pieces at an angle for some interest.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Miss Moo

14.02.2019

Hi everyone,

today I'm back with a new card for the Sunny Studio Stamps blog. For a change, I created a circle shaped card using the adorable Miss Moo Stamps. To build a little scene, I combined the sweet cow with the mountains from the Alpaca Holiday set and the clouds from the Comic Strip Everyday Dies.

First, I created a round card base from light grey cardstock using a 4 3/16 inch circle die. For the scene background, I die cut two circles from patterned paper (purple: Spring Sunburst 6x6 Paper; teal: Gingham Pastels 6x6 Paper).

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I adhered the mountain row right over the edge where the two patterned papers meet.

To frame my scene, I die cut one of the Fancy Frames Circle Dies from white cardstock. I doubled up the frames for a little dimension. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink on a strip of black cardstock and white heat embossed it. I adhered the cow and sentiment with foam tape and added a tiny die cut heart to the middle cloud.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a fabulous day!

Hello Bluebird • February Release • Easter Egg Hunt

13.02.2019

Hi crafty friends,

only two more days and the new Hello Bluebird February Release will be available! Today I'm showcasing the sweet Easter Egg Hunt set.

I created a happy spring scene combining the cute images with some previously released products. I stamped the Country Gingham Background in light pink and die cut a grass border (Grassy Knoll Die) from green watercolor patterned paper.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. To frame my scene, I cut the scalloped stitched die from the Gallery Frame #2 set from pink cardstock. Finally, I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock which I die cut with the little banner that is included in the Stitched Tag Builder Die set.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you soon!

Hello Bluebird • February Release • Party Parade

12.02.2019

Hello everyone,

today I'm back with a slimline card featuring the Hello Bluebird Party Parade set which will be released this Friday.

I had so much fun coloring all these cute critters with my Copics. I also stamped the music notes in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and cut the images out with the companion dies. To keep the design simple, I blended the top (Tumbled Glass) and bottom (Antique Linen) of a Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock panel with Distress Oxide Inks. I adhered the bunny, elephant and duck with foam tape to put them visually in the foreground.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay tuned for another preview tomorrow!

Hello Bluebird • February Release • Banner Buddies

11.02.2019

Hi peeps,

a new Hello Bluebird release, jam-packed with awesome Spring and Easter goodies, is coming on Friday, February 15th. The DT will share previews each day and today we're starting with the adorable Banner Buddies.

I stamped the cute critters and pretty floral images with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and watercolored them with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

To mimic a pastel spring sky in the background, I did some watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers) on a Distress Watercolor Cardstock panel. I also added a couple of random ink splatters with a paint brush. Next, I blended together Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover on a strip of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I sprinkled on some water to lift the color here and there. I then used one of the Grassy Knoll dies to create a grass border which I popped up with foam tape.

Included in the new release is the Vertical Banner Die. I die cut the banner from Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and stamped the banner outline (Banner Buddies) as well as one of the Spring Banner Script sentiments in VersaMark. I heat embossed it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I masked off the edges and did some faded ink blending with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides. The banner hanger was cut from Kraft cardstock.

Finally, I assembled my card. I adhered the banner, birds and the bunch of flowers with foam tape to create dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

Hello Bluebird • Frosty Littles • Shaker Tag

07.02.2019

Hi again,

I had a left-over piece of an Alcohol Ink background on my table and decided to create a fun little shaker tag using one of the Hello Bluebird Frosty Littles and the Stitched Tag Builder Die.

I colored the cute snowman with Copics and cut him out with the coordinating die. I die cut the tag twice from Petrol cardstock. To create the shaker window, I cut out the stitched rectangle from one of the tags and adhered a piece of acetate behind the opening. I filled my shaker with a sequins mix by Little Things from Lucy's Cards. I also die cut a little snow hill from white glitter paper and adhered it on top of the shaker window with my frosty fellow.

I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Skating Together set on a vellum strip and cut it out with the little banner die included in the Stitched Tag Builder Die set. I die cut a second banner from light blue cardstock and the small pink reinforcement thingy that goes over the tag hole.

Finally, I adhered an organza ribbon and tight a bow with natural jute string where I attached the banners.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a relaxing evening!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Spring Release • Spring Greetings

Hello everyone,

are you ready for spring like I am? So today I have the matching card for you ;-)

It features the adorable Spring Greetings Stamps – a wonderful 2x3 mini set with two bunnies, a tulip and a scripty sentiment. I created a little spring scene and added the chick and easter egg basket from the Chubby Bunny set.

I started with an A2 landscape top-folding card base made from white cardstock. I die cut the pink patterned paper from the Gingham Pastels 6x6 Paper pack using a stitched rectangle die. Next, I did some faded ink blending for the sky with «Tumbled Glass» Distress Oxide Ink on a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock. I let it dry completely and stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger.

To frame my scene, I die cut one of the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies from white cardstock. I used the grassy border from the Comic Strip Everyday Dies set and cut it from the green grid patterned paper.

Now, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. I tucked the tulips behind the grass border and popped up the chick, bunny and basket with foam tape.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge February

05.02.2019

Good morning everyone,

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the new theme for the Stempelgarten Challenge is «Love».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

Have you already seen that some of the popular US brands have been added to the Stempelgarten Online Shop? They now carry Avery Elle, Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant and Sunny Studio Stamps! Makes me sooo happy!

For my love themed card I picked one of the very first Mama Elephant stamp sets I ever bought – it's «Pandamonium» and I still love it!

I stamped the two pandas and a little heart in VersaFine «Onyx Black» ink and did some light coloring with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I fussy cut the images with scissors leaving a small white border.

A couple of weeks ago, I created some Alcohol Ink backgrounds and this pink/red one was just perfect for my card. I die cut a heart (My Favorite Things «Pierced Heart STAX» Die-namics) from a light grey patterned paper (Pinkfresh Studio «Indigo Hills 2») to create a window to go over my bright background. I also cut a strip of black and white striped paper and adhered it to the left.

Next, I stamped the sentiment on a grey cardstock strip with VersaMark ink and white heat embossed it. As it says «kiss kiss, i love u.», I positioned the pandas close to each other to make them look like they are kissing ;-)

You will have time until February 28th, 2019 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Anything Goes».

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
