MFT Stamps • March Release Countdown Day 2

05.03.2023

Hello everyone,

only 2 more days until the My Favorite Things March Release goes live. Please check out today's product reveals and inspiring DT projects over on the MFT Blog.

I made a sweet Baby card combining the It's a Baby Die-namics and the Oh, Baby! stamps.

First, I covered the front of an A2 landscape card base with one of the new Diagonal Gingham papers. I die cut a white cardstock panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. At the bottom, I stamped the large sentiment in Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.

Next, I die cut the diaper, onesie and bib from pastel colored cardstock (Sno Cone, Grapesicle and Princess Pink) and did some shading with Copics. I decorated each of the baby clothes with a cute little critter. For a bit of dimension, I adhered the die-cuts with foam tape above the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a lovely Sunday!

GD Sunny Studio Stamps • Baby Elephants

13.08.2022

Hi everyone,

I'm so honored to be back again as a guest over on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm featuring the absolutely adorable Baby Elephants Stamps.

For my first card, I created a summer scene by combining two of the elephants with the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die.

First, I created an A2 landscape card base from white heavyweight cardstock. I then die cut all the pieces for my beach scene and started on working on the background. I masked off the bottom to create a horizont and stenciled the clouds with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. The gradient ink blending for the water was done with Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I colored the sand (Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap) and palm trees (Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot) with Distress Oxide Inks as well. The sea gulls were die cut from light grey cardstock.

I stamped the elephants in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating Baby Elephants Dies. The sentiment (Inside Greetings Birthday Stamps) was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a turquoise cardstock strip and heat embossed in white.

Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the die cuts and images. I layered two of the white stitched frames on top of each other for a bit of dimension.

Of course, I also had to make a Baby card with the sweet elephant sleeping in the clouds.

I started off with a lilac A2 card base and picked the purple starry patterned paper from the Surprise Party 6x6 Paper Pack. I die cut it with the full-size A2 stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. To create a window opening, I used the second largest of the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies.

For the purple night sky background, I did some circular ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet and Milled Lavender). I used the cloudy border from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set and cut it from white cardstock. I added Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the top edge.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with their matching dies. I arranged and glued down everything behind the semi-circle window and popped up the starry patterned paper panel with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock fishtail banner and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered it below the elphant image to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing weekend!

MFT Stamps • April Release Countdown Day 2

10.04.2022

Hello sweet friends,

only 2 more days until the My Favorite Things April Release goes live. Don't miss all the inspiration and product reveals over on the MFT Blog.

I created an One Layer Card with the adorable Number Fun – 1 stamps illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller.

First, I stamped the little scene in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink – once on white cardstock and the second time on masking paper to protect the images. I ink blended the background with Distress Oxides (night sky: Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire; grass: Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness).

After carefully removing the masks, I colored the images with Copics. The birthday sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I trimmed down the card panel and adhered it to a square card base made from Sno Cone Card Stock.

For even more ideas, product details and tutorials, please visit the MFT YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy a relaxing Sunday!

Sunny Studio Stamps • Summer Release • Baby Card

09.07.2020

Hi everyone,

when I saw the sweet elephant included in the Savanna Safari set, I knew I wanted to switch things up a bit and create a CAS slimline baby card. I went with a monochromatic pink and purple color scheme to welcome a little baby girl.

I stamped the elephant three times in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto polka dot patterned paper from the Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper pack. I cut them out with the coordinating die and added white details to the eyes and the feet with a gelly roll pen.

For the ground, I masked off two thirds of some Bristol cardstock and blended on the Distress Oxide Inks Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord. I let it dry completely and stamped the sentiment from the Coastal Cuties set in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Finally, I adhered the Bristol cardstock panel to a purple card base, popped up the elephants with foam tape and added matching Pink & Purple Heart Confetti clay embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hello Bluebird • Background Bash • Day 1

24.07.2019

Hello everyone,

I have some exciting news for you – Hello Bluebird will be releasing 6 new background stamps on Friday, July 26th! We're doing a fun Background Bash sharing our DT cards using previously released and brand-new backgrounds.

For my baby card, I picked one of my all time favorites which is the Country Gingham Background Stamp.

First, I stamped the gingham pattern in Altenew "Dew Drop" dye ink. I also silver heat embossed the sentiment from the Cheery Greetings set. Although it's not visible on the photo, I used the die-cut overlay technique. This means, I used the coordinating die of this cute giraffe from the More Jungle Littles set and cut it out of the gingham background. I stamped the giraffe using the negative as a guide and colored it with Copics. I layered the gingham panel over the image and adhered it with foam tape.

To finish off this CAS card, I die cut the 'hello' word die (Gallery Frame #1 set) from teal cardstock and adhered it between the giraffe and the embossed sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow with another sample!

Hello Bluebird • Hello Little One

30.05.2018

Hi crafty friends,

today I'm back with a sweet Baby card that I made by mixing and matching several Hello Bluebird stamps.

I love coloring these cute critter images! The elephant is from the Jungle Littles set, the duck comes from the newly released Puddle Play set and the little snail you find in the Springtime set. I also added the balloon from the Silly Birds set. I cut all images out with their companion dies.

For the light yellow pattern, I stamped the pretty Country Gingham Background and cut it with a stitched rectangle die by My Favorite Things. I also die cut a stitched frame from yellow cardstock to set my critters in scene. I adhered the images with foam tape for a little bit of dimension.

Next, I die cut the word «hello» (which you can find in the Gallery Frame Die #1 set) from light grey cardstock. I layered three die cuts on top of each other. I heat embossed the «little one» sentiment from the Cheery Greetings set with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. To embellish my card, I adhered three silver star sequins by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes: Welcome Leonie

14.10.2017

Good morning,

today I have a very special card which I made for a dear friend who gave birth to a sweet baby girl a couple of days ago. I created this customized card for her using the My Favorite Things «LLD Bundle of Baby Clothes» Die-namics.

I had so much fun die cutting, paper piecing and putting all these cute baby clothes together. I used patterned paper from the MFT «Sweet Celebration» and the «Dots & Stripes Sorbet» 6x6 Paper Packs. I framed the little scene with a stitched scallop die cut that I made using two dies from the «Blueprints 27» set. I popped up all the die cuts with foam tape, so it looks like the clothes are really hanging on the line.

For the pastel background, I softly blended together three light ink colors: «Tumbled Glass» Distress Ink, «Insulation Pink» and «Bubblegum» Premium Dye Ink by MFT. I stamped the German sentiment (which means «Welcome»; Stampin' Up! «Kleiner Wort-Schatz») and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

I stamped and colored the adorable little bear from the «Snuggle Bunnies» set and adhered him to the frame. To spell out the baby girl's name, I used some very old Quickutz Alphabet dies. I finished off my card by adding lots of shiny Nuvo Jewel Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #57

15.09.2017

Happy Friday everyone,

today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch Blog and we have a Recipe/Tic Tac Toe chart for you.
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
Feel free to pick any three themes in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) to create your project.

This challenge will run until October 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

For my Hello Baby card, I chose the upper horizontal row: Polka Dots • Ribbon • Embossing.

I stamped the cute teepee tent from the Stampin' Up! «Little One» set in «Night of Navy» ink and fussy cut it with scissors. For the white background panel, I used the SU «Large Polka Dot» embossing folder. The patterned papers, which I cut with MFT stitched dies, are by SU, Studio Calico and Create A Smile.

The simple «Hello» sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I also die cut the word «baby» (still one of my favorite Simon Says Stamp dies) three times from navy cardstock. After stacking the die cuts on top of each other, I clear heat embossed it two times to give it a glossy finish.

I tied a bow with some May Arts natural jute string (OK, in fact, that's not really a ribbon *tee-hee*) before adhering the whole design to my navy card base. To finish off the card, I added three wood veneer stars by Studio Calico.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #50

15.02.2017

Good morning everyone,

it's already time for another challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch Blog. We invite you to choose between or even combine the themes «Birthday / Birth / White and one color of your choice»
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until March 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I made a CAS card to welcome a baby girl by re-creating this card which I made almost 3 years ago ;-)

I cut four strips from different shades of pink Stampin' Up! cardstock using a My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 die. Next, I temporarily adhered them to a piece of scratch paper with the same spacing in between. I placed the Papertrey Ink «Wonderful Words: Baby» die on top of my ombré stripes and run it through my die-cutting machine. I carefully removed the die and made sure I didn't loose any of the tiny cut-outs from between the letters.

To create some dimension, I die cut the word «baby» five times from white cardstock and stacked all layers on top of each other. I adhered it to my card base at an angle and then inlaid the cardstock stripes. It really took a little patience, but it was so worth it in the end. Finally, I added a white heat embossed sentiment (which means «Congratulations»; Dani Peuss Klartext-Stempel «Glückwunsch») and a small die-cut heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Welcome Baby Girl

01.09.2016

Hello peeps,

sorry for not posting regularly but sometimes life gets in the way ;-)

Today I want to share a card with you that I made to welcome a new sweet baby girl.

Over the years, I collected hoarded tons of patterned paper. I really think I should use them more often. The papers and also the tag are from the cute «Little You» collection by Crate Paper. The Stampin' Up! «Basic Gray» cardstock is the perfect match.

While cleaning up my craft room, I found this adorable bunny stamp from TOGA and used Altenew Crisp Dye Ink and Prismacolor Pencils to color it. The sentiments are from the Lawn Fawn «Little Bundle» stamp set. I assembled the card using foam tape for more dimension and also added some sequins.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy STAMPtember!

May Pinterest Inspired Challenge

01.05.2016

Hello everyone,

long time, no see! I do not have a lot of crafty time these days but I'm glad that I was able to make a card for the new Pinterest Inspired Challenge.

http://pinterestinspiredchallenge.blogspot.ch/

This is the fabulous inspiration photo for May:

Love these gorgeous scattered and overlapping watercolor squares. At first I wanted to create something similar. But then I came across the «Mini Star Shower» stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and decided to go with the rainbow colors only. So this is my take:

I created a Baby card using one of the My Favorite Things «Adorable Elephants» that I colored with Copics. For the star background I sponged some Avery Elle Pigment Inks through the stencil. It's fantastic how you can mix & match the sentiments from the versatile MFT «Label Maker Love» stamp set. I stamped the words in MFT «Black Licorice» Hybrid Ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I popped up the elephant and die-cut words with foam tape and rounded all four corners of my card. Finally, I added some «Sparkling Clear Sequins» by Pretty Pink Posh.

Enter your project(s) until Wednesday, May 25th at 11:55pm EST. For all the challenge details and the inspiring work of my lovely team mates please hop over to the PIC blog. I'm looking forward to see your creations!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Sunday!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge October

05.10.2015

Hi everyone,

we have a new theme for the Stempelgarten Challenge – this month it's all about «Dies».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I created a Baby card for a sweet little boy using dies from Impression Obsession (Stork), My Favorite Things (Cross-Stitched Rectangle) and Simon Says Stamp (Baby).

The patterned paper in this beautiful turquoise color is from Bazzill Basics Paper. I die-cut the word «baby» from silver foil cardstock and heat embossed the little stamped «hello» (also from SSS). I added silver star sequins and a tiny die-cut star around the sentiment.

This challenge will run until October 31st, 2015 and you can win a voucher with a value of CHF 20.– for the Stempelgarten Online Shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Homework OCC | Watercolor: Exploring Mediums | Day 2

29.09.2015

Hi everyone,

Today I want to show you my homework for the Online Card Class Watercolor for Card Makers: Exploring Mediums.

http://onlinecardclasses.com/watercolorEM/class-info/

I made a Baby card for Day 2 where Kristina Werner showed us how to do No-Line Watercoloring with Distress Inks.

At first I stamped the elephant, bunny and soap bubbles from the cute Mama Elephant «Ella & Friends» stamp set in «Pumice Stone». To get a lighter impression of the images for the no-line coloring look I stamped them on a piece of scratch paper first. Then I stamped the 2nd generation onto my Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I colored the elephant with «Iced Spruce» and the bunny with «Pumice Stone». For the light blue wash around the images I used my one and only ;-) Kuretake ZIG Clean Color Real Brush (036 – Light Blue).

The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant «Just Hatched» stamp set and I heat embossed it with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger. I used the largest «Stitched Rectangle» die from Simon Says Stamp to cut my watercolor panel. I also die-cut the ME «Femme Frames» scalloped rectangle from blue cardstock and adhered everything to a grey card base.

I embellished my card with two paper banners and a tiny blue die-cut heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #325

19.05.2015

Good morning everyone,

it's time for another Everybody-Art-Challenge and the new theme is «Not angular/square».

I think, you could create some shaped cards using circle or heart dies. OK, I cheated a bit and used a corner rounder on my creation ;o)

For my Baby card, I did some Tone-on-Tone Stamping. These cute animals are from the Stampin' Up! «Zoo Babies» set and I stamped them with Simon Says Stamp dye inks onto SU cardstock. Then I did some fun Inlaid Die-Cutting. The SSS «Stitched Circles» are just perfect for this technique because they have this gorgeous stitching detail on the inside and also on the outside. The sentiment (which means «Welcome little sunshine») is from a German manufacturer called Alexandra Renke and I heat embossed it in «Liquid Platinum» from Ranger. Finally, I added a couple of heat embossed stars from Mama Elephant's «Make a Wish» stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a great week!

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #297

21.10.2014

Good morning folks,

it's Tuesday again and we have a new theme over at the Everybody-Art-Challenge
we want to see «Flags» on your projects.

OK, my flags are more likely banners ;o)

I created a baby boy card. By adding the newborn's name to the banners (Simon Says Stamp «Party Banner» die) I could easily personalize my card. I used the tiny alpha stickers from Lily Bee Designs. The giraffe and the elephant were cut from patterned paper (Stampin' Up!) with those lovely dies by Die-Versions. I adhered them with foam tape in two different depths. The beautiful German sentiment (which means «Welcome little sunshine») is by Alexandra Renke. I stamped it in «Midnight Muse» which is from Stampin' Up! as well as the cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

15.07.2014

Hallo zusammen,

Und wisst Ihr was?!

DT-Card Everybody-Art-Challenge #279

20.05.2014

Guten Morgen meine Lieben,

DT-Card Everybody-Art-Challenge #270

18.03.2014

Guten Morgen Ihr Lieben,

DT-Card Stamp with Fun Challenge #226

30.09.2013

Guten Morgen Ihr Lieben,

von Stampin' Up!

Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge
R#143 – Anything Goes
Deep Ocean Challenge
Challenge #61 – For A Baby

For a boy!

GDT-Card CMD Blog ~ Hallo Baby

16.08.2013

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
