SSS + MFT STAMPtember 2023 Exclusive Collaboration

23.09.2023

Hello again,

today I have the honor to join the ongoing month-long party called STAMPtember hosted by Simon Says Stamp. I'm excited to share my card made with the exclusive collaboration set Sweet Safari designed by My Favorite Things.

Please note that this limited edition is only available while supplies last! Feel free to click on either link or pic to shop.

Stamps only

Stamps + Dies Combo

First, I created an A2 landscape card base from white cardstock and applied Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the background. For the sandy hill, I used one of the Sand and Surf Die-namics and a piece of patterned paper from the MSTN Sand, Surf, & Sky Paper Pad. The grass, was done by blending Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink. Then I used one of the Grassy Edges Die-namics to die cut the top.

Next, I stamped the images in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. Since I didn't have the coordinating dies, I fussy cut everything out with scissors ;-) I assembled the scene by adhering the images as well as the sand and grass die cut elements. Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments at the top right using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a ton of fun!

SSS + MFT STAMPtember Exclusive Collaboration

22.09.2022

Hi peeps,

today I have the honor to join the ongoing month-long party called STAMPtember hosted by Simon Says Stamp. I'm excited to share my card with you that I made with the exclusive collaboration set from My Favorite Things.

The special collaboration set is called Owl-ways My Favorite. Please note that this limited edition set is only available while supplies last! Feel free to click on either link or picture to shop.

Stamp + Die Combo

For my CAS card, I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. I used one of the SSS Nested Hearts Dies to cut out a window.

I did an ink blended background with Distress Oxides directly onto the white card base. The ink colors I used are Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina, Milled Lavender and Tattered Rose. I also splattered on white paint with a brush and let it dry completely. Then, I stamped one of the sentiments in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Next, I stamped two of the owls, the branch and the tiny heart in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them with scissors (there are coordinating dies available in the stamp+die combo set).

To create a bit of dimension, I popped up the heart window panel as well as the images with foam tape. I adhered some embellishments in matching colors to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a lovely day!

DT Stempelgarten Challenge March

05.03.2020

Hi peeps,

today starts a new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme Easter is just around the corner.

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I used the cute chicks and bunny from the Mama Elephant "Party Animals" set. I masked off the party hats and drew in the missing lines with a black Copic Multiliner pen.

I also stamped the carrot from the Mama Elephant "Honey Bunny" set and the easter egg from the Sunny Studio Stamps "Chickie Baby" set. Next, I colored all images with Copics and fussy cut them out with scissors.

For the background, I did some ink blending and stenciling. I masked off the bottom of the Bristol cardstock panel and blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers. I placed the Simon Says Stamp "Medium Dots" stencil over it and sponged through the same colors of ink to create a subtle pattern.

I stamped the Easter sentiment from Lawn Fawn "Easter Party" set in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with WOW! "Bluetiful" embossing powder. Finally, I adhered the images with foam tape.

You will have time until March 31st, 2020 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #71

15.11.2018

Good morning,

Eep! Only 38 days til Christmas! So let me invite you to join the new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog with the theme «Christmas/Winter».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until December 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I inked up the adorable Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember set «Merry Mail» they did in collaboration with Mama Elephant.

For the soft sky background, I ink blended some pastel Distress Oxide colors (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar). I added water droplets to create a little bit texture. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out.

When the background was completely dry, I white heat embossed the large word «merry». Next, I cut the cloud border with one of the Mama Elephant «Landscape Trio» dies. I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder before adhering the clouds with foam tape. To finish off my card, I added a tiny red heart next to the sentiment.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge November

05.11.2018

Good morning,

YAY! The Stempelgarten Challenge is finally back! The new theme for November is «Favorite Colors».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

How fun is this sweet My Favorite Things «Cool Christmas» stamp set?! I had to have it from the moment I saw it!

My favorite colors are aqua/turquoise, blue and bold colors in general. But I also like plain white and neutrals like my favorite light grey «Fog» cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I tried to incorporate my favorites in this Christmas card.

First, I sponged the background with «Tumbled Glass» Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut the row of houses (MFT «Our Town» Die-namics) and the road (MFT «Open Road» Die-namics) to help build a scene for my snowmen car. I heat embossed the sentiment with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

I stamped the images with VersaFine «Onyx Black» ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and colored them with ZIG Clean Color Real Brushes. For a little bit of dimension, I popped up the car and one of the trees with foam tape. I also adhered a small die-cut heart to one of the houses.

You will have time until November 30th, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Anything Goes».

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start to the new week!

Hello Bluebird • Frosty Friends • Let It Snow

11.10.2018

Hello everyone,

only one more day til the new Hello Bluebird October Release will be available! As I did not have the chance to play with the goodies yet, I'm sharing a card with one of my very first Hello Bluebird stamp sets – Frosty Friends.

First, I stamped the Country Gingham Background in «Fog» dye ink onto a piece of «Fog» cardstock (both by Simon Says Stamp). I adhered the panel with fun foam to a top folding card base made from the same cardstock.

For my snowy background, I blended together the two Distress Oxide Inks «Shaded Lilac» and «Tumbled Glass» on some Bristol cardstock. I splattered on white paint to mimic falling snow, let it dry completely and cut it with a circle die. I also added a snow hill cut from white glitter paper.

Next, I colored the adorable snowman and birdie from the Pig Day set with Copics and added details with Prismacolor pencils. I stamped the speech bubble in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and cut out the images with their companion dies.

To complete my winter scene, I cut the Halloween Tree Die from plain white cardstock and adhered it with foam tape as well as the images. I finished off this card by adding Nuvo «White Blizzard» Glitter Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Will be back soon with a 2nd card ;-)

Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers Happy Wedding

24.08.2018

Happy Friday everyone,

hubby needed a wedding card for a co-worker and I was glad to finally get to play with the amazing Simon Says Stamp «Beautiful Flowers» stamp set.

This gorgeous floral cluster is huge and I stamped it in VersaMark on «Petal Pink» cardstock by Stampin' Up! and heat embossed it in white. For the first time, I tried some coloring with Polychromos pencils (I only own 3 so far). I wanted to keep it soft and monochrome, so I only added shadows and minimal highlights.

The scripty sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set by Altenew and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I matted the panel onto SU «Gray Granite» cardstock and used the same light pink cardstock for my card base. To embellish the card, I adhered «Ice Cube Jewels» by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello Bluebird • Farmyard Little Bits • Party

30.06.2018

Hi everyone,

today I want to show you a card featuring the Farmyard Little Bits set from the Hello Bluebird May release. Aren't these cows and pigs just the cutest?!

First, I colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the Farmyard Little Bits companion dies. I stamped the background with the Stampin' Up! «Brushstrokes» in Simon Says Stamp «Fog» ink. I simply love this light grey color! Then I used the Avery Elle «Circle Frames» die to cut out some round windows for my little farm critters.

Next, I adhered a piece of patterned paper (Lawn Fawn «Let's Polka» 6x6 paper pad) onto my «Fog» card base that will show through the circle windows. I white heat embossed a couple of the sentiments included in the set on thin black cardstock strips.

I assembled my card and used a plenty amount of foam tape to pop everything up for dimension. Finally, I adhered some Doodlebug «Tiny Heart» Shape Sprinkles and added random small Nuvo «Limoncello» Jewel Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a sunny weekend!

Hello Bluebird • Wildflower Bouquet • Celebrate

24.06.2018

Hello everyone,

it's no secret that I absolutely adore the cute Hello Bluebird critters. But did you know that they have pretty flowers, too?!

I made this floral card using the gorgeous Wildflower Bouquet set and combined it with a Cheery Greetings sentiment and the Country Gingham Background.

First, I stamped the gingham background with Simon Says Stamp «Fog» light grey ink. Next, I used the stitched frame from the Gallery Frame Die #1 set and cut it from matching SSS «Fog» cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

For my color combo, I was totally inspired by the Altenew Mini Ink Cubes. They are so beautiful! After stamping a bunch of flowers and leaves, I used the Wildflower Bouquet Dies to cut them out. To be honest, it took me quite a while to arrange these die cuts ;-) I finished off this card by adhering some enamel dots and sparkling clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!

Hello Bluebird • Just Sayin' Card Duo

21.06.2018

Hi peeps,

today I'm showcasing the Just Sayin' stamp set from the Hello Bluebird May Release. It comes with three adorable critters which are holding blank boards in their little paws. In the set you will also find a ton of small mix and match sentiments as well as a couple of accessories.

On my first card, I used the cute bear and colored him with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I tried them for the very first time and I like this brown color combo.

I arranged my sentiment and stamped it in black. The accessories were colored with Copics and I used the Just Sayin' companion dies to cut my images out. For the background, I stamped a panel with the Country Gingham Cling Rubber Stamp and Lawn Fawn «Minty Fresh» ink. I adhered it at an angle to my card base made from Simon Says Stamp «Fog» cardstock (it's my favorite light grey one). The gorgeous outdoor-themed patterned paper is from the Bo Bunny «Little Wonders» 6"x6" paper pad. I cut a window using the SSS «Stitched Circle» die. I also added stitched details to the edge with the largest SSS «Stitched Square» die. I popped up the circle window piece and the bear with foam tape.

For my second card, I made use of the patterned paper circle that was left from the first card and matted it with a white cardstock circle which is slightly bigger.

I again adhered a mint gingham panel to a «Fog» card base. The bunny and heart were colored with Copics and I chose the «thank you» sentiment to stamp on the little board. I adhered the images with foam tape and added a wood veneer arrow to finish off this card.

Hope you like this card duo which would be perfect for a crafty friend, right?!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a sunny day!

Stenciled Masculine Birthday Card

10.04.2018

Hi peeps,

most of the time, I find it more difficult to create masculine cards. But the fun Altenew «Cube Builder» stencil and the cool «Birthday Palooza» stamp set by CZ Design for Simon Says Stamp really did the trick.

The «Sweet Dreams» inks I used for the stenciling are also by Altenew. I love that there are four shades of one color in one mini ink cube set. This really takes the guesswork out of choosing the right colors. I white heat embossed the sentiment on MFT «Steel Grey» cardstock.

Although this card is actually supposed to be for a man, I added a little bit of bling by adhering three Pretty Pink Posh «Sea Glass» jewels.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Happy Birthday». Congratulations on celebrating your 9th birthday and thanks for the chance to win one of nine 50$ Gift Vouchers!

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow :-)

DT Stempelgarten Challenge February

05.02.2018

Good morning everyone,

where the heck has the month of January gone?! It's already time for a new Stempelgarten Challenge with the theme «Girly».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

I don't do girly cards that often but I decided to create a card for my sweet little daughter using the adorable princess from the My Favorite Things «Once Upon A Time» set that just looks like her.

I colored the image with Copics and fussy cut her out with my scissors. For the heart in the background, I cut a mask and used the negative part to do some Ink Blending with Distress Oxide Inks («Candied Apple», «Picked Raspberry» and «Wilted Violet»). When it was completely dry, I put the gorgeous Simon Says Stamp «Swirls and Dots» stencil on top and applied a layer of Wendy Vecchi «Translucent» Embossing Paste. I really love the glossy result!

The sentiment is from the same MFT «Once Upon A Time» set and I stamped it in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and covered it with clear embossing powder. I die cut my panel with the largest of the MFT «A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 1» Die-namics and adhered it to a pink card base with a piece of fun foam. I popped up the little princess with foam tape and added some die-cut hearts and sequins to finish off my card.

For my card layout I followed the current MFT Wednesday Sketch #370:

I'm also entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday «Anything Goes» Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #90 with the theme «Love/Hearts».

You will have time until February 28th, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #61

15.01.2018

Hi peeps,

today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog and the theme is «Valentine/Love».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until February 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I made this Valentine's card using the adorable otters from the STAMPtember collaboration set «Christmas like no otter» by Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp.

I picked two patterned papers from the «Hello, Love» paper pad by Crate Paper and die cut a heart window out of the light pink one. I used a My Favorite Things stitched rectangle die to cut the paper a bit smaller than the background paper and also added some stitched details with a white gelly roll pen around the heart. Then I adhered it with fun foam for some dimension. The little hearts are from the same otter stamp set.

I kept the card design pretty simple and stamped the sentiment (MFT «More Essential Sentiments») in VersaFine «Onyx Black» and die cut it with one of the MFT «Stitched Sentiment Strips» Die-namics.

I'm joining the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge with this gorgeous Inspiration Board:

I'm also entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Use Patterned Paper».

Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Peach Birthday Card

04.12.2017

Hello everyone,

EEK! It's already December and I still have no Christmas cards to show. It was my sweet Grandma's birthday on Saturday and of course I made her a card. I was so excited to finally ink up the gorgeous Concord & 9th «Blooms Fill-in» stamp set.

I love that you're able to get a different look by simply changing up your ink colors. I've used Dye Inks by Altenew and Simon Says Stamp. I also heat embossed the berries in clear and the flower stems in gold.

For the birthday greeting, I cut a strip of 40lb vellum, stamped the German sentiment (Stampin' Up! «Landlust») in VersaMark and heat embossed it with WOW! «Metallic Gold Rich Pale» embossing powder.

I'm entering my card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Anything Goes».

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

DT bastel-traum.ch World Card Making Day Blog Hop

07.10.2017

Hello everyone,

today is World Card Making Day and to celebrate this special event the bastel-traum.ch DT comes together for a little inspiration blog hop (big thanks to Nicole for organizing ).

As much as we love creating handmade cards, we also enjoy receiving happy mail, right?! That's why I made this card using the cute panda bears from the Mama Elephant «Incoming Mail» stamp set.

For the background, I masked off a strip and did some ink blending with Distress Oxides («Seedless Preserves», «Picked Raspberry» and «Abandoned Coral»). I really love how easily those inks blend and the color combo looks so yummy! I also added some water droplets to lift the color here and there.

Next, I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out leaving a small white border. I cut the Simon Says Stamp «Sending» word die from black cardstock as well as two little hearts using the ME «Confetti» Creative  Cuts. To give them some extra shine, I covered the die-cuts with clear embossing powder. The sentiment, which I stamped in VersaFine «Onyx Black», is from the SSS «Sending Happy Thoughts» set.

Now I invite you to hop over to Nicole to see the wonderful creation she made.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #57

15.09.2017

Happy Friday everyone,

today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch Blog and we have a Recipe/Tic Tac Toe chart for you.
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
Feel free to pick any three themes in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) to create your project.

This challenge will run until October 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

For my Hello Baby card, I chose the upper horizontal row: Polka Dots • Ribbon • Embossing.

I stamped the cute teepee tent from the Stampin' Up! «Little One» set in «Night of Navy» ink and fussy cut it with scissors. For the white background panel, I used the SU «Large Polka Dot» embossing folder. The patterned papers, which I cut with MFT stitched dies, are by SU, Studio Calico and Create A Smile.

The simple «Hello» sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I also die cut the word «baby» (still one of my favorite Simon Says Stamp dies) three times from navy cardstock. After stacking the die cuts on top of each other, I clear heat embossed it two times to give it a glossy finish.

I tied a bow with some May Arts natural jute string (OK, in fact, that's not really a ribbon *tee-hee*) before adhering the whole design to my navy card base. To finish off the card, I added three wood veneer stars by Studio Calico.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp Always and Forever

29.08.2017

Hi crafty peeps,

today I want to share a wedding card that I made using Simon Says Stamp products and the Emboss Resist technique.

I stamped the beautiful SSS «Emma Background» in VersaMark and heat embossed it in white. Then I did some light-handed blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade).

Next, I die cut the gorgeous SSS «love» word from foiled cardstock («Rose Gold» by Bazzill) and the «bubble» layer underneath from white cardstock. The sub sentiment (WPlus9 «Happy Mail») was white heat embossed on a strip of foiled cardstock as well.

Finally, I decorated my card with Pretty Pink Posh «Rose Gold» sequins and selfmade droplets which were made with WOW! «Melt-It!» embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Birthday Wishes

12.06.2017

Happy Monday everyone,

after spending the weekend in the warm sunshine, I'm back today with this matching masculine birthday card.

I used the nautical-themed «Sailing» stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. At first, I stamped the waves border with SSS «Mali Blue» Dye Ink directly onto my white card base. The sailboat and clouds were colored with Copics and I fussy cut them out. Next, I heat embossed the beautiful «Sail Away» sentiment with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder and also stamped the other sentiment in VersaFine «Onyx Black». Finally, I adhered some leftover strips of patterned paper by Simple Stories.

I'm entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme Make it Masculine.

Happy Birthday Whale

30.05.2017

Hi peeps,

it's been pretty hot over the last couple of days, so here is a little refreshment ;-) Made this masculine birthday card by combining products from several companies.

I've colored the whale from the Paper Smooches «Surf and Turf» with Copics and fussy cut him out. Next, I created an ink blended background using «Tumbled Glass» Distress Ink. I added some water spatters to lift the color here and there. The «Happy Birthday!» sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp «Circle Sayings» set and I stamped it in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.

I die cut two Lawn Fawn «Ocean Wave Borders» from patterned paper by My Favorite Things. To add some stitched details, I used the MFT «Wonky Stitched Rectangle» Die-namics. The word «celebrate» was cut from navy cardstock with a gorgeous scripty Avery Elle «Sentiments» die.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay cool!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #53

15.05.2017

Hello everyone,

today starts a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch Blog and it's all about Men/Boys.
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until June 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

It's always challenging to create those masculine cards, so I decided to play with the fabulous new Distress Oxide Inks and the «Emboss Resist Technique» for my dad's Father's Day card.

At first, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp «Lattice Grid» background on a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I applied several layers of the Distress Oxide Inks «Broken China» and «Cracked Pistachio» – these two colors go so well together!

For my sentiment, I combined the layered SSS «Love» die (cut from navy and white cardstock) with a text from the «More Sketchy Banner Greetings» stamp set that I white heat embossed on vellum. I assembled my card, added a thin strip of navy cardstock and rounded the corners with a punch.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great start into the new week!
