DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #68

15.08.2018

Good morning peeps,

the summer holidays are over and it's time for a new challenge over at the bastel-traum.ch blog«School/Work».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until September 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I created a card for a little girl who started school this week. I used the Create A Smile «Endlich Schulkind» stamp set and one of the «Kleine Worte» dies («Hurra» means «Hooray»). Both products are available in an English version, too («First Day of School» stamps and «Tiny Sentiments» dies).

In the background, I used the fun «Focal Point» stencil with the Distress Oxide Inks «Shaded Lilac» and «Wilted Violet». The images were colored with Copics. I also did some Paper Piecing on the candy cone using yellow polka dot paper. To finish off my card, I added some matching sequins from my stash.

I'm entering the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with the theme «Back To School».

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT Make it Crafty Inspiration | Chipboard Cats in Love

22.10.2016

Hello everyone,

I made an inspiration card using these cute cats from the Make it Crafty «All About Love Elements Chipboard» set.

I heat embossed the chipboard with black embossing powder and put a piece of pink cardstock behind the heart opening. For the background, I chose a black & white type paper from the Pebbles/Jen Hadfield «Cottage Living» paper pad. To add some stitched details on the edges, I die cut the patterned paper with the My Favorite Things «Wonky Stitched Rectangle» Die-namics.

Next, I die cut a heart out of this beautiful floral paper from the Crate Paper «Hello Love» paper pad using the retired MFT «TRANSFORM-ables Heart Full of Love» die. I matted it with a slightly larger heart cut from black glitter paper. I created my sentiment with these fabulous Create A Smile alpha stickers which are available in many different colors. To finish my card, I added three white heat embossed heart chipboards.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a great weekend!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge September

15.09.2015

Good morning everyone,

it's time again for the bastel-traum.ch Challenge and the new theme is «Thanks».
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
The challenge will run until October 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I made a fall-themed project which was inspired by this beautiful card from Debby Hughes. The background totally reminds me of fabric patterns.

I stamped the background using the leaf images from the Simon Says Stamp «One with Nature» stamp set onto «Fog» cardstock which is also from SSS. The solid leaves were stamped with the following Simon Says Stamp Dye Inks: «Catkin», «Duckling» and «Orange Peel». The outline leaf images were stamped in SSS «Stone», Versafine «Onyx Black» and some were white heat embossed.

Then I created a window by die-cutting with one of the Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Circle» dies. I adhered a piece of black cardstock behind the window and popped my panel up with foam tape. The gorgeous scripty «Danke» (which means «Thanks») chipboard is from Create A Smile. Finally, I decorated my card with some Enamel Dots.

With my card I'm joining the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Use A Stamp.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #308

20.01.2015

Good morning everyone,

this week we have this sketch over at the Everybody-Art-Challenge:

And here is my take on it:

For my winter card I've chosen these two cute snowmen from the «Cool Buddies» stamp set by Create A Smile. This is a newer company based in Germany and the stamps are designed by the sweet and talented Christine Drogt. They also have some fun other stuff in the shop like stencils, chipboards and brand new washi tapes, flairs and a paper pack, too.

I dry embossed the white background panel with an older Cuttlebug embossing folder («Dots & Snowflakes») and showed the debossed side of it. For the circle I sponged two Distress Inks («Peacock Feathers» and «Seedless Preserves») with the «Mini Microbial» stencil from The Crafters Workshop.

The snowmen were colored with Copics and they stand on a little snowbank created with «Sea Glass» ink (Simon Says Stamp) and «Frosted Lace» Stickles (Ranger). The white heat embossed sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I embellished my card with some wood veneer snowflakes and sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
