MFT Stamps • January Jenoblade Release Day

30.01.2024

Hi everyone,

it's here! You can now order this month's My Favorite Things Jenoblade Release. Be quick to get your hands on 5 new incredibly cute designs!

Today's birthday card features the sweet JB Tea Party Pals Stamp & Die Duo. My favorite image is the little bear sitting inside the cup.

First, I created an A2 card base from white cardstock. I picked one of the patterned papers from the Joyful Plaid Paper Pad and cut it out with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics set. Next, I cut out a window with one of the Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics. I used the same die to cut an oval from white cardstock. I masked off a good half of the top and blended on Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink at the bottom. I inlaid the oval into the plaid patterned paper and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Finally, I adhered them to the oval.

MFT Stamps • January Jenoblade Release Preview

29.01.2024

Hello sweet friends,

I'm really excited that My Favorite Things is having another Special Jenoblade Release this month. And it is sooo cute! The new products will be available tomorrow at 10 am EST. Please visit the MFT Blog to find out more.

For today's preview project I chose the adorable JB Books & Buddies Stamp & Die Duo and created a one layer card.

I started off with a white A2 card base and trimmed down another white cardstock panel to the same size. With the help of masking, I stamped a little scene using a couple of the images. After coloring them with Copic markers, I covered everything with fussy cut masks to do some stenciling in the background. I used the Small Brick Wall Stencil along with Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink.

Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Hope you like this CAS card :-)

MFT Stamps • January Release Countdown Day 1

05.01.2024

Hello everyone,

we're shaking things up for the upcoming My Favorite Things January Release and are moving back to a Countdown. Customers love to see previews of what's coming and the Design Team is happy to share some inspiration before the new products will be available on Tuesday, January 9th at 10 am EST.

For today's teaser, I used the adorable JB Scent-sational Skunks Stamp & Die Duo to create a love-themed card.

First, I cut and scored an A2 card base from Black Licorice Card Stock. From a piece of masking paper I die cut the biggest of the Heart STAX Die-namics and adhered the neagtive to a white cardstock panel. I blended over the whole heart with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. Next, I applied Kitsch Flamingo over it using the Cloud Stencil. I carefully removed the mask and cut the panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set.

This month some retired colors (cardstocks, inks and refills) are making their comeback! I die cut the top of a Carribean Sea Card Stock strip with one of the Grassy Edges Die-namics. I stamped the punny sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed in white. Next, I stamped the sweet skunks in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and adhered them to the card. The clouds were stamped in Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink to match the stenciled cloudy heart. I cut them out with the matching dies and added them to my little scene.

MFT Stamps • December Release Spotlight Day 2

21.12.2023

Hi everyone,

we're reviewing the awesome new products of the My Favorite Things December Release. Please visit the MFT Blog for another round of DT inspiration.

Today I'm sharing a CAS Friendship card made with the Soda Pop Die-namics, Bottle Cap Die-namics and Soda Pop stamp set which comes with lots of punny sentiments.

I started off with a white A2 top-folding card base and cut one of the diagonal Black & White Stripes papers to the same size. I trimmed down another white cardstock panel to be a bit smaller.

Next, I die cut the bottle from white cardstock and did some ink blending with Distress Oxides (soda: Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry; bottle neck: Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina). For the bubbly look, I splattered on water droplets and dabbed them off with a paper towel. The word 'FIZZ' was stamped in Picked Raspberry onto the label die-cut and I heat embossed it in clear.

I adhered the bottle at an angle in the bottom left corner. With the help of masking, I partially stenciled some bubbles using the Heavy Snowfall Stencil and Kitsch Flamingo ink. The sentiment was stamped in crisp VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. As a little embellishment, I die cut a bottle cap and heart (Ripe Raspberry, Sno Cone and Brushed Silver Card Stock). For some extra shine, I covered the heart with NUVO Crystal Glaze.

MFT Stamps • November Release Spotlight Day 3

17.11.2023

Hello everyone,

it's Day 3 of the My Favorite Things November Release Spotlight and we're still sharing some winter inspiration with the new products.

I started off with a white A2 card base and cut a Sno Cone Card Stock panel with the largest die of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics set.

Next, I created an one-layer-scene with the help of masking. The images were stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic markers. For the sky, I did some faded blending with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink. I cut out the scene with the largest Fanciful Frame die. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and added a small red heart next to it.

MFT Stamps • Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit

10.10.2023

Hello friends,

the gorgeous Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit is now available for purchase. The price for this coordinated collection of products is 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

I again combined the Gingerbread House Die-namics with one of the Gingerbread Greetings. This time, I used the cute gingerbread people and sweet treats to created a love themed Christmas card.

I started off with a white A2 top-folding card base. To create the heart shape, I actually cut out a mask with a die from the Box of Chocolates Die-namics set and used the negative for blending on Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock, added shading with Distress Oxide Inks and grey Copics. I assembled everything and arranged the treats around the heart to build some kind of frame. I adhered the gingerbread couple in the center of the heart and stamped the sentiment below in Amarena Cherry Premium Dye Ink.

MFT Stamps • Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit • Preview

09.10.2023

Hi everyone,

today we're introducing the new Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit that will be available tomorrow at 10 am EDT.

This kit comes with the awesome Gingerbread House Die-namics and the Gingerbread Greetings sentiment stamp set.

Here is the holiday card that I came up with:

First, I cut and scored a card base from white cardstock. I trimmed down another smaller white cardstock panel measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". I masked off the ground and did the fading ink blended background with Distress Oxides (Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio). I switched the mask and blended on Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped on off the sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and set the panel off to dry.

Next, I die cut the parts for the gingerbread house from a patterned paper that is included in the MSTN Sand, Surf, & Sky Paper Pad. I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Ink. The scalloped trimmings for the roofs and chimney were cut from white cardstock and I added Nuvo Glimmer Paste to them for some sparkle. The other house parts and sweets were die cut from white (I applied some light shading with Distress Oxides) and colored cardstock (Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, Field Day, Sno Cone and Milk Chocolate).

Finally, I assembled the card by adhering all the die-cuts to the ink blended panel and added a bit of Crystal Stickles to the lollipops.

MFT Stamps • March Card Kit Release

28.03.2023

Hi peeps,

the wait is over! You can now order the jam-packed At the Movies Card Kit and all the fabulous add-ons.

The price for this collection of coordinated products is more than 30% off the cost of buying the elements separately.

I did some creative masking for today's One Layer Card on which I combined the Birdie Brown Birthday Bears with the small images from the Concesson Signage stamp set.

First, I created a standard A2 sized card from white cardstock. I stamped the two bears at the center and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped parts of the images again onto post-it notes to mask off the paws. Now I stamped the popcorn and drink over the masks to make it look like the bears are holding them. After coloring the images, I stamped out new masks to cover up everything before doing the background.

To create the floor, I masked off about two thirds of the top and blended on Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink which is a perfect light grey. Then I switched the mask to cover up the bottom and lightly applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink in circular motions.

Next, I put the Sunny Rays Stencil on top and sponged through Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, letting the color fade out towards the outside. Finally, I stamped one of the Picture-Perfect Sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink below the bears.

Here's the March Card Kit again (don't forget to have a look at the add-ons):

MFT Stamps • March Card Kit • Countdown Day 2

26.03.2023

Happy Sunday peeps,

today we're introducing this month's entertaining At the Movies Card Kit that will be available on Tuesday, March 28th at 10 am EST.

Do you enjoy movies? Then this kit with its innovative products is just perfect as it allows you to come up with all kinds of movie-themed scenes!

On today's card, I used the At the Movies - Romance stamps and one of the Picture-Perfect Sentiments. The Movie Screen Die-namics, Landscape Die-namics and Rear View Die-namics helped create a romantic scene in a drive-in cinema.

I started off with a landscape A2 card base and a Bristol Smooth Cardstock panel in the same size. I masked off the bottom third and did an ink blended sunset sky using Distress Oxides (Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Black Soot). After letting it dry, I switched the mask to cover the sky and blended Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink together to create the grass. After die cutting the bushes and trees, I added the same ink colors to them that I previously used for the sky.

Next, I die cut the movie screen and car from colored cardstock (Black Licorice, Blue Beyond, Summer Splash, Amarena Cherry, Gravel Gray, Smooth White). I used the heart die from the Love Icons Die-namics set to create a sunset movie scene (Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold) with the silhouette heads of the couple stamped in black.

I adhered all the die-cuts to the scene and also put two people (Heads Up Die-namics) inside the car. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink directly onto the grass.

I masked off a good portion of the top to create the ground by ink blending the Distress Oxides Salvaged Patina and Cracked Pistachio. For some interest, I added ink splatters with a paint brush.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment above the image using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

GD Sunny Studio Stamps • Cozy Christmas

29.10.2022

Hi everyone,

I'm so happy to be back again as a guest over on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm showcasing the wonderful Cozy Christmas Stamps from the latest Holiday Release.

On my first sample, I used the stamps for a non-holiday card and created a sweet little living room scene.

First, I started off with a white A2 card base and die cut the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies from light blue cardstock. In the next step, I die cut the stitched scalloped mat from the Mini Mat & Tag 3 Dies set out of white cardstock. I masked off the scallop border as well as the stitching and did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks. For the wall background, I blended on Tattered Rose and a little bit of Saltwater Taffy. The floor was done in Pumice Stone. I let it dry completely and stamped one of the Penguin Party sentiments in VersaMark Ink. I heat embossed it with Ranger Platinum Embossing Powder. For a bit of dimension, I popped up the scalloped mat with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. On the armchair, I did some Paper Piecing with blue gingham paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack. I also created a little rug from a piece of Flirty Flowers patterned paper.

Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the images and floral rug with liquid glue and adding a red enamel heart next to the heat embossed sentiment.

The second sample had to be a holiday card and I really wanted to use the comfy sofa.

I created a landscape A2 card base from white cardstock and covered the front with a striped Joyful Holiday paper. I cut the largest of the Stitched Oval 2 Dies from white cardstock. I also used it on a piece of woodgrain patterned paper (Subtle Grey Tones Paper Pack) and a thin white cardstock strip. In  the background, I did some faded ink blending with Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Then, I adhered the woodgrain floor and white strip to the bottom half of the oval. I stamped the sentiment on top using aqua blue pigment ink.

The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers. I paper pieced the pillows and cut everything out with the coordinating dies.

I adhered the images to finish off the scene and applied some Crystal Stickles to the white parts of the christmas tree decor.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a cozy weekend!

MFT Stamps • Wednesday Sketch Challenge 613

28.09.2022

Hi everyone,

we have a new sketch over at the MFT Blog for our weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I created a CAS card using the adorable Bookworm Bears stamps and also dies from the latest Coffee Shop Card Kit.

Here is this week's sketch #613:

First, I made an A2 top folding card base from Tropical Teal Card Stock. I trimmed down a white cardstock panel to be slightly smaller and masked off two rectangles on the right side. I did some soft ink blending with Distress Oxides (top: Salvaged Patina, bottom: Tattered Rose).

Next, I stamped the images (the stack of books is from the YUZU School Is Cool stamp set) and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I stamped the sentiment included in the BB Our Story set in Salvaged Patina and heat embossed it with Embossing Glaze in the same color. Then I die cut the mug (Be Your Own Barista Die-namics) and lamp (Industrial Finishes Die-namics) from colored cardstock. Finally, I assembled the two little scenes by adhering the images and die-cuts with liquid glue.

GD Sunny Studio Stamps • Baby Elephants

13.08.2022

Hi everyone,

I'm so honored to be back again as a guest over on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog. Today I'm featuring the absolutely adorable Baby Elephants Stamps.

For my first card, I created a summer scene by combining two of the elephants with the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die.

First, I created an A2 landscape card base from white heavyweight cardstock. I then die cut all the pieces for my beach scene and started on working on the background. I masked off the bottom to create a horizont and stenciled the clouds with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. The gradient ink blending for the water was done with Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I colored the sand (Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap) and palm trees (Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot) with Distress Oxide Inks as well. The sea gulls were die cut from light grey cardstock.

I stamped the elephants in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating Baby Elephants Dies. The sentiment (Inside Greetings Birthday Stamps) was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a turquoise cardstock strip and heat embossed in white.

Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the die cuts and images. I layered two of the white stitched frames on top of each other for a bit of dimension.

Of course, I also had to make a Baby card with the sweet elephant sleeping in the clouds.

I started off with a lilac A2 card base and picked the purple starry patterned paper from the Surprise Party 6x6 Paper Pack. I die cut it with the full-size A2 stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set. To create a window opening, I used the second largest of the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies.

For the purple night sky background, I did some circular ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks (Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet and Milled Lavender). I used the cloudy border from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies set and cut it from white cardstock. I added Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to the top edge.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with their matching dies. I arranged and glued down everything behind the semi-circle window and popped up the starry patterned paper panel with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock fishtail banner and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered it below the elphant image to finish off my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing weekend!
