Hello everyone,
hopefully, you all had a good start to the new year. Unfortunately, we were sick since Christmas :-(
But today I'm finally back with my belated card for the first Stempelgarten Challenge in 2018. The brand-new theme is «Brrr… Freezing!».
I picked this cute snowman from the Paper Smooches «Cool Dudes» stamp set and framed him with the beautiful «Frostyville Wreath» by Memory Box.
In the background, I did some faded blending with Distress Oxide Inks and added white paint splatters to mimic little snowflakes. I cut my panel using a My Favorite Things «Stitched Wonky Rectangle» die. Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the MFT «Polar Pals» set and cut it with a «Slanted Sentiment Strip» die. Finally, I adhered some matching enamel dots.
You will have time until January 31st, 2018 to join the Stempelgarten Challenge and this is the prize you could win:
A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Anja

Hi peeps,
it's been pretty hot over the last couple of days, so here is a little refreshment ;-) Made this masculine birthday card by combining products from several companies.
I've colored the whale from the Paper Smooches «Surf and Turf» with Copics and fussy cut him out. Next, I created an ink blended background using «Tumbled Glass» Distress Ink. I added some water spatters to lift the color here and there. The «Happy Birthday!» sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp «Circle Sayings» set and I stamped it in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder.
I die cut two Lawn Fawn «Ocean Wave Borders» from patterned paper by My Favorite Things. To add some stitched details, I used the MFT «Wonky Stitched Rectangle» Die-namics. The word «celebrate» was cut from navy cardstock with a gorgeous scripty Avery Elle «Sentiments» die.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay cool!

Summer
30.09.2016
Happy Friday everyone,
I'm enjoying the last days of summer, so I made this colorful inspiration card for the Make it Crafty Store Blog.
The image I've chosen is called Sam's Lizard – isn't he a cutie?! I colored him and his little friend with Copics and fussy cut them out. For the background I lightly blended some blue ink and let it fade out toward the top. I wanted to make Sam sit on a rainbow which I cut with a Paper Smooches die.
I combined the layered Birthday Word Chipboard (size: 2 inches) with two Simon Says Stamp («Circle Sayings») sentiments which I heat embossed in white on black cardstock. Both layers of the word chipboard were heat embossed, too. I added some cloud outlines to the background using the Lawn Fawn «Simple Puffy Cloud Frames».
I'm entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.
Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow :-)

Hello everyone,
the last month flew by like crazy and this means it's time for a new Pinterest Inspired Challenge.
This is the gorgeous inspiration photo for April:
It's so colorful and fresh which totally makes me think of spring. Besides, I just love everything floral! This is my take:
Inspired by the beautiful colors from the photo I did some Distress Ink watercolor washes in coral, pink, aqua and blue tones and let everything dry completely. I also wanted to incorporate the white outlines of the flowers to my design. The fabulous Paper Smooches «Adorable Array» die was the perfect choice to do some Inlaid Die-Cutting. I cut it from Simon Says Stamp «Fog» cardstock, plain white Ranger/Tim Holtz «Distress Watercolor Cardstock» and my watercolored panels. I assembled all the pieces which was really fun!
I stamped the «Thanks» sentiment (a free-with-order stamp from Paper Smooches) in VersaMark and heat embossed it in white. Finally, I embellished my card with sequins by Little Things from Lucy's Cards and Pretty Pink Posh.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great Friday!

Hi peeps,
I want to show you another homework for the Online Card Class «Stretch your dies».
This is my card for Day 2 – Flower Dies:
Kristina Werner showed this great technique called «Die Cuts Within Larger Die». This means die-cutting an arrangement using small dies.
At first, I die-cut a bunch of the flowers and leaves with a Paper Smooches dies set. I arranged them close to each other and put a piece of masking paper on top to keep everything in place. Then I run it through my die-cutting machine using a MFT heart die. I glued my die-cuts to a kraft card base before carefully removing the masking paper. Love how it turned out!
I added some glitter using my Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen.
To finish my card, I die-cut the beautiful «Hand Lettered Hello» by WPlus9 from white cardstock and adhered it on top of the heart.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Good morning everyone,
it's time again for our monthly «Same but different» challenge. Do you want to know more about this challenge? Please click HERE.
This time we used the «Botanicals 2» stamp set from Paper Smooches:
And here is the card I created with this versatile floral set:
For a really long time I wanted to try out the technique inspired by Jennifer McGuire which is called «Ghost Stamping». This means you stamp with white pigment ink first (I used Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink) and then you stamp another layer with pigment or dye ink on top, just slightly offset. Both types of inks (Avery Elle pigment inks and Memento dye inks) worked really well for the colored stamping. I love how the white and the colors pop against the Kraft cardstock.
Another fun technique is «Camouflaging Die Cuts» which I first discovered on one of the gorgeous cards from another talented lady: Laura Bassen. Therefore I used the «hello» word die from the Paper Smooches' «Quote Tag» set which I cut directly from my stamped panel. To achieve this great dimensional look I die-cut the hello three more times from the Kraft cardstock and stacked all pieces together with the stamped one on top.
If you have the same stamp set and get inspired by our challenge, feel free to play it with us! Leave a direct link to your project in the comment field below (No back links, please! It will be funnier to see new creations!). You can also upload your cards to our Same but different challenge Flickr gallery!
Now hop over to Francine to see her awesome creation.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Sunday!
